I like the thought that Cocona would be the super happy drunk type and would be all touchy feely with Papika while Papika would just be kinda quietly happy and snuggle in Cocona's lap.

Cocona really strikes me as the type who starts excited but regresses into a sobbing, emotional wreck feeling sorry for herself by the end.

Really? I seem to remember people saying 4 was weaker than the others.

It is just confirmation bias. It happened to be a not that good episode and people are putting that on the writer just because they were talking about that before it aired.

Nah, Cocona's repression is outward. She has innocence inside of her she's afraid to let others see because there's a risk that others would reject her.

Yayaka's repression is inward. She sees herself as not worthy of love or even friendship, hence why she gave up Cocona to Papika so easily. She is in constant emotional pain. Like an injured alley cat she limps on, pretending that everything's alright.

Gonna breed the Papika.

Yayaka would probably be super easy when drunk and end up going home with some random guy, only to get sobby and remorseful later and end up blueballing him while she blubbers out all of her pent up insecurities.

She's one of those girls who acts slutty because she knows her way around seduction, but always chickens out before doing the deed because she's still a little girl deep down.

It's not even that terrible an episode, taken in its parts. It's just not as OMG BRILLIANT as the others have been.

Episode 4 was mostly praised for doing the most character development of any episode so far in the series and really establishing the Papika/Cocona relationship.
