Nets have kevlar , chain, the trawlers have huge steel doors for sweeping the sea floor.
They would stop the prop on a sub like that instantly.Or snag a dive plane/ con tower.
But the trawler or hauler would also know they snagged a uboat .
That area is so busy, I would think it almost impossible to not get snagged by a fishing boat.
That would be the last place I'd take an 1983 sub.
