CANDIDATES
Sebastian Piñera (center-right), former president & clear favorite
Alejandro Guillier (left)
Beatriz Sánchez (left progre), feminist candidate
Jose Antonio Kast (right, independent), /ourguy/
Carolina Goic (center-left)
Marco Enririquez Ominami (left progre)
Alejandro Navarro (left)
Eduardo Artés (left), commie pro

To win the election, a candidate needs 51% of the votes. If not then the two with most votes go to a second round.

Go and vote or we get one of this two assholes.

Sebastián Piñera (Chile Vamos/Let's Go Chile) (Center-right)
Former President Sebastián Piñera, Bachelet's predecessor, is the favorite according to the polls.
The oldest candidate with 67 years, Piñera - the third richest person in Chile, according to Forbes magazine - has promised to separate business from politics and has been the most vocal critic of the corruption scandals that shook the current government.
However, his opponents point out that the candidate was also splashed by the so-called Penta and SQM cases, among others, and accused him of defending his ex-ministers charged in these cases.
For this second presidential term Piñera promises to improve citizen security, health, education, transportation and "improve the quality of life."
The motto of his campaign is: "Better times".

Alejandro Guillier (Nueva Mayoría/New Majority) (Left)
Guillier, 64, is a sociologist, journalist and television presenter, he entered politics only four years ago, as an independent senator from Antofagasta, after three decades of successful career in the Chilean media.
The polls show him as the second favorite, behind Piñera, and has the support of many Chileans disenchanted with traditional politicians.
However, Guillier also generates mistrust, even within New Majority, where many would have preferred to have as a candidate some historical member of the center-left.
The candidate was also criticized for calling not to vote in the primaries, in which the ruling party did not participate.
If winner proposes to reform health, the private pension system and deepen the educational reform initiated by Bachelet.
His campaign motto is: "The people's president!"

José Antonio Kast (Independent) (Right)
The son of German immigrants, Kast, 51, is a deputy and was secretary-general of the Independent Democratic Union (UDI), a right-wing party that he resigned in 2016, after 20 years of militancy.
Lawyer by profession, he appears to these elections as an independent candidate.
He has a long career in the Lower House of Congress, where he has been a legislator since 2002.
A fervent Catholic, father of nine children, he is considered the candidate of the "hard right" and defends "Christian values": he opposes abortion and homosexual marriage and vindicates Pinochetism.
In his campaign program he promises to "rebuild the country", rebuilding confidence in institutions and politics.
His motto is: "To believe again".

Carolina Goic (Partido Demócrata Cristiano/Christian Democratic Party) (Center-Left)
Goic, 44, is the other candidate of the ruling party.
The senator is president of the Christian Democratic Party - also known as Christian Democracy (DC) - which is part of the ruling coalition. The historic party is the one that has the greater representation in Congress and the largest number of mayors of Nueva Mayoría.
Goic has been a legislator since 2005 and was trained as a social worker and economist.
The candidate has presented herself as a different alternative to the center-left, but her critics maintain that her party endorsed the decisions of the current government.
The motto of her campaign is: I dare!

I voted for Kast, and I convinced my parents to vote for him too, as well as my dad's side of the family.

Mom's side of the family voted for Beatriz. They're incurable commies desu. Still, I'm glad to have done my part.

the christian-democrats are getting btfo

are we happy?

>all those leftie faggots

Beatriz Sánchez (Frente Amplio/Broad Front) (Progressive Left)
Sánchez, like Guillier, is also a journalist and is one of two women who aspire to replace Bachelet.
Represents a left-wing coalition officially launched in January 2017 with the support of former student leaders, which intends to renew and overcome the historic dichotomy between the two main political forces in the country.
She won her primaries in July by a large majority.
"La Bea" - as she refers to herself - declares herself a feminist and in 2014 she wrote the book "Poderosas" about eight Chilean women in positions of power, among them Bachelet.
The candidate -third according to the polls- proposes to modernize and decentralize the State, nationalize companies and improve education and human rights.
His adversaries question her lack of political experience.
The motto of her campaign is: "The power of many."

