I don't get

I don't get.

I don't, why would a mage go for vitality instead of intelligence?

If she were a dancer VIT would make sense.

Because this is not your shit rpg stat allocation story.

A mage that can tank hits will fight longer and cast more spells and deal more damage

>INT
>not WIS

>WIS
>not CHA

She's got massive CHA already

Yeah, if they cast Magic Missle all the time and are a walking mana potion dispenser.

You need vitality for HP. A mage that lives longer can be more valuable than a mage with more capable spells.

>those disgusting mounds of cancer
>CHA

No.

Her final goal is obviously to please men and goblins so makes sense

all VIT, everything else is for gear requirements

Because she doesn't want to die :^)

But if she casts stronger spells the enemy dies faster and she won't need vitality.

>A mage that can tank hits will fight longer
But there's a huge opportunity cost there. Every point invested in VIT is a point not invested in INT, ie. a point not invested in making the mage stronger in what the mage is supposed to do. You then end up with guys like Manato, who put so many stats in their physical abilities (despite not being optimized for it at all) that they can't focus on their job: healing.

Adventurers are in parties because they must specialize. A party of specialists is more than merely the sum of their parts. Moguzo was a good tank, and if Ranta focused more on his tanking abilities that'd be a good front line. With Yume (who has pretty impressive STR) and Haruhiko being able to jump in as they are needed, Shihoru could blast away at the enemy and Manato could keep the frontline alive.

>B-But muh vulnerable caster
She's DPS, her job is to finish the battle quickly with powerful spells. In her case a good offense is the best defense.

This party is full of scrubs. I know that's the point, but they're still scrubs.

>optimized
>Grimgar

Stop posting.

>not min maxing
There is a reason why they're a shit team.

>This party is full of scrubs. I know that's the point, but they're still scrubs.
This party is full of scrubs. I know that's the point, but they're still scrubs.
Try reading.

You're missing the point.

There is literally no optimization in Grimgar whatsoever. Manato is not putting stats into anything in the first place because the concept of stats don't exist in their universe. He was not a poor healer, he didn't have the time to become a good one.

>LN licensed
>translator dropped it since they are having problems anyway
Fuck.

>No summaries for latest volume

I just want to know

To live the fucking dream

In a game like Wizardry you can spend points on both and later levelups are randomized.
The role of a mage is being the reserve. Stick around until you're needed and pull the party out of a mess when shit hits the fan.

Because she mains PvP, focusing on harassing with CC and silences. Or she's absolutely terrible.

Also
>int
>not spell power

>not making a tanky mage
>not standing your ground and finishing the cast while the other mages run away like pussies
Well, at least until the devs go full retard and ruin the game with their "vision".
