So who's really got the power Sup Forums? The legislative, judicial, or executive branch. Lets look at the facts
Legislative Branch >Pass any law it wants and until the supreme court strikes it down that law is in effect. Can impeach Supreme Court judges and Presidents. Creates the laws, declares war, manages budgets, and technically the President is suppose to be an order follower from Congress rather than a leader according to many constitutionalists
Judicial Branch >Can interpret the laws however they want. Have interpreted the first amendment in the past as being "the state can throw you in jail for anything, they just can't prevent you from speaking". Supreme court judges have suggested the second amendment does not protect firearms, and have allowed the "reasonable limits" clause to apply. Supreme Court is technically "higher than President". Could theoretically pardon anyone. Can also block executive orders
Executive >Commands the military, can suggest laws directly to Congress, can threaten detainment of anyone, can pardon anyone, can sign or veto any law from Congress but then of course it can go back in through and be passed again. Although executive orders can be blocked by the court when they tried that with Lincoln he issued an arrest Warrant (which the President can do) to arrest the judge, and then he re-wrote the executive order.
Thats what andrew jackson was for too bad he was killed before he could stop (((their))) plague.

Judicial for sure. >passed a law Nah that's unconstitutional >executive order Nah that's unconstitutional >Guns having bump stocks Nah that's unconstitutional >2nd amendment Nah that's not what the founding fathers meant
Anti-federalists called this before the fucking thing was ever ratified.

And you've proven my point thanks user
Brandon Gutierrez
The one that controls the USMC.
Charles Ramirez
Thing is they don't have direct power over people. They couldn't have any random person jailed or anything like that

In theory the legislative branch would be the most powerful due to its ability to pass laws without the president’s signature with enough votes and because it can modify the constitution with enough votes, meaning it writes the laws by which the judicial branch makes rulings.
In practice though, the legislative branch is the weakest because it’s incoherent and cannot pass much legislation.
Right now, the executive branch is the most powerful, closely followed by the judicial.

They are equal. That's the point.

This thread was answered by the opposition before the constitution was fucking ratified, who flat out said >HEY FUCKERS, THE PROBLEM WITH ENGLAND IS THESE FUCKING JUDGES WHO GET APPOINTED AND THEN THERE'S NOTHING ABOVE THEM, AND YOU'RE DOING THAT AGAIN. AND IT'S ACTUALLY FUCKING WORSE BECAUSE THERE'S NO KING. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO PUNISH THEM WHEN THE FUCK UP AND GOOD FUCKING LUCK GETTING RID OF THEM. >DEAR GOD, YOU ARE GIVING THEM THE FUCKING RIGHT TO INTERPRET THE MEANING AND INTENT OF THE CONSTITUTION ITSELF, AND THERE IS NO RECOURSE OR WAY TO UNDO IT, ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE? >THE JUDICIARY WILL BE ABLE TO MOULD THE GOVERNMENT HOWEVER THE FUCK IT WANTS WITH ZERO RECOURSE WHEN THEY ARE RULING ON SOMETHING WITHOUT PRECEDENT!!!! >THE COSTS OF THE COURTS ARE EXPONENTIAL. GOING TO THE SUPREME COURT, THE COSTS FOR A NORMAL PERSON WOULD BE INSANE, SO THEY GET ZERO FUCKING JUSTICE EVER.
there ya go, summed the fuck up 229 years ago.

You seem to have left out the lesser known branch of hysterical public outrage, i.e. mob rule. Hillary's butthurted mob.
Ryder Baker
Very this.
The 3 branches only even affect one aspect of governance anyway. To govern is to secure and distribute a resource that people need. Our three branches only focus on the local security/auditor aspect.
>Branch 1: The Treasurer/Tax Man Whether that be a treasurer for fiat money (FedRes), faith (pope, shaman) or a resource (OPEC/a treasury)
>Branch 2: The General/Strong Man This branch protects the resource from foreign/external threats, claims, and force. Military, police, and groups of this nature.
>Branch 3: The Auditor/IRS This Branch ensures that internal threats are mitigated or removed. IRS, NSA (for "info" resource.
Every government/power structure throughout history can be put into this framework. We need to make a constitution that governs all these aspects, imho tbqhfamalagram.

everyone but me gotta learn the people VOTE so mobs only have power in vote size
IRS is tax.

It completely misses that the executive is also responsible for the military, national security and foreign policy. Not small matters.

Executive can achieve tyranny in the shortest period of time, and in theory is necessary for the highest levels of tyranny.
Legislative and judicial are necessary for legitimizing such tyranny though.