Marco Enríquez-Ominami (Partido Progresista/Progressive Party) (Progressive Left)
"MEO", as many people call him, jumped into the big leagues of politics in 2009 when he resigned from the Socialist Party - which he represented as a deputy - to present himself as an independent presidential candidate. He came third.
A year later he founded the Progressive Party, with which he returned as candidate to presidency in 2013, again obtaining the third place.
Son of the murdered founder of the Movimiento de Izquierda Revolucionaria (MIR), Miguel Enríquez, the candidate is also a renowned television director and radio host.
With 44 years of age, he has always sought to position himself as an alternative to the historic Chilean bipartisanship, with proposals that include reforming the pension system, giving more rights to minorities and calling for a plebiscite to change the Constitution.
The motto of his campaign is: "Chile of the free!"

Not yet. Beatriz is getting a lot of support from the overseas diaspora and a lot of locals. I've no idea how that cunt got so much support.

Alejandro Navarro (País Party) (Left)
Navarro, 58, is a senator from the left.
He was a member for 26 years of the Socialist Party (PS) which he represented as deputy (1994-2006) and then as a Senator, until he resigned from the PS to form in 2009 the Movimiento Amplio Social/Broad Social Movement (MAS), the first left party registered in Chile since the overthrow of Salvador Allende in 1973.
As representative of the MAS -part of New Majority- he was reelected in office until 2022. However, he resigned that force in 2016 after being censored for posting on Twitter a list of the reserved contributions received by some parliamentarians.
He founded a new left party, País, which he represents in these elections.
In his campaign program he proposes "profound and revolutionary changes" for Chile.
His motto is: "The strength of the people".

Eduardo Artés (Unión Patriótica/Patriotic Union) (Communist)
He is the most unknown of the aspirants to La Moneda. Artés is the candidate of the "ultra left".
He is general secretary of the Chilean Communist Party Proletarian Action (PC (AP)), a Marxist-Leninist group that he represented as a presidential candidate in 2009.
The PC (AP) is critical of the "revisionism" adopted by the traditional left. However, at present, this force is not legally registered as a political party.
Artés is nominated by the Patriotic Union (UPA), which he founded in 2015 and which proposes to defend "national interests over the interests of transnational companies or foreign powers."
65 years old Teacher and sympathizer of the Venezuelan Nicolás Maduro and the North Korean regime, managed to gather 34,000 signatures to register as a candidate.
The motto of his campaign is: "Social Justice and National Dignity".

Seriously I would have voted Kast if he wasn't living in the last century.
Ended up voting Sanchez due to better renewable energy projects. Piñera would cut the last tree on the planet if it meant profit for him.

Of course the feminist candidate looks like a per-pubescent boy.

>Featriz will win

>The son of German immigrants
German immigrants in South America, you say? Confirmed /ourguy/

>voted for a socialist feminist
>I would've voted Kast if he wasn't living in the last century
Jesus christ you fucking traitor. Lefties like you deserve to die.

>legalizing euthanasia

That's because you are ignoring this.

Wait he's fucking 44? Jesus, I found it odd that he had gone gray so suddenly but at that age?

No surprise if said diaspora lives in (((progressive))) countries

Dude fuck you, there is no such thing as "living in the last century." Policy and history isn't a straight line of "progress." The world isn't worth the dirt you live on when it's ran by a leftist.

Piñera ruined the right, the fucking idiot.

Unfortunately you're right. (((first world countries))) are the new incubators for leftist ideologies.

RESULTS OF CHILEAN VOTING IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES SO FAR

COMBINED NZ, JAPAN, AUSTRALIA, CHINA & SOUTH KOREA

Dude Kast doesn't even know what a condom is. Fuck off

Disgusting degenerate I bet you're the kinda faggot to smoke weed and leave trash everywhere on the sidewalks, drink himself stupid and vandalize bus stops.

Your kind deserves to burn.

Who is the Sup Forums approved candidate?

And the leftist doesn't know proper highschool-level biology, yet you're fine voting for that shit.

go fuck some std ridden bitch

This country is gonna become shit if we don't stop people like you.

