>all the recent "Christian hate threads"

hahahaha why are the enemies of Christ so pathetic?
Also praised be the Almighty
A reminder that Catholicism is a mixture of Christianity and paganism. Non-denominational Christianity allows you to study other Christian sects, and a non-denominational church will usually teach things Christians unanimously agree upon, whilst being open to other interpretation (depends on the congregation). Catholicism has a lot of questionable things, and so do the holidays that they celebrate, which are considered "Christian." Halloween, Christmas, etc. are not Christian.
Do not fall for the Catholic meme, and strive for studying the bible in its original languages (Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic, etc.).
>Trying to start sect wars
Stop
>not addressing any of my statements
I am okay with Catholicism existing in countries where it was always the majority, or substantially influenced the culture, although once again, it has a lot of obvious pagan influences. If you can elaborate on how gargoyles on cathedrals are related to Christianity, or can explain how the celebration of the winter solstice and what parallels yule is "Christian," along with explaining why scaring spirits away with monsters (Halloween) is Christian, with many people worshipping saints (this is noticeable in many non-white Catholic countries) is Christian, then I'll try to consider catholicism as being purely Christian.
I'm not addressing any of your statements deliberately because that would be an invitation for you to start debating on the merits of different sects of Christianity. Which I'm telling you to stop doing because it's pointless and damages all of us when we have a far more important common enemy to fight. How about we actually stop the west going to shit and being invaded by Islam BEFORE we start the dick measuring contest between Catholics and Proddies? Ok?
battle of vienna right?
Yes
>Trying to start sect wars
Yeah, becouse that's something that never fucking happened. It's not like christians were murdering each other since the very beggining.

Include this one
>winter solstice
doesn't exist here
>halloween
I'm sure that holiday tradition is from Protestant America. Here we observe All Saints and Souls day.
>Worshiping saints
Veneration
Dulia (saints)
Hyperdulia (Mary)
Latria (this is where you get the word Idolatry)
>I'm sure that holiday tradition is from Protestant America. Here we observe All Saints and Souls day.
You already lost credibility. Research the origins of Halloween, and see which religion made it a norm.
>ignoring minority catholics who worship saints as if they were gods
>common enemy to fight
Infiltrators in Christianity that make the religion adopt non-Christian views? Last time I checked, Catholics in the US would consider anything conservative as a "common enemy," recall that they are more liberal than other Christian/American sects.
>. How about we actually stop the west going to shit and being invaded by Islam BEFORE we start the dick measuring contest between Catholics and Proddies? Ok?
Why not do both getting rid of paganism in catholicism, and getting rid of mudslimes? Secularism is also responsible for western civilization declining, it isn't just Islam.
Ah, you meant the origins. I thought the whole getup thing where you dress up. It is called hallow's eve for saints and souls.
byzantine chant is literally and not figuratively better than gregorian chant
Why do you just blindly follow someone else's faith?
>Secularism is also responsible for western civilization declining
Correct. So your autistic screeching about how your particular brand of Presbylutheranism is the correct one is counterproductive. The differences between Christian sects are relatively minor (save cults like Jehovahs Witness and Mormons) so let's just focus on preserving the Christian heritage of the west first before sabotaging our efforts with bullshit about how Lutherans/Catholics/Orthodox/Other are terrible and not real Christians.
there are orthodox chants in the channel, there is a specific playlist for that aswell
most of them are russian, because of, well, orthodox
also i just noticed the links do not take you to the playlist i wanted to share

