Nuclear Survival Thread

What are your plans? If SHTF happens, what would you do? Who do you think will drop the bombs?

No plans, I am 49 so too old to worry, the 80's nuke panics were enough without going through all that again .
If it happens & I am home I will go to bed & pull the sheets over my head.
If I am at Work I will shit all over my managers car

Apologies

No bother.
Tbh who wants to live in the post fallout world?
Can't be much fun?

If a nuke goes off anywhere in the world I have formulated and prepared as good evac plans as a semi degenerate working poor leaf with some social capital can muster. Basically have one or two spots in remote rural areas with enough provisions for 6 months ready to go. Could be gone in under 15 mins and out side the city but if a full scale Russia or China attack is launched we'd probably be fucked no matter what.

Well I can't imagine dying in the most intense fire to be that much fun either. I'd find something to do

None. Because it won't.

South jersey here, absolutely nothing, if im not instantly incinerated then my skin will just ignite and i will burn to death from the heat. Either way there is no chance of surviving, in basically fucked.

what makes you so sure?

>dont have nukes
>insignificant and irrelevant country in every other way too
>avoid getting nuked
:^)

how to avoid nuclear winter? or are you accustomed to the cold and radiation in the north?

Family has a small cabin up north out in the woods far away from most civilization.

While it was kind of shitty going there with my alcoholic dad and one of his new wives as a kid. it'd be a nice place to live.

I know how to hunt too, but realistically I'd need to stock that place up with lots of canned food etc. Not that good of a hunter and the winters in northern europe are brutal.

Once the nuclear fallout gets into the jetstreams and earth is slowly enveloped in it's radioactive coffin that will probably choke out most life, I'll die in my cabin bleeding to death internally. But atleast I didn't have to live the horrors of civilizations collapse in the city and neighbouring areas.

Nice, dude. Do you think anything will survive? I've heard that the southern hemisphere would go largely unaffected by the nuclear winter

There's no money to be made from it. Deep state won't allow it. Also even without that no one has the Gaul to do it

More probable I'll starve since the winter won't quit once shtf.

Turbocancer from fallout/ozone being blown out or starving from a never ending winter. What a choice.

There's enough nuclear arsenal to kill everyone directly 50 times over.

>You escape direct blast.
>You escape secondary blast effects.
>You escape nuclear caused seismic activity.
>You escape floods, hurricanes.
>You escape nuclear winter from the bombs directly.
>You escape Yellowstone nuclear winter from seismic activity.
>You escape famine from the destruction of the world's seven day supply chain.
>You escape disease from carnage and flood creating unhygenic conditions everywhere.

>The other guy that escaped shoots you for your last can of Van de Camps pork and beans.

I live near two abandoned nuclear bunkers left by the military in the 90's. I've already changed the locks on one and have began putting stuff in there.

noone has the gaul.
middle eastern terrorists, middle eastern governments, eastern governments, eastern terrorists etc

eh better than dying insignificant in a quick flash of heat

where roughly are they? I have one like that but it has guards n shit

There will be a lot of fallout and the probable global cooling, so I think the safest areas to weather out the nuclear holocaust will be parts of northern south america and upper-mid africa.

...

Shrewsbury. There's two here.
Mate, there's around 250 in the UK abandoned. About 80 are concreted, most are gutted, but this one has working aquaponics (just need to add the fish and plants obviously) and radio with electrical system. Bit of graffiti and some old mattresses, but otherwise golden.
Even got 3 old hazmat suits. Big orange bastards.

They're not abandoned, and by changing the locks, you're putting yourself in line for *serious* jail time.

Hope I'll get the bomb dropped on my literal head so I don't have to deal with any of this shit any longer.

>live next to NASA
I reckon I'll die when the bombs drop

is this one? Cause this isn't abandoned

OCE is fucked too since the rapid change in water temperature will mean there's will be almost no fish left, as well large radiological/chemical spills will travel along the major coasts, so being inland seems to be the best option.

Yes they are. They're from the cold war. There's no guards or anything. They're literally out in the open and listed as decommissioned according to the military.

If squatters go to em to live and couples are shagging in them, I doubt the military has much interest in the sites.

