If there's one thing you can say about Sup Forums compared to the past, it's that it's MUCH slower now than in 2009, 2010, etc.
I don't know if that's a good thing or not...
Sup Forums has literally sucked this website dry. During the last three weeks of the election, Sup Forums was actually moving FASTER than Sup Forums 24/7. If you had told me years ago that a board would surpass Sup Forums's post speed, I would have thought you were crazy.

I do remember that Sup Forums reached a speed sometime in 2012 where it was going 500,000 posts per day, so Sup Forums is definitely slower than it once was.

We peaked on the years where all that shit was going down on Sup Forums, Sup Forums and Sup Forums. I think that was 2014? I don't even remember now. It was a really shitty year.
We've been slowing down since then, but it's less of a decline and more of a return to traditional traffic levels after the huge spike caused by those events

05, I lurked multiple boards. Sup Forums wasn't my main board until around 12. Then all the boards I liked were dead and this is the last one left and I don't go anywhere else anymore.

Anime wise it was ok but lurk more culture becoming more and more dead is sad to see. Also the amount of tumblr gifs, mobileposters, and frogposters is insane.

I have been here since 2008. I've enjoyed every minute of it. I've come to understand that what truly makes Sup Forums so great, it's that all of us anons here have spent so much time watching and discussing an interesting medium. Here's to another 150000000!
I have fond memories of Geass sundays. I still remember the episode they tested a FLEYA in Texas and we had a couple threads about Kallen Does Dallas.
2011 was a comfy year too. A lot of popular shows so the whole board felt really alive at all hours.

If you want a fast board go to Sup Forums or something. Sup Forums is alive until the airing show threads stop getting 100 or so unique IPs, which has been the average for years now.
All the speed that led to the peek of 2014 is something that comes from people who bring nothing good.

Any major get on any board is going to draw people from all over the site.
