>One time the dying boy wrote to me and he said I should write Bleach how I want, so fuck you,if you don't like the ending go bitch to that sick shit that's propably dead btw

More or less, maybe he was a little less straightforward. If someone wants to correct me go ahead, I'm not good at moonrunes

What a jerk.

That kid died after reading the last chapter

Is he asking people to find out how's the boy doing? He shows the letter on his twitter.

Lol kubo never ceases to crack me up

There was no adress, so he asks people if they know anything about the boy

He managed to write BLEACH for 15 years. This is all thanks to the readers. He has received ten thousands of fan letters over the years. From 3 year old children to 78 year old ladies. He has read and kept every single letter. They helped him push through whenever he felt like giving up.

But his health started deteriorating in the 10th year.

His doctor told him it was just a cold. In the past, he would get better in a day or so. But this suddenly changed. He’d be bedridden for a week. Whenever JUMP Magazine would have a double issue [and therefore be on a break the next week], he’d stay in bed the entire week to rest. But after a while, that stopped working too. Whenever he thought he was better, he’d get a cold again. No matter what he did. It was an endless cycle.

He felt pathetic. He felt he was failing as a mangaka. A mangaka is someone who delivers a manga with a set quality within a set time. So should he really continue the series? Should he stop? But the story is only halfway finished. What should he do? How should he end it? He thought about this every, every, every single day.

But then he got a letter. One letter. It had no name or address on it.

It was from a sick boy. His medicine had stopped working and he was now hospitalized, stuck in bed. He was unable to enjoy anything, because whenever he’d watch TV or play games, he’d be reminded of the times he had spent with his friends. He learned his sickness was incurable. If so, he wanted to die right away. But he was told to please live the days he had left: 18 months.

The boy wrote that he had decided to immerse himself in the world of manga as a way to enjoy his last days. He read various manga and ended up discovering BLEACH. The thought of “wanting to read the next volume of BLEACH” was the first time since his hospitalization that he had thought about “tomorrow”. BLEACH changed his world. BLEACH gave him life again.

The boy had asked this letter to be sent after his death. In other words, the boy has already passed on.

The letter ended with the words: “Kubo-sensei, I have one final request. Please draw BLEACH the way you want to draw it, right until its conclusion. That’s what I want to read.”

Kubo has one request to the people reading his message. He asks for people to help him find out who wrote the letter. He understands this is a difficult and selfish request, however: “I want to express my gratitude towards him. Because, he is unable to read this thank-you manga.”

>I ended the manga right at the 15th anniversary mark with ichihime

Fabulous bastard.

True or not, this is worth making a manga about,

Dammit, I sure hope he wasn't a IRfag.

Kazooie is that young boy reborn.

From the sound of it, the fan was probably too young to even know what Shipping is.

This certainly confirms that the reason for Bleach's end was Kubo's health.

>I ended Bleach the way I wanted
So the man himself admits to being a complete hack.

He cut the filler and rushed the ending, but the outcome remains the same.
Ichigo never got the chance to use his full power and perhaps that is for the best. Orihime got her five lifetimes and Ichigo killed god. Hopefully we will know more in the LNs, they have a habit of adding useful background info after all.

Reading comprehension isn't found here apparently. Kubo admitted that his health started to deteriorate and in all likelihood that was the reason for the abrupt ending.

I don't even mind how Bleach ended, I just hate how we got there. Why was Ichigo's original Zangetsu within his Bankai and why was it the only weapon capable of killing Ywach? What happened to Yoruchi, her brother and Urahara?

hopefully he'll have more freedom in his next manga. working non-stop and only getting a break during golden week is rough~

It's interesting how Kubo drew less and less backgrounds because of his health and yet was too prideful to let his assistants do it. It's like he is a Bleach Character.

Eh this looks fake

The part about his health is 100% real. He already implied that several times in past volumes. Don't know about the kid though.

