As a suicidal person, I think Archer might be the single most tragic character in all of anime. Wanting to die but being forever unable to is a horrible fate. Does he ever find peace?

>have awesome powers
>wants to die
Why

At the very least, he's damn sexy

please stop

this

who on Sup Forums is not a suicidal person?

kill yourself

because hes stuck being a shitty janitor cleaning up all kinds of retarded shit in all kinds of timelines and he has no control of his life to the point where he can't even stop.
his life is shit m8. He wanted to into being a hero and he ended up cleaning the political equivalent of a toilet for the rest of eternity.

FeMC and Gudako are fucking him already though.

>as a suicidal person
Don't let your dreams be dreams OP

>As a suicidal person
lol, neck yourself, kid

you should kill yourself

Kys faggot

>neck yourself
Underage detected, find OP and commit double sudoku pls

>kys
>pls
>retarded spacing
I don't even know what bait is and isn't anymore.

Maybe it's just been a while since I read the VN, but since when does Archer want to die? Isn't the reason why he feels the need to save people partly due to his guilt for surviving while others died and feeling like because he's alive he needs to use his life to make sure that kind of thing doesn't happen again? I understand that he may not want to live as a counter guardian/heroic spirit.

...

>not posting Suzaku.

you have on more reason to suicide

The epilogue, as well as basically every other summoning seen in the series, implies that most of the servants are experiencing their summoning in roughly the same order as the audience sees them, so he got his comfort that it wasn't a mistake.
CCC Archer looks at his F/SN self and basically says "man I really needed to calm the fuck down".
(Some servants are experiencing summons out of order, but for convenience's sake most are in order. Mordred in Grand Order chapter 6 for example is out of order, not knowing any previous summonings.)

You had one job.

Basically he was a superhero in real life, got betrayed and died and went "oh okay yeah i'll be a counter guardian" but then he had to spend eternity going around killing people and never seeing the good in the world.

The reason why Archer wants to kill Shirou in UBW is because he thinks if he kills Shirou, then he will cease existing as well.

I prefer unamused rider

Didn't he commit suicide in life?

No, he was fraudulently blamed for instigating the war that he resolved and was executed by hanging.

>super powers
>live forever
>not learning to enjoy the eternity and bitching about it wishing to die instead

More like a faggot loser to me

He doesn't have time to enjoy anything, he is a walking killing machine and will spend eternity removing any threats to Alaya.

So he moves through parallel worlds? Considering there are infinite parallel worlds in Nasuverse, his job is fucking shit.

As a Counter Guardian he is outside space and time, he is summoned to any univers to clean shit and then sumoned again somewhere else.

Being a Servant is a war where Shirou was spresent was such an impossible thing he went fucking nuts trying to kill himself.

>Does he ever find peace?

no

>as a suicidal person
>still alive to make shitty threads about mediocre shows
Fuck off poser

only that`s just an excuse to take of his frustration on himself.

the only time he has any free will at all, is when he gets summoned to the grail war.

>of

"out"

I thought servants are just copied from the throne of heroes? How can they have memories?

What if in a holy grail war he wins and makes his wish to be free of living this hell?

Saber remembers Kiritsuguru in FSN.

been awhile since i read the series but, isn`t the whole wish thing with the grail fake (or atleast the part were servants get to make wishes)?

tch

saber is technically a counter guardian as well. she made a deal with the world if she won the war, she would serve Alaya.

Because Saber is a special case, secondary.

Extra and Grand Order make it generally clear that while on the throne, they dream of their summonings.
Dream in a near-literal sense, sometimes the contents escape them and rarely do they create meaningful attachments.

>Grand Order
get that shit away from me.

Saber's a special case though, because she's not at the throne. She's suspended at the brink of death right?

correct

No, the memories of UBW Archer are lost, so Heroic Spirit Emiya spends all eternity hating himself and wishing he had never been born.

The Servants in Fate/Extra aren't summoned from the Throne of Heroes. They're recreations based on the observations of the Moon Cell.

I will not.

