>...by screaming the name of that attack

HYPE

I have no idea what this is from but it is absolutely peak anime.

>Minions: "I can't believe he dodged boss's attack!"
>Boss: "This guy is strong. Scary, even!"
>Guy: *doesn't even know he's fighting, just tripped by accident*

>MC and friends just won a fight against some middle boss
>They are celebrating
>Screen pans out to show someone watching them
>He smiles
>Omoshiroi

Did you enjoy Angel Densetsu?

Extremely, and have also voraciously sought and devoured every piece of media I could find with an even somewhat similar gimmick. I just can't get enough of it!

Angel Densetsu is still my holy grail of manga. That gimmick never got old.

>Character speaks Engrish

Aiki has a side character like that, same for OPM as you probably know. I agree, it's an extremely hilarious gimmick, I feels like Angel Densetsu dropped it halfway through sadly, then it was just the same arc repeating arc of people scared of his face. Gokusen also had a similar gag that ran every now and then but I guess it's not as prevalent.

>Popular SJ series
>Not knowing it
I swear, I´m like fucking 20 years old, and I´m kind of mad that I´m sharing it with underage faggots.

I'm actually not that fond of this. The Baou Zakeruga impact was really underwhelming and he could have put more power into saying Baou Zakeruga.

Gash is Shonen Sunday, not Jump.

Probably the closest I've found to the original gimmick is Transfer Student Storm Bringer, with the twist that the main character is a little more aware of it all.

>>Character speaks Engrish

>If that's all he can do, I'll-
>gets rekt

A legitimate classic manga for sure

Maybe it was the nostalgia clouding my mind. Then again, I watched the english dub so maybe it sounded better in that version?

>Character gives exposition while walking in a circle
Those stupidly long conversations in HF better have that again.

Is this a JoJo reference?

>magic power runs out
>TIME TO BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF EACH OTHER WITH OUR FISTS

NO FEAR
NO PAIN

>"Give up now, villain! Your magic doesn't work on me!"
>"You may have bested my strongest magic, but you failed to account for one thing!"
>Pulls out knife and stabs the other character
>"I don't need magic to kill you."

ERABU AI WA HITOTSU
>teammate gets beaten
>"It looks like they've warmed up the field enough"
>"Time to show everyone something from a different league!"
HORA ASOBOU

>Villain: "Hero, you cannot defeat me!"
>"Someone who doesn't know how it feels to be alone cannot defeat me!"
>gets stabbed by his mook underling who kept getting shat upon by everyone and everything

Surprise knifings are just generally the best, really

Yeah I've heard of that one but I can tell it's complete shit, shame there aren't more manga with a similar gimmick.

>he's fast

>guess I'll have to use that
>but if you use that your body will...

>last fight is just hand to hand combat, no abilities used

>eeeeehhhh? (camera pans into sky)
>character says something so stupid, every body falls from their chair

I generally enjoyed it. Nowhere near as good, but solidly mediocre with some great parts. You may have accidentally read the reboot which was shittier and also abandoned.

Can't think of any example.

full metal alchemist ended with a fist fight kinda

>MC yells while powering up

Kamen Rider Kuuga.

>anime

>MC goes over 100 sync with his mecha
>Goes berserk
>that doesn't actually make him more efficient at all and just makes him loudly scream like a lunatic and nearly kills him

Sieghart in Rave Master.

>The "Punch really hard and really fast" attack

Scryed devoted its entire last episode to the mcs beating the shit out of each other.

>UMI DAAAA!!!!

The last episode of Scryed was literally the most satisfying last episode of anything ever.

Gurren laggan movie 2

The triple-shot of a punch or impact

Yeah man yeah

>Magical items are labeled with a rough description of what they do.

Kirei vs Shirou

>the door shatters

hmmm

>do you underSTAND?

>characters start to get vicious and violent
>they become visual metaphors of animals

>a boy falls in love with a girl
>unable to confess, he is gifted by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number

>a bunch of weird stupid shit is happening all around the mc and his friends
>female teacher either pretends nothing is happening or doesn't give a fuck

>Clever, competent villains whose plans make actual sense

And no, I don't mean only DIO and Kira from JoJo, I also mean Father from FMA and Sato from Ajin.

>MASAKA!
>B-BAKANA!
>NANI~!

don't kill me
Naruto shippuden

>MC goes to fight villain alone
>Suddenly his friends appear to help him
>"M-minna...!"

>Character imitates the fighting style of a missile instead

>protagonists beat big boss
>mid boss comes out to challenge them
>the day has been so long and arduous that the protagonists are too tired to deal with it and just go home in the middle of the speech

>underdog MC starts getting hella strong
>everyone still underestimates him and they get btfo

> loving old grandpa mentors the MC on how to be patient, gentle, and hard-working

We miss you Grumpy Jiisan.

>MC is a goofy, skirt chasing idiot
>Also is the best fighter in the series

>Character spends all season pissed off
>Last episode/last fight, said character's calm and quiet

>I'll never lose, to you!
>
>
>
>In the end, I couldn't win against you...

>new villain appears
>MC uses all the moves he learned on him
>he evades/blocks them effortlessly
>knocks him out in one hit
>Nothing personal, kid

>elderly character passes wisdom to younger, more arrogant character
>arrogant character doesn't get it or adhere to what's being said
>arrogant character gets old
>it finally clicks and the cycle repeats

Or grandma, or just wise old people in general

>one of the door's cracked segments transforms into a wall
hmmmm

>MC goes into a speech about friendship and bonds
>Somehow converts the main villain into the good side
>Main villain dies anyways

Dammit
Sagittarius you were too good for this world

I prefer the opposite
>YOU NEED TO GRAB THE SWORD THAT'S IN YOUR SOUL

>first season's opening song plays during final season's last scene

>situation that would normally cause protagonist to get angry and go berserk
>he's calm and collected and approaches the situation much better than he would have before

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

>MC about to fight villain
>side character/villain knocks him out so they can fight the big bad instead so MC can rest
The Zoro vs Kuma fight had this but THIS was the best moment.
Not Sup Forums.

what the fuck

>no. 1 movie in Japan
>no. 1 anime on MAL

So this is meme magic. Not bad.

Already a thing.

Every fucking time.

>Door turns into little girl
HMMMM

Keit-ai is already a movie. Your post has been DMCA'd by Makoto Shinkai, Toho, and Funimation.

>OHOHOHO!

>antagonist explain his skill/ability after using it.

>stop treating me like a kid says the MC
>temper tantrum over sandwich kills 14,956 innocent lives 8 of them being supporting chars

GAP ABUSE

>little girl shatters

HMMMM

They may say it is already a movie, but it just isn't the same.

>character explains his ability wrong on purpose
>fucks their opponent up with their own assumptions

>character who always has his eyes closed opens them

or

>joke character gets serious

Characters actually aging and changing things like their appearance.

Bugs me when you see a character in their childhood via a flashback or something and they having the same fucking hairstyle and general clothing

>both at once

Same

>antagonist who constantly clashes with protagonist
>however, a greater evil appears and he joins up with protagonist because he isn't really a bad guy after all

the best shit

Villain and MC genuinely respect each other.

This literally happens at the end of Yozakura Quartet.

If I'm remembering correctly, she outright admits to wanting to be abused a bit, so that's why he acts like that. He's usually calm.

Villain is a female
She becomes the protagonist's love interest

I love any Hero / Villain pairing no matter what side the genders are on.

It's just a damn shame it isn't done much, and when it is it's usually done pretty damn poorly.

Anyone have the Yozakura Quartet MC getting stabbed?

>Black and white fadeouts after a strong attack