Drawing weekly manga just strains the body way too much and you will be dead before you hit 60.
That's probably why Tezuka and Ishinomori died so early.

How severe is it? I know that he caught ill from time to time, but I thought it was just a mild immune deficiency brought on by the occupation.

I can explain all that.
>Why was Ichigo's original Zangetsu within his Bankai
Because Ichigo initially interrupted Nimaiya while the sword was being reforged. It returning to its original form signifies that Ichigo's powers are once again 'whole' and the sword was reforged. And also that his quincy powers are still with him.
>why was it the only weapon capable of killing Ywach?
Yhwach was killed due to a number of reasons.
1. Uryu's arrow stopped his almighty long enough for Ichigo to deal a decisive blow.
2. His powers had not fully returned when Ichigo struck him.
3. It's not the sword itself that was the only thing capable of killing him, but the form of the sword that caught him off guard. When he saw the original form of Zangetsu coming at him he thought back to the vision he had as he was waking up that he had initially dismissed as a nightmare and not a vision of The Almighty. So when he saw the shikai blade he flinched and that slight delay created an opening for Ichigo, while Yhwach was still recovering from the arrow.
And lastly perhaps
4. He saw another future possibility. Instead of continuing to fight he was always going to lose he decided to escape and make Ichigo's future son his host. Kazui, who he knows Ichigo will never be able to strike down and who will have vast potential and skill surpassing even Ichigo himself. So instead of continuing to fight a losing battle he made a retreat and sought a better vessel.
He wasn't the ruler of the ancient world for nothing.

Tezuka was a work horse who slaved on several weekly manga at a time. Modern mangaka are pussies compared to Tezuka. But yeah, Japanese industrial practices are dog shit.

...

Jesus... All these guys have health problems. It's all stress and lack of fitness and nutrition. Freaking jump needs to make more ergonomic and better flexible contracts for the authors. They get treated like shit.

Kubo has been looking cleaner and healthier again after having not been working the past few months. Goes to show how fucking awful Shuisa is.

>that kid died disappointed by bleach

Point being, if he knew he had to end it sooner than he initially wanted due to sickness, he wouldn't have drawn out all the stupid fucking meaningless henchman duels, sidelining the main villain, and only tell the audience what his motivations even were just weeks before ending it. If he wasn't a hack, that is. But he didn't, so he's a fucking hack.

>Kubo kubo-ing delusionalfags so badly
Made me giggle.

Don't forget he also took a lengthy hiatus last year or the year before, which was uncharacteristic for him.

I bet the kid dropped bleach too

Not sure if that is a Jump problem or a Japan problem.

I don't get why these fuckers can't do a 6 month hiatus to recover. Pump for 2 years, recover half a year.

Not everyone has Togashi's godly contract. Also it goes against their honor. Just look at Oda.

Welcome to Japan where you live to work and die. Even if you're a broken mess in the hospital you're still expected to at least try and continue your work. So think about it, all that work along with having to constantly get drunk and smoke with your bosses along with the expectation and stress of having a family. It's no wonder the average japanese dies in their 60's and it's no wonder a good chunk of them are embracing the single forever 2D over 3D life style.

Not for every piece of shit of course, but for the top sellers who had series going for >5 years. Man, productivity and health (physical & mental) could vastly improve if you gave them an oppurtunity to catch a breath.

>Togashi's godly contract
You mean the one where he puts his manga on long hiatuses due to his own reoccurring health issues? I mean I don't know what it was with Kubo's health exactly but for Togashi it's an issue that isn't going away and that directly affects his ability to work on manga.

>wonder the average japanese dies in their 60's

The average japanese has the highest life expectancy. What I don't get is how they're so far behind e.g. german productivity or general western science with their 24/7 workload.

>health issues
Motherfucker is jacking it to sailor moon and playing dragon quest.

This is more of a thing for Japanese people who work for more than 8 hours daily and not limited only to mangaka.

Got distracted by something

He should just do a monthly series then and you're telling me this is how he wanted it to end?