B-b-b-b-but muh fucking 2017

We should be free to decide when we want to stop suffering and die? What's so awful about it? Never watched someone you love suffer through an illness until death? Maybe you're too young then.

Dont forget to Kast your vote

The right that couldn't win an election until his "betray everything" policy.

youtube.com/watch?v=PXNjvwetk6c

...

but he is winning, how did he ruin it?
why are voters living in goo territory usually more based than ones voting in cucked western countries?

not the first election where this happens, and not just with chile either

Piñera whores out the country to fill his and his friends' pockets with money. Like Mitt Romney but ten times worse.

In all honesty every candidate has been a fuckup in this country until Kast came along. He's the lesser of all evils.

CURRENT YEAR

It's so funny how you can't even comprehend what I just wrote. Kast and his shitty religious beliefs can fuck themselves and you cucks will watch him fall anyway.

So many lefties in Chile that sucks bro. Hopefully you can get the helicopters revving again

Going out to vote.

Delete this and stab yourself in the jugular weebnigger.

>you can't even comprehend what i just wrote
I can comprehend you're a dirty red who's gonna tied up and thrown off into the middle of the sea.

You're just a dirty commie.

rip chile, half the candidates want to destroy their freedom and make the state control and corrupt and ruin everything

>be medfag
>have to make an oath that I will never EVER make abortions or euthanize someone
>commie fucks want to turn us into filthy oathbreakers

THIS SHALL GO INTO THE BOOK OF GRUDGES

The only cuck I see here is the one voting for a socialist/progressive candidate. Dig your own grave, go ahead, we'll just have to waste money to save you from your "socialist paradise" when it fails anyway. The Christfags aren't the most desirable, but they're certainly a better choice than what happens in the pic related when you elect socialists, feminists, and progressives.

They should have never listened to the DC.

Pinochet eventually killed him tough.

Don't make me play Deresute again.

>save tax payer money for health care/pension for someone who themselves don't wanna live anymore

it's literally a win-win for everyone.

That's how those (((lawyers))) will get you. Force you to euthanize someone or else they'll sue, then once you do it, they'll sue you anyway for breaking the oath. Libshit McCuck doesn't seem to care because ITS FUCKING 2017 and obviously an arbitrary number signifying the passing of time is the only way we should decide on policy.

Of course, so we should follow your fag-hating logic right? kys

BARCELONA (SPAIN)

great job user, do your civic duty!

Frei Montalva was a good man.

This path leads to degeneracy. Besides very little state money goes to paying for their pension, as it's a privately managed thing, not socialized.
That said, AFPs, the private pension managers, which are mandatory, are utter cancer.
They, the old people, pay for themselves.

People won't allow it, a civil war would happen even if you gringos culiaos intervene

he was based on the DC
youtube.com/watch?v=wW_UsiHvMn0

Do you really want this country to end like USA?

reminder that Montalva was killed by the CIA

Catalunya commie confirmed.

To good for his own good apparently.

The coupe was unnecessary he got democracy banned for seventeen years.

disgusting

jesus christ this ugly cunt

no you, you dirty leftist. Get out of here faggot. Soon you'll be strung up by your achilles heels' tendons. Fags and feminists all deserve the ovens.

>This path leads to degeneracy
>le slippery slope

slope to what? helping people that need it?

Bump for notice of your elections, and plus i know there were some chile bros that helped us in the meme war, so let me help you :).

thinking that i care of the that commie enavaler sistem

Are you guys a parliamentary government?

Nah, DINA/Pinocho had him offed.

>le slippery slope
alright you bolshevik son of a bitch, it's been long proven that the slippery slope is real, hence the current state of the world you ugly fuck.

>too good for his own good
Unfortunately.

Thank you burgerbro. Also, you'll be glad to know Kast is pro-gun. If he wins, we may be able to export some high quality stuff over your way if you wanna expand your collection.

Yes, yes you really should. Take it from someone who thought it would be all great to be this super cool progressive country, but then took a 180 once the reality of it hit. Don't make the same mistakes we did by letting these fags run freely on the streets in scant rainbow clothing.
I hope you real Chilenos are able to drown out the Eurofag vote for this progressive piece of shit. Your entire way of life depends on that cunt not getting elected.

where are the results, this shit doesnt work on.mediastre.am/elecciones2017

Another bump.

