On that note, Pre-Suasion was one of the best books on psychology I've read. It's a bit freaky how people en masse can be primed to be more accepting of ideas via very simple images and other subtle mechanisms. It's useful if you want to get into sales.
I teach and i was able to apply the concepts from both Influence and Pre-Suasion to get my students to be more accepting of me both as a teacher and a mentor. I was able to establish a benevolent dominance with my students more effectively and was able to get them to focus and perform, and outperform themselves. Made everything better in the classroom and helped foster great relationships with my pupils desu

It was a boring book, fortunately short read though.
Author seems to think his audience is retarded, probably correct since the intended one is american 20 year olds.
Some of the conclusions would win olympic golds for the jumping required.
