They got old and brown...
But that's recent though
Brit 80s and 90s music was out of this world. Still can't believe it when I hear some of it. Did everyone with taste die or something?
This is what I'm wondering
Sounds like rock for men getting sodomized. Gay voice, cheap riffs, lame drums, did it have harmony at all?
American influence destroyed what uniqueness we had
Top video
nice lol
It seemed like we based our stuff after you.
the trips don't lie. sounds like standard faggot American 'rock'.

kys my lad
same thing that happened in the USA
labels dont like rock bands anymore because paying for studio musicians and actual artists is seen as an unnecessary expense. especially when there is a seemingly endless supply of talentless kids with laptops creating cheap autechre knockoffs. combine that with any one of the drug addicted niggers eager to mumble into a mic and bingo, you've got yourself a hit. you really dont have to pay these people at all, just enough for the niggers so they can borrow their way into an extravagant lifestyle. producers dont expect anything anyways. the same applies for people who just sing shit other people wrote for them. there are a million Adele's out there and they are very easy to succeed with.
how they brainwashed people into liking this shit is beyond me. doesn't make any sense. its all so bad.
the British did hold on longer than the USA though. Arctic Monkeys and Bloc Party aren't anything near as good as Pulp or the Charlatans, but at least they were ok.
I dont like the UK really and dont really suggest travelling there. But there is something fun about renting a two seater and carving B-roads blasting 'If You Tolerate this then your children will be next".
I've loved Zeppelin my whole life and constantly forget that they weren't an American band.
Were the stone roses big over there?
Never heard this until now and they should've been. How do you goys feel about Oasis?
youtube.com
no, but they're fairly well know now.
Blur's still making music baby
This is Oasis in the pic but good to know about Blur.
Massive obviously but the brothers personalities ended up overwhelming the music. This is a good track with Liam on vocals by Death in Vegas
Another roses track

Rock music is literally for faggots
the only British rock bands of the 90's that got really big in the USA were Radiohead, Oasis and Coldplay. even bands like Blur or the Verve, massively talented and huge in the UK, never achieved massive commercial success. people might know a few songs but they wont be able to attribute them to the band.
chances are young people, born after 98 or so, probably know Wonderwall and that's about it. most of it never makes it to the airwaves anymore.
Oasis deserved their success. Definitely Maybe and What's the Story... are both among the best records of the decade.
they got old and started sucking. happens to everyone except Michael Gira
I'm still friends with the odd musician from myspace and they never post anything new. By other bands I mean.
I have a 14yr old daughter, she never mentions anyone either, picks my brains about the old days though.
Xfactor wankery & niggers have killed music like other user said.
This band was the last i thought had potential, 5 fuckin years ago. I don't care though since youtube has every song I can remember just a click away.
The club scene is ticking along nicely, just no Oasis tier these days.

Explain please.
well the Beatles
I was speaking striclty about the 90's. I dont think Queen or the Beatles will be forgotten in the USA any time soon.
Do you like this one?youtube.com
can you musically invade us again?
I've been going back and listening to the classics
how this didn't achieve superhit status in the USA I do not know
Hawkwind liked their LSD but Lemmy & his mates we're all about the Amphetamines.
Get that fookin Motorhead outta here!
The rest is history.

i wish it wasn't true. we will never get good music again.
the 3rd most valuable import from brits was good music. now its funny rape stories i share with my friends
It's cheaper and more profitable for (((Goldberg studios))) to support a few shitty rap/hip hip artists who won't need much investment to develop their talent and style than to scout for the next Rock stars.
I was pretty strictly hair metal in my youth, so I've still got years of goodies to go at.
I reckon youtube has had a paralysing effect though. You have to trawl or search.
The music streaming sites are riddled with utter shite.
Myspace was/could have been the best thing to happen to music ever, I was fucking drowning in genius 24/7 til that cunt Murdoch killed it.
The shins

Led Zeppelin GOAT

how were these guys received in the UK?
Oh well...the Foo Fighters were good and Pearl Jam....we have that.
I guess you can push any big hit and whoever to be super star if you ban the internet and limit global tv and radio to 5 channels
...
we don't want to talk with actual fags. stop promoting degeneracy.
SMACKHEAD SHAGGING ARR KATE MOSS in every paper for a few months.
I think they did well with the media, adverts & background music on the soaps etc. Much more famous for the singer getting wankered though.
Multiculturalism happened
American rock music was good in the 90's and early 2000's too. It just sucks all over the world now. The genre has been overplayed, no more room for innovation.
I feel like this would be cool to listen to live but thats it.
When the Jews started funding poetic niggers instead.
Synth wave went out of style and pop and rap went in. The brits don't seem to understand mindless music so, what can they do?
Australia has taken the torch of good rock music.
youtube.com
they just might be the biggest twats living in britain, i think black sabbath are the GOAT 2bh
There's still some good shit, but it's very rare.
Gaslight Anthem is pretty good.
the 70s desu, like very few good songs crossed the pond after the 70s. Oasis is the rare exception and it is literally because Liam's brother who was an early 90's pol/lack was asked to join and came up with all the hit music