Yep. None of them. They would've done it by now if they did. Because they too know they'd have nothing to gain from it.

radiation and ashfall are the issues
radiation will cause issues long term
ashfall will fuck everything up for the first three, four years
the only thing that matters is whether nature survives it because if it doesn't then there is no long term food source outside of indoor farming
and population will drop to single thousands, maybe tens over a hundred years from long term effects even if industrialised indoor farming happens for food

The shit is the cabal. (yes, unironically, tired of dancing around the correct word to use)

The fan is Karma.

Your shit will also hit your fan but deal with it, don't climb and barricade a clocktower with a high powered rifle.
If your'e down for it SHTF can be a positive experience for those who don't have serious skeletons in their closet they'd rather die then have made known.

Not that one.
The one I'm talking about is out in some woods. Near a pile of rocks, you open a hatch and there's a rusty as fuck ladder going down like 20 feet. Some urban exploration bloke mapped it years ago, you can probably find it if you search "Shrewsbury coldwar bunkers".

I have these 2 near me. Not sure how good they'd be (the government building is a wreck)(yes, you can tell my location from these. If I got stabbed, I'm not sure it would be anything new here ._.)

If shtf I'm getting a horse, a rifle and a trench coat.

>become complete badass
>riding on my horse, suddenly I see a group of bandits looting a store front
>3 of them
>ride up to them and point my rifle, they know damn well the end is nigh
>blast one in the face, ride horse into another one knocking him over.
>the 3rd guy fumbles for his pistol, yet isn't fast enough
>shoot him in the leg, chamber another round and fire directly into his chest
>2nd bandit stands up, pulls out a knife
>get down from horse to fight the final bandit in fair combat
>he lunges at me, I sidestep and take a minor graze to the arm
>I then kick him so hard in the back of the head that his brains splatter everywhere
>Ride off into the distance like a motherfucker

>mfw the graze gets infected and I die a week later

It's up to you.

They do check them very occasionally, for precisely the purpose of checking that no-one is making them inaccessible, as you have done. They are still to be used in the event of them being needed, they can be setup in next to no time at all.

you forgot
>die in the blast

Ex government buildings always have some sneaky things in them like underground tunnels. The first one looks a bit structurally unsafe though.

If that was true they'd repair the ladder. I doubt they want their blokes to break their necks on rusty ones that fall apart.

yeah, lots of people go in there, and it is a fucking wreck. My friend has seen a metal trap door, and has opened it to find a ladder down, but has never gone down. I have been in goosnargh bunker once, and it seems that the electric is kinda still running?

Never heard of that one. A lot still do have the electrics working. Some even have the water still on.

This shit is just defeatism
Yall niggers need to Google /k/'s Oppenheimer threads
Nuclear winter was very improbable at the height of the cold war, it's literally impossible now. 90% of the population won't die from the fire and radiation, they die from disease, conflict, starvation and dehydration.
The lucky ones die in the fire.

>The lucky ones die in the fire.
Wrong, the lucky ones die getting shot by raiders defending their base.

>I am 49 so too old to worry, the 80's nuke panics were enough without going through all that again .

here's a bit of nightmare nostalgia for ya mate
youtu.be/MrHoMSRZOS4

Wrong, the lucky ones die finding new anomalies

antarctica

That's easy mate.

I own a house with a small dock and fishing boat in The Isles Of Scilly.

>Catch a fuck ton of fish weeks before the bombs drop
>Buy other items that are a necessity for survival such as tinned food, tools, and porno mags

>Build barricade around house leaving dock at the back open for fishing/escape
>Trade fish for blowjobs through the barricade to desperate locals
>Become fishking of the island and have sex with any woman that I want in exchange for power and fish
>When fish supplies are running low, attempt to catch more and don't tell anyone their radioactive but demand anal for exchange of fish.

>When I feel like leaving, impregnate as many women as I can, pack my stuff up and sail away.

if you get above 5k sealvl you chance of being a live after nuke drops will %like 50 ez

I have firearms, so I'll probably go hunt pakis for sport.

post pics mate.

I will probably shelter from the fallout for a while and then report to my army unit, if it survives. Order must be maintained, especially if the civilian government collapses. You get regular free food AND get to shoot edgy degenerates.

firearm? that flag doesn't match bud. Low quality bait.

Are your chances higher or lower if you jump into a swimming pool while the nukes go off?

I live in north Norway the least nuke-able place in the world.
And if someone decided to nuke some ice for some reason my house has 2 story basement that i store food in so I'm alright

much higher, would suggest

A room with lead insulation layer will keep you safe from radiation... good luck finding enough lead, the lefties deemed it evil back in the late 1970s
