Super sayan up to 3 by itself was fine because they had somekind of consistency and were the first, ss4 was dumb but it wasnt canon and it was just hairy goku with red eyebags. SSG is just red goku, SSGSS is just blue goku, new frieza was just painted gold. They jumped the shark above the other shark they were already jumping.
When design standards are set THIS LOW, everything is acceptable, that diamond Frieza you got there is no less dumber than gold frieza.
