The best way to punish Russia for interfering with foreign nations, being pro-Russia/Nationalist, opposing globalism and for starting the Cold War is to cede land to neighbors, and gove minorities their homeland (ex. give ba k Sakhalin to Japan, give independence to Chechnya, return Murmansk to Finland).

Because 90% of Russia is uninhabitable. No one wants that shit because no one can live there without extreme weather gear that costs thousands of dollars to buy and maintain. Notice how on that map Russia build roads and shit only on the southern and western portion of that territory, and completely ignored the rest? Because theres no damn point in building roads to places no one can live.
Same thing applies to Canada ( ) and Alaska as well.
Those territories may have space and less population but not enough resources to sustain the numerous population or ambition, where's Siberia has more than enough natural resources.
