Salaries in Poland are, in vast majority of cases, monthly. The guy's saying that he earns 2500-3500 PLN, it's around the national average, but he also lives in a rather small city. He'd get significantly more in a place like Warsaw or Cracov, but obviously, he'd have to pay more for rent. This kind of money can get you a regular polish life: bachelor apartment if you're single, 2-3 room flat of you share expenses with someone else. Used car, bills paid, internet, restaurant or bar 1-2 times a week
