>MC gets hired at a job she has no qualification for right out of high school

I should not be this mad at cute girl cartoons.

This happens in japan

Well she was only designing characters.

I'm sure experiences is faster than attending a college/university.

Notch drops out of highschool.

His mother signs him up on a programming course against his will.

The rest is history.

>>MC gets hired at a job she has no qualification for right out of high school
But that's how you learn a job.
That's precisely how you do it.

Do you know what "apprenticeship" means?

Her portfolio was good enough which is usually what can carry you in a creative field out of high school.

>3 years prior experience for entry level IT jobs
>or 18 month unpaid internship and no guarantee of employment afterwards
Though I am familiar with the concept, I have never seen it in the wild.

It's a dying culture since it means that companies have to treat their employees fairly, but it is a real thing.

When they explained what NPC means was when I decided to enjoy the show for the cute girls doing cute things

Apprenticeships are generally taken at the end of a trade school program.

She literally said she only knew 2D art.

you're not a cute wife after all.

Highschool is not mandatory in Japan by law.

If you want, as a 16 year old in Japan, you could bypass high school and attend a technical school instead.

It isn't really a popular choice though so most kids go to highschool in Japan.

Her sense of design was good enough that they hired her and she was a quick learner so it's not like it was that big of a gamble for them.

I think you shouldn't be taking this all too seriously. The reason why she was hired straight out of high school was not to make it realistic but because nobody would like to watch a show filled with nothing but old ladies.

But how? Does Nintendo just go trough schools searching for new sla- I mean, workers?

>nobody would like to watch a show filled with nothing but old ladies.

Say for yourself.

People apply and they submit portfolios like Aoba did.

Except for people with odd fetishes. I'm not going to list every special snowflake interest.

Speak for yourself.

Makes sense.

I guess history is full of stealing shit, yes.

Literally hundreds of guys on this board begs for an anime full of cakes. This is a lot more than "a few".

She's not a programmer, she's just an artist.
If she had a good portfolio by the time she graduated high school then its not far fetched that a company would pick her up and show her the ropes.

And thousands of guys don't give a shit about BBAs.

>go to school to learn and prepare for work
>finish school and get a job

Wow, Japan's system is so horrible, they should have years of experience for entry level jobs instead like in burgerland (which is why can't get a job since they won't hire newfags) that makes sense am I right?

What was weird that she had a hand drawn portfolio, and they hired her for 3D modeling, hence they had teach her how to even turn on the computer. It's unrealistic.
Although I would employ Aoba just to be able to look at her ass, tbhwy.

It's illegal to employ middle schoolers, user.

I've been asking for that exact premise for years.

Only if you pay them.

They would have fired her if she couldn't learn quickly enough. I mean, if you have a super talented artist that isn't too good with 3D vs. a shitty artist who already knows 3D, it's probably better to go with the former since they have more potential later on due to their innate talent.

>They would have fired her
You are talking about Japan.

Well they could always treat her like shit and force her to resign.

The thing about teaching people is that it usually pays off. Sure, there's retards. But they've got her final school marks and her portfolio and the job interview to make an estimate of her potential.

They can be reasonably sure that she will be an asset.

>You are talking about Japan.

They would put her in Alaska then.

>MFW I'm still in college for almost a decade
>Still no job

What do I win?

Companies will train people if they think that got potential. If the person can't make the cut the company will just fire them.
What IS weird is that they brought her in when a product's deadline is so close. I can't remember if there were any huge timeskips, but she basically went from newbie to cranking out new models every 3 days.

Not a job, that's for sure.

This isn't actual that rare in Japan apparently

>Art hiring is usually a merit- and evidenced-based process, especially compared to other roles in development. An artist lives or dies by their portfolio. Assuming no plagiarism, the portfolio doesn't lie. And if you have a lot of applicants to go through, looking at portfolios first makes early screening easy.
>The background: Japanese universities often teach few job relevant skills. So most companies hire by pedigree, personality, and intellect. Then they train you on the job from scratch. This isn't just a game industry thing, by the way. It's a country-wide educational issue that companies all adapted to decades ago

OP here I'm mad because I can't have that. How different is Japan?

its because people in the US believe they need a degree to get any kind of job.
So they go to get a degree and end up saturating the market with degrees.

It's like other big cities, only way more polite. Oh, and there aren't any trash cans, only those dumb recycling bins next to the vending machines.

>Envying Japanese work culture
How can you watch anime and yet know fucking nothing?

I definitely don't envy that, but I do envy not having to spend years doing mostly useless shit to get a degree.

The work still kills you, something anime doesn't portray at all.

just learn a trade, dipshit

Japan is not a country cucked by globalist bankers, as long as you're a Japanese you'll find employment in a Japanese company. It's a country that actively hates immigrant workers.

Have you tried being a cute girl and applying to a company ran by a crazy lesbian hag?

Where on earth would you even find companies run by lesbians anyway?

Everywhere thanks to AA. Not cute ones though.
