But to be honest the changes don't really seem to have helped get rid of them at all. With the exception of DJT all the generals are still here just with a different OP text. They still have a single thread for general discussion on 24/7 even if they have little new to talk about.

1. hiro never responds to posts in written in Japanese 2. These decisions clearly have nothing at all to do with hiro
Justin Williams
I, like, FUCKING don't care.
Asher Morales
You seem to know what you're talking about, so could you define what generals are, please? The term itself has become a weapon for Anons who don't like a certain kind of post or discussion.
Mason White
>Hiro, please give us a FULL definition of what a GENERAL is because anything user doesn't like is becoming a 'general'. You're an idiot if you actually think that Hiro cares even an iota about the well-being of the boards, much less actually visits individual boards to answer asinine questions like this. At best, you can try catching him on /qa/ during one of his forced Sup Forums PR sessions, after which he'll fuck off and disappear into the ether for five more months before coming back to start the same old song-and-dance and pretend that he actually cares about the userbase.
Maybe you can go to IRC and bitch to the mods about it. They'll probably tell you to eat shit and die, just like I'm about to. Eat shit and die.
Cooper Ross
So what. Is Hiro a robot? Doesn't he have an opinion on the matter?

Since the is no downvoting function, people are now resorting to outright deleting stuff to vent their frustration under the guise of "saving" Sup Forums.
Right now it's only the established stuff, like the drawfag one. But it won't take much for us to see even airing series get banned, especially the cute girl stuff the /mlp/ mods have always been keen on deleting.

>Are generals only what some people don't like? Yes, anything the mods excuse is allowed no matter what the rules say. It doesn't fucking matter because fuck you, I'm not going to do shit about it. Even if it's breaking rules, I'm not going to care.

Why do people have more problems with generals than the crossboarders than infest every other thread?
Julian Murphy
ヒロちゃん、これ見てる?気づいてよ。問題は確かにある。[general」っていう事にして勝にやってる人がいる。 Hiro, please read. Some people are using the "general" term to vent their frustration. Is it the right way to use a 'rule'?
Tyler Nelson
Because they are the crossboarders. Trump bringing the redditors and Dragon Ball Super / Jojo (and now Code Geass) bringing the other dumps is the sole reason why there is so much whining recently.
Sincerely, IPs that posted on Sup Forums, Sup Forums and other normalfag boards should be tagged as such.

If generals belong on Sup Forums they would have been here since day one. They weren't and theres no precedence for it. Generals is made by newfaggots and increases cancer that is killing Sup Forums and Sup Forums in general. At least moot got it somewhat right by making /vg/, but can you imagine Sup Forums now if /vg/ didn't exist?
This is what bothers me. I see more and more people using "waifu" wrong or using "normie" instead of normalfag or not Sup Forums realted pics, etc., and less and less people who react to it. Not many people encourage mods to do something about it and instead they just go full "mods=gods xD" mode because he deleted a few containment threads and made a sticky for CG and an epic get.
Wyatt Phillips
Yes as long as you don't post anything explicit, hentai discussion is fine.
So why did my hentaifu thread get deleted? There was nothing explicit but it was pruned.
William Jones
Look at /jp/, look at Sup Forums, look at anywhere else
Generals just kills creativity, fun and OC completely and reduces Sup Forums into a bogstandart chathub. This isn't a fucking a chathub.
If you want to make a weekly draw thread or buyfag thread or something, I dont think many would have any problems with that, but its the recurring repetitive nature of it that just completely ruins this place. Its like people completely forgot how Sup Forums and /jp/ was before the cancer that is generals started happening

>Not many people encourage mods to do something about it I can see this occurring due to the observance that this behavior (increase of newfaggotry et. al) has been going on for years and mods have shown their universal incompetence the entire time.
I'm in the crowd of wanting things to get better but the mods don't give any fucks and they're the ones with the power to change shit. If there was more than what, that whopping ONE mod who isn't a total cumstain, then maybe things could change for the better.
Lincoln Kelly
What worries me about Mods=Gods is that WE KNOW what the average mod is like. All the leaks point toward a certain type of "person" which no one here would like.
Hot pocket worshiping is fun when confined to a thread and taken as a joke, what I see now is deluded people thinking that mods are like the angels bringing in an utopia of quality posting.
Josiah Hughes
Threads made 24/7 dedicated specifically to one show and is used to encompass all general discussion of said show -- hence "general". Usually the title will be present in the subject field, if the general is even more prevalent they'll come up with their own pseudonym ala /yys/ or /YrYr/. Finally the OP will be some nondescript statement that doesn't incite any real discussion like "X did nothing wrong" or "Y edition".

This. It's because we have no fixed, concrete, crystal clear rules.

>weekly thread Like the waifu thread?
Hell, there are people shitposting about "monthly generals" (as they call it) like monthly manga and Yuki Yuna.
