The girls are pretty good, and the show can be pretty emotional. I'd say about 80% of the "super sad" backstories didn't interest me at all, but the one's that did really made me feel.
The soundtrack is pretty memorable and covers a lot of bases. Some of the OPs and EDs were top tier.

A lot of the side characters were good, like Rock Lee, Gai, Tobirama, Killer Bee, Shikamaru and a few others. Most of rhe kages were quite cool as well.
Basically everyone other than the main cast was interesting, which is a problem. Also when he isn't being a lazy tard, Kishimoto can draw quite well, his colour double page spreads were always good. WSJ should let him make the mafia manga that he's wanted to make for a while properly rather than just a one shot.