/ourguy/

nothing's out yet, the votes will close in a couple hours.

Thanks for the support burgerbros.

That's the man.

there you have some preliminar results

chilean polls close in about 2 hours

We wouldn't be like the US even if we really tried, that said, I chose my vote mainly taking into account the impact on the environment and the AFP scandal. I don't consider myself a commie even tho I voted left this time.
Well, I'm not particularly fond of the rainbow fags running on the street man. But then again I'm very against the Pope in Chile too (economically speaking, its outrageous.)
C'est la vie, we can't have it all.

You're welcome. If you need someone to come in and take care of a leftist government, should the worst happen, you know who to call. Don't let losers like destroy your beautiful country.

Someone should do a virgin Kast vs chad Piñera

I hope we don't end with the neoliberal.

You voted to end your country because you hate the Pope. Nice going. You're going to regret your decision. I used to be the same way.

>ancap
no wonder you're for piñera.

>tfw almost every candidate sucks ass and we are fucked

I hate all this INCLUSION shit being spammed on every media and all the progressive shit making its way here

>We wouldn't be like the US even if we really tried
You're underestimating the situation, feminism is gaining more strength with each passing day while colleges are supporting LGBT propaganda, with stuff like pic related being discussed as serious matters, also immigrants are coming in mass and some of them don't even know our language or have the intention to learn it because they're creating their own little "poblaciones" filled with people like them, the first signs of what happened to USA are already here, or at least where I live, if we don't stop this kind of shit now then we're truly gonna end like USA, after all, Chila has always been a USA wannabe.

explain this shit right now

Exiled commies went to live in Russia and Australia, some weebs went to Japan. Chileans in China, southeast Asia, Israel, etc. Are businessmen

Just like America, people who move to another country are typically socially liberal progressive/neo-lib cosmopolitans who don't give a lick about their country's culture and tradition and just want to brag to their cosmopolitan friends about how progressive and inclusive their home country is because chicks with dicks can walk around with them hanging out in the street.

i want to impregnate carolina goic

I agree we should halt all that at once, but we aren't being handed many options either.

The only people who voted for Kast are rural and suburban retards. City people all voted for Beatriz.

I'll just leave this here

youtube.com/watch?v=ZZCdjcRzKPc

>Piñera
>independent
jesuschrist, how pathetic of him

>mfw live in the city and voted for Kast
go away you commie, full of lies and deceit.
Everyone knows only retards and idiots vote for leftists.

>i agree we should halt that all at once
>votes for one of the most leftist candidates
get out.

GO KAST

Those countries are run by commies.

That's the only explanation, besides that this it's the first election when chileans in other countries can vote and no one knows how it's going to affect the election cause we aren't that many people in total.

Pretty good

Reminds me of shrek2

...

updated, western cucks keep cucking

RESULTS OF CHILEAN VOTING IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES SO FAR

PRELIMARY COMBINED 21 COUNTRIES

>Be me
>November 2016
>Voted
>Sitting in class
>Ask colleague who she voted for
>Hillary
>But I thought you didn't like the companies taking advantage of illegal immigrants?
>Y-yeah...
>I thought you said the corruption in DC was the worst it's been since the patronage era?
>Of course it is
>I thought you said you were sick of all the freeloaders taking a large chunk out of your paycheck every week?
>Oh yes, that pisses me off
>I thought you said letting people from violent countries in without proper vetting wasn't the best idea?
>Oh yeah, that's dangerous user!
>Then you said you hated how blacks disrespect our flag and throw a giant fit when someone gets shot in the hood?
>Yeah, that shit is getting old
>Then why the fuck did you vote for Hillary?
>Weed bro
This is why I hate one-issue voters. Does a coalition with the Christian right sound like the most appealing thing in the world?
No.
But it is better than leftism.

>there are chileans in UAE and Jordan

based salims

>it's been long proven that the slippery slope is real
The slippery slope to what, I ask you again.

Not killing those commies was a mistake.

To societal degeneration, economic disaster and over all misery..

Oil?