Halloween is not celebrated by Catholicism.
I have some questions for legitimate christians, that seems like the thread for it, please do not apply if you like the religion for any reason but don't actually believe in God. Same goes for believing any sort of out-of-universe God.
1) Do you believe Bible is the literal truth, the metaphorical description of the truth or some mix of the two? If it's the latter how do you define for yourself which is metaphorical and which is literal? Follow up — suppose you've learned of a new passage in the Bible (that you read before but didn't pay enough attention to) that contradicts some understanding you have, would you accept that or figure it's an interpretation issue and therefore not objective?
2) What do you think made the specific time period of about 2k years ago unique in terms of writing the word of the only eternal God down? Is there any specific reason it happened then and not before/after?
3) Do you feel like your church has the right to represent (or interpret) the God's will in a more profound way than other churches, more importantly what do you think gives it that right?
4) How significant is God's involvement in day-to-day affairs of the humans, in your opinion? Do you imagine everything is determined by God in a plan like way, or is God more like an observer who can intervene if he wants.
5) Would you say it's possible for God to have on opinion on a certain matter (in a sense, say, believing something that isn't objective but subjective)?
Appreciate all serious answers.
1
I believe that the son of god came to earth 2000 years ago. He had followers who wrote his chronicle and consolidated his teachings as the rites and traditions for his to-be holy church. There is going to be some 'chinese whispers' over 2000 years. Especially in translation from hebrew and greek to english and latin. It is hard to act so thoroughly alike to all the bibles teachings, because times and peoples expectations change, especially over two millennia. However, for matters of law. I.e. the old ways saw daughters being traded as a fathers property for wedlock as the normal way of doing things. I don't feel that way, because I fell all people have free agency. If i figured out the interpretation of something to be different after reading it again, or reading it for the first time in the bible, I would consider it perhaps not objective truth, but abstracted law and instruction. As all laws we create are abstract to a certain degree. I also strongly believe that the greatest divine right that god weilds is authority. Authority channeled through his divine church. And his authority is made whole by the conscious and free will of its people.

It doesnt feel directly clear. If I had to guess a reason, it was to fortify his people (semetic jews) against the looming Roman Empire by revising his truths and wants and needs from us.
But cause and effect. It Jesus's birth happened when it happened. Any postulation is speculation
3
Thats a tough one. Jesus came to earth and gave us instructions, and died for our sins. But he told us to make our church, and god gives us free will and guilt for our transgressions. I think that the church is gods authority, and though things may divert and look dire, god will save us and absolve us of sin for any wrongdoing and manipulation on a persons part in the political tangle that most churches have become.
I am Catholic. And It suits my ideals. Because authority is the true driving force of god.
4
The church and people all screech over and over that "all things done are gods plan." But thats bullshit imo. I bring it up in every answer, but people are given free will. God is an observer and CAN change things. But it feels a little gameish. He watches all creation, and steers us to the right path when he can. But its up to us to make change in the world. And sitting passively in life and toting that 'gods plan' will manifest itself and you have no control, is garbage. Sloth is sin.
5
Im not sure I get this question. If God is all knowing, and the all powerful creator and manipulator of all of existence. Then whatever he wants will be. If god told me something, and said it was truth. Then its truth. That is the god that I believe in.
raped a baby
Good questions, hohol-bro.
1. The Bible is 100 metaphorical. It's a philosophical concept, anyone who takes it literally or tries to find rational explanations for events described in it, is a retard.
2. There was a need for a religion with a philosophical core. Paganism doesn't offer it. It doesn't give you any food for thought, it's just mindless worship of empty gods.
3. All churches are corrupt and don't represent Christ correctly
4. God is not real. Or maybe he is, but if he is real he exists outside of any religion. Biblical God is the manifestation of the LAW. The law is the condensed wisdom of countless generations of people, who by trial and error figured out what is good and what is wrong.

