Anime is pretty niche in Japan outside of Saturday morning shows like Doraemon and some notable exceptions like Evangelion or Miyazaki films. Most TV anime is glorified advertisement for the source Manga or, especially lately, LN. This stuff isn't made to create art, it's made to sell.