>The Servants in Fate/Extra aren't summoned from the Throne of Heroes. They're recreations based on the observations of the Moon Cell.
In the Fate/Extra sound drama Nasu basically says the moon cell is such a complex record that it's pretty much the exact same thing as the throne of heroes.

The fact the Moon Cell is separate means that its versions of Servants can have memories that the spirits in the Throne of Heroes lack. So the F/E Archer remembers his summoning during the 5th Grail War, something that the real heroic spirit Emiya does not.

I find it strange that Archer can remember his time as a Counter Guardian though. Does it mean that when he acts in that capacity, he's the real thing?

Not how it works. Perhaps I should just post the way it was said.
>Taiga: Is it correct to say that Moon Cell Servants aren't summoned from the counter force, but are instead reproduced copies like NPCs?
>Sakura: Yes, that's right. To be more precise, they are perfectly reproduced from the Moon Cell's records of human history. However, that human history is connected to the throne of heroes in multiple ways, so they can't be called copies as a rule. In short, the Moon Cell consciously creates its own history of humanity, but that history is the exact same as the throne of heroes, so it's like they overlap in multiple ways as the same existences.
>Taiga: While we're at it, the counter force is a different thing altogether. Archer-san is a counter force heroic spirit, but Archer-san in EXTRA was summoned from the throne of heroes, so he's not a slave of the counter force this time.
>Caster: I see, so the reason he has a few differences from the original Fate is also because of that state.

Updates to the Moon Cell records update the Throne and vice versa because the Moon Cell is perfectly accurate to the point of reality shifting to match.

The grail isn't powerful enough for that.

what if he makes small wishes and compounds them to make himself able to die

Like collecting the dragon balls, what if he won seven holy grail wars?

I'm pretty happy, if not solely for the fact that i'll never have to end up like all you faggots.

I would like say so, he definitely found it in UBW, HF, and Extra. EMIYA needs a break. The man had been suffering enough.

The holy grail war works like the dragon balls already.
severn servants
one wish
except it's monkeys paw shit, and not even that, your wish is turned into "kill all humans" instead.

To fully power the grail you need 7 heroes in it, so the actual end is using the master mark to tell the hero to kill himself. Thats why blowing them all is stupid, first of all the hero can hate you and kill you, second you cant use it to kill him at the end.

Why isnt it. It might be enough payment to get out of the contract with gaia.

>>one wish
>except it's monkeys paw shit, and not even that, your wish is turned into "kill all humans" instead.
Its not a wishing machine. It just is a well of magical energy. Usually its enough to fullfill your wish. The promise of a wish was just to pull in 4 retards as fodder for the 3 families. The families knew it was a magic tank that they wanted to use to reach the root with.

>archer
>most tragic anime character of all time
I guess you don't watch much anime.

...

The best part of saving people is their gratitude and happiness.

Shirou is denied that forever.

whats the best way to end it all?

>headshot:
need to get a gun, if it fails retarded for the rest of life

>hanging:
extremely painful

>cutting:
extremely painful (anemic shock)
if the wound heals retarded for rest of life

>falling:
requires courage, if it fails paralyzed

>pills:
statistical success rate of 3%

Lethal injection.

>As a suicidal person
Get out of here with your emo bait dude.

injection of what?

exit bag

Of lethal :^)

doesn't work anymore.

>As a suicidal person

Who gives a fuck? Fuck off, you fucking pussy.

No one wants to grow up to be a janitor

Could archer beat saber bride?

>Does he ever find peace?
No.

He's doomed for eternity, UBW made that point very clear. It was perfectly understandable for him to try to kill Shirou because it was literally his only chance. You can see in every route how he doesn't go to kill Shirou right away because he understands that even if he has the chance to erase his existence, Shirou isn't at fault here, but this changes only in UBW when he sees Shirou's suicidal behavior first hand.

Guts suffer through his life, and even then he get some moment of rests, Archer is doomed to do something he hates and disgust himself for the rest of eternity

Deepthroathing a dynamite stick

Unrelated, but does anyone have the image listing several american characters and figures as Servants? Trump was a Ruler in it