Sovereign christianity reporting in. Even if it's cucked these days.
How many of you are struggling with racism right now?
The more I learn about blacks, the more I hate them. They are created by Satan. I can't stand them. I honestly want them to be wiped off the face of the Earth. Along with all the coalburners who cursed their ancestors by mixing with them.
How do I reconcile this with the gospel of peace?
Inb4 >baptize all nations
1) God said don't give what is holy to dogs.
2) Blacks are dogs.
3) I would have no problem sleeping at night if I was put in charge of culling blacks. I'd shoot every single niglet in the face.
4) Even God's best friend who was the meekest guy in the whole world had no problem killing people for God.
The idea of blacks being in heaven is repulsive to me and I don't like being puffed up in such a way having those thoughts. Will there be a racewar? Anyone else preparing for it? I'm hoping I get to genocide them all in a racewar before Lord Jesus returns. All those mamzer dogs that are shoved in my face 24/7 on TV and media with their smug shit-eating grins.
>lol i'm not white; the haircut
>dude i'm cursed, look at my hair LMAO
Cool questions, I'll bite!
1. Mix of the two. I've not done as much research behind the Bible verses as I'd like, so I kinda play by ear. Some things, especially in the psalms, are obvious metaphors/literary devices and I take them as such. Interestingly over the years I've gone from viewing Genesis 1-11 as a literal history, to being allegorical/metaphorical. I've also gone from believing the "body and blood" part of Communion is metaphorical, to quasi-literal. The former was the result of a struggle with my faith. The latter was the result of reading stuff written by early Christian leaders and seeing they, in fact, took it quasi-literally as well. So my interpretations aren't totally set in stone.
1-follow up: Not sure I get what you're asking. If I see a verse that contradicts what I currently believe, there's a good chance I'm gonna do some research and see if I can either reconcile it with what I do believe, or if I have to consider the possibility that what I currently believe is wrong.
2. Actually the oldest parts of the Bible are dated from around 1500 BC and the youngest book of the Old Testament, I wanna say Malachi, is circa 400 BC. Perhaps a related question would be, why didn't Jesus come until 2000 years ago? I think the best answer I can give is, Roman infrastructure and political events allowed for rapid transmission of the Gospel.
3. To represent God's will? No. Now if we're talking doctrine, I think conservative Lutheran churches interpret it closer to the proper truth than any other branches I know of.
4. I've gone back and forth on this one. Nothing happens without God's permission, but whether or not he planned out everything that happens to the microsecond or just allows things to unfold, adding his influence to events at key points, I don't know.
5. God's stances (opinions, call them what you will) are objective. This is because God is our objective, original source of truth and morality. He defines right/wrong/true/false.
Thank you for the answers.
Another question:
What is your personal view on the scale of space? For instance is first part of this video [mostly] accurate?
youtu.be
How do you think God interacts with the stuff outside of the Earth?
...
...
You need to interface with blacks outside of (((television))) and other (((media))). I used to go to a parish with a large African population. We had a Jesuit priest from Congo that was absolutely based. Pious, learned homilies, pastoral... he went back to the Congo to preach. Putting his life on the line to save souls. Long story short, meet some true catholic Africans and your heart might soften
I don't need to interface with blacks. I don't need them to exist. I don't need them in my life. I don't need to know about them. I don't need to see them on TV.
They don't make my life better, they only make it worse, in every way.
Imagine posting this living in the UK

I think its cool. And awe inspiring.
As for God outside of earth. Ive thought about it. But can't really decide. God's domain is us, so our physical place is unimportant. But there are some very earth specific points in the Bible.

New German Catholic stuff from Sadiq or Eisregen should be mentioned.
I really wish it, I pray for it.
Today I went to mass and the visiting priest talked about climate change and racism but not abortion.
I know others in my congregation are uncucked and we continue to show up every Sunday hoping that one day things will be as they should.
Ive been feeling a deep pull towards Catholicism lately. Hit me with some really good catholic apologetics and sources.

I'm not huge into apologetics, but I can recommend one: Bishop Robert Barron. He might be pro-Vatican 2 and Francis nowadays, but his older videos are hands down some of the best apologetics on youtube:

Is exactly because Jesus was for all humanity and not only for the Jews that (((they))) killed Him, and since that moment, every nation in the entire globe see Jews as a negative influence to any country they appear in. And with good reason, every Catholic / Christian nation up until Vatican II and some decades before, had prohibition or persecution of Jews.
You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.
For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.