>the fan was probably too young to even know what Shipping is
Life is a bitch and then you die.

Bleach is 2deep4u shipperfag.
The ending was planned to be a letdown for maximum butt hurt.

...

Shit, now we have to jump back in time to kill the snot before nature does to get proper bleach ending. this is getting tad complicated. /s

Kubo is great!
I love bleach!
My favorite ed :

Not even being ironic here.

Also, Orihime was main love interest since the one shot.

user died

No, this is called Kubo ending. lol

I like how Kubo knows he's a manlet.

>dying boy
>That kid died after reading the last chapter
explain further

It was that bad.

just as expected from kubo hack

The boy never read the final chapter. Kubo got the letter like 4 years ago or something AFTER the boy died. He never saw the shitty final arc, probably just Fullbringer.

This, Kubo got the letter right after Ginjou's defeat. So it was the climax of the Fullbring arc, kid likely realized halfway through like when the Soul Reaper's showed up and the ratings were tanking that Kubo was being forced of his plans for the sake of popularity which is why he told him to write the manga how he wanted to rather than how his editors or fans wanted it and I guess Kubo held himself true to that if the ass ending with Rukia and Renji and Orihime and Ichigo is any indication. Nobody actually wanted those pairings. Not the fanbase, not the animation studio, not Kubo's bosses. Just Kubo.

>bleach ended
>every story I ever loved will end
>so many people died before reading the ending

All these moments, lost in time.

So this kid ruined Bleach.

This is actually really touching.

Somehow I envy that dead kiddo.

So the kid wrote this letter years ago and Kubo instead of mentioning something earlier on twitter or in jump comments decides to use him as a defense becuase people keep spamming his twtter with gay porn? That's a new low

>Nobody actually wanted those pairings

I'm in favor of harems, but I know a lot of people who backed the canon endgame.

>Nobody actually wanted those pairings
Stop this lie

>One time the dying boy wrote to me and he said I should write Bleach how I want, so fuck you,if you don't like the ending go bitch to that sick shit that's propably dead btw
I'm going to assume he didn't say this like that

You don't say

>every story I ever loved will end

Except Onepiece.

Shit didn't think this would hit my fee fees so hard.

You mean before he wrote the letter or at some point in time when the ending would actually fit in?

There's a kid who was told the ending before he died.

>>I ended Bleach the way I wanted
HAHAHAHAHA
Finally proof that Kubo really was a hack and Bleach wasn't cancelled. You cant blame Shounen Jump for that shitty ending anymore Kubo defence force.

Yeah, cause one's health doesn't affect things at all.

That was a fake article from some clickbait site.

>Nobody actually wanted those pairings. Not the fanbase, not the animation studio, not Kubo's bosses. Just Kubo.

Even if that retarded statement was true, so what?

It's Kubo's manga, he is the author.

OF COURSE HE'S GOING TO END IT HOW HE WANTS.

I wonder how DB is reacting to this.

>You cant blame Shounen Jump for that shitty ending anymore Kubo defence force.
Kubo defence force promptly arrives

What the fuck happened? I remember there was hardly anyone defending Kuboshits when the series wasn't a kill, but now that Bleach is over Bleachtards show up in thread. Was there some migration I'm not aware of?

/this

>says the shipper cancer

>Finally proof that Kubo really was a hack
We needed proof of that? I thought it was just common knowledge.

Ichiruki shippers confirmed worst fandom.

>criticized Bleach
>OH HE MUST BE A SHIPPER
You people are insane.

That could be touching if the ending and last arc weren't so half assed.

...

Have nips been harassing him or is it just autistic foreigners?

Fucking Japanese cold.

Drowning in the shit flowing out of their prolapsed assholes

she's kinda right though, even if I guess she's only complaining about IchiRuki not hapening.

...

...

Foreigners mostly. As always.

As far as I saw, nips keep spamming his twitter with shops of that pornstar
