That's a poorly drawn Bateman.

Is やばい just a way of saying 'shit', or 'fuck' in this kind of situation?

How do academic words work in Japanese? For example in english you use a mixture of Greek/Latin.

How would you say things like enthapy, topology, dimethyl ether, name organisms, etc

look even stupid fucking retards know japanese its not that hard

The TV broadcast I saw literally said にげて in big letters, but I guess DQNs will DQN.

you know you could google this shit instead of having someone else do it for you

How fucked are they?

I'm glad I'll live to see the USA getting nuked to oblivion.

They're right. Remember Pearl Harbor you fucking gooks.

I haven't read anything in like a year, haven't watched more than 20 anime episodes in the last 3 months, and haven't opened my JLPT prep book and i'll still get a better score than you on N5

A little closer to "Shit, this is not good!" I think.

They got the luxury having nothing but japanese. They had no choice.

I would go with crap. As in, "oh crap". Mostly because you can say yabai on day time children tv the same way he is.

That's rather clever and really obscure.

>今日が、いちばん何も出来ない日
From Yotsuba, right- いつでも今日が一番楽しい日? Never change, DJT. It's at least refreshing to see a bit of character injected into the opening post. Every other time I come here it's always the same thing with pic related and you'd think a bot was pumping out the threads day in day out.
The op image is nice. A shame Barasui is on a never ending hiatus. The character design shift in the last volume worth of chapters was moving too far away from earlier designs for my liking.

>That's rather clever and really obscure.
It's just the number 1746 in hex.

You are a sad man.

shh let him be intellectual for once

ill post some banging threads again when you least expect it

you realize that we can see which posts come from new ips, right

hi djt long time lurker first time poster here id like to just ask a quick q about は and が

whats the difference??

i think new kanji/compounds are created for specific disciplines e.g chemistry, mathematics

>It's just the number 1746 in hex.
Oh, had no idea. Today I learned something unrelated to Japanese.

Small things amuse small minds, what can I say?

Groovy.

>you realize that we can see which posts come from new ips, right
Yeah -did I miss something? My first post was and I didn't really pay any attention to the op till after I posted then started reading through the thread.

At this point I just pity you. Do you talk about djt with your therapist?

personally i talk about djt with my girlfriend and we get on here and laugh sometimes at various posts while also posting and "dabbing"

same except i don't have a gf

Serious question to people who spam "Read" as their advice. Other than possibly ease of look up (text hooker/rikai) what advantage do you think reading has over just watching anime with japanese subtitles?

Does someone have Kaguya saying how cute in japanese?

instead of learning how to talk like a anime you learn how to write like 1 instead

No but now i have her saying that in french

stop posting this

books usually have a much higher density of information that's conveyed through language, so you learn more language by reading them
that's not to say anime is a bad way to get practice in though
books obviously don't do you as much good in the listening department
also english subbed cartoons are the sole way I absorbed any grammar for the first five months of learning the language before I opened an LN

yrsk

The main one is the pace at which you go. With anime you have to go at a set speed, which is likely to be far too quick for a beginner. With reading, you get to go at a pace suited perfectly for you, so you can make sure you have enough time to properly appreciate and understand the sentence, and not waste time when you're ready to move on.

And, although this is just my personal opinion, quality moe VNs tend to be better written than easy SoL anime.

Is Tae Kim Japanese?

no hes best corea

>The main one is the pace at which you go.
Yeah I can see how that would be a prob...

>With anime you have to go at a set speed, which is likely to be far too quick for a beginner.

What? This is the exact opposite of what I would think. You can always pause anime or drama. But at some point the density of sentences drops to quite a bit below what you could go through by reading for the same amount of time, just due to all the time between sentences,

>And, although this is just my personal opinion, quality moe VNs tend to be better written than easy SoL anime.
I definitely completely disagree here. Sol anime tend to be about comedy, and many are quite funny. I almost never find moege funny. The VNs that have done best to make me laugh are leaving the moege territory (Grisaia, Oretsuba) or are absolutely 100% not moege. Dies Irae and Muramasa were funnier than any moege I've tried when they actually had scenes focused on humor.

is hentai and doujins the only safe translation industry left?

>practically immune to machine translation
>neurotypicals won't touch loli/guro/etc shit
>degenerates will pay to large sums for their degenerate fetishes to be translated

>the guy who was responsible for translating FF9,10,10-2,12, tactics and vagrant story is now stuck translating shitty mobile games

RIP

>What? This is the exact opposite of what I would think. You can always pause anime or drama. But at some point the density of sentences drops to quite a bit below what you could go through by reading for the same amount of time, just due to all the time between sentences,
Well, if you're at this level you're really not a beginner anymore, right? So yes, reading is superior to anime for intermediates as well.

And moege, while they have comedy and it should be funny, unlike SoL comedy anime it generally isn't the primary focus. The primary focus is on developing loving and heart-warming relationships. I don't know what moege you've read, obviously there's a lot of trash out there, but the best ones are really good.

With that said, a better writer will be more enjoyable than a worse writer, so yes Dies Irae's going to have more enjoyable writing than Twinkle Crusaders. But if you're at that level, you should really completely ignore study altogether and just read and watch whatever you want, like I do.

>do reps on phone for once
>Kanji look different because of different font
>Higher fail rate than usual
Is this why you learn how write them/learn radicals?

Kind of off topic, but anyone know what the quality of all those e book version of doujin that were just put up on toranana is like? Are they decent or really small.

OK?correct this sentence.

ジャンルは

Depending on context it's probably が instead of は in the first sentence, probably better with きと instead of もの, and also there's mismatching politeness (砕け in first sentence and ですます in last).

Sorry. I wanted you to correct my English.

So is DJT correcting natives' Japanese now?

Anyway, your sentence seems fine, just keep "stuff" singular, because it already implies a pile of things.

>correcting natives' Japanese
Natives?

Thanks.

>So is DJT correcting natives' Japanese now?
Yes:) So my Japanese sentence is always perfect form, but my English is garbage.

"some stuff" is plural already. You don't need to put an s on the end. "stuffs" is not a word at all.

>日本人

`posted some stuff`
No s because Posted: (-ed) because it's past tense. If you wanted future tense, `will post` is what you are looking for.

I understand. Thanks.

I'm Coming to japanese with a little bit of mandarin, "個" is the default counter for objects, and is heavily used.
For what quantites/when is 個 used in japanese? I don't notice it used nearly as much as in chinese

I don't know the answer, but what can you tell about Mandarin counters, is it also all over the place like Japango?
