Except it was miles better than LL.

They stopped producing content.

My guess is that the real-life idols in Love Live are a lot more popular and better at being real idols than the voice actresses that happen to work as part-time idols.

It had too mush SOUL in its girls and their songs.

Will Platinum get us a new anime eventually? CG sucks donkey balls.

Love Live was a lot safer and bland in its characters, they were easier to like for most people. Compare Makoto and her being a tomboy to Rin, who is simply flat.

Many reasons, such as fucking up the personalities of characters like Yukiho, using the shitty sequel designs, and constantly having Hibiki and Miki appear everywhere instead of others. It also came out far too late, since Idolmaster was at its largest in the mid-00s. The episodes being about them doing trivial variety show shit instead of actual performances also didn't help.

Otaku weren't lady enough.

All of the idolmasters are miracles. Love live has no miracles. People just have shit taste.

...

love live is the naruto of idol anime

...

I like them all, so rolling happily.

Just a reminder that Love Live Sunshine increased the tourism on Numazu by a lot.

That's something that IM@S can't do.

Explain what makes you think that.

>ftfy

the main cast in LL all sound like the same girl doing different personality tropes.

"ok, we need you to sound mature"

"ara ara!"

"ok, now sound cute"

"daisuke!"
this is pretty much my chart. I don't think I'd change anything. makoto best girl. shovel is also a qt so I might move her up to 2.

stupid forced drama

Sadly, the lack of producer made the difference.
Otaku trash wouldn't reconize a good man even if it hit them in the face

In Love Live, the idols actually interact with each other, whereas in Cuckmaster they just circlejerk over the self-insert Producer, who isn't even a self-insert in the anime anymore.

Yeah hardest choice for me was between Haruka and Shovel for 2/3.

LL was actually fun.

>What made the difference?

More like dumb.

The girls of Love Live were miles better than anyone in Idolmaster. Also, there weren't any guys in Love Live.

SAME FACE

There was enough of it in Sunshine

>circlejerk over the self-insert Producer
well that's the core point of im@s, the player/producer produce the girls as they building the relationship with each other. are you retarded? sasuga love live shitters don't even know what im@s is about

There was Honoka's dad, but we never saw his face or heard his voice.

As opposed to the smart storytelling of an Idolm@ster show, right?

If you want something not totally dumb with idols you have to go WUG or something, and then you are asking for what you're going to get.

What is love live?

love live songs aren't even at least decent.
it's just love live ota just doing their stupid things like usual.

This is what made the difference.

I want Makoto and Yukiho to live a long and happy life together.

Might unironically be true. im@s might have better songs on average, but Snow Halation is in another league entirely and also massively popular to a degree im@s can't hope to match.

In comparison to LL, almost every Idol anime is.

I also thought that the LL characters were bland as fuck, with one or two exceptions.

LL has some great songs (most of them by the same sub-unit though)
iM@S definitely has more good songs, but it has a fucking ton more songs overall so it's hard to tell quantity vs quality

Also, I just think LL was better suited to people new to the franchise, while iM@S was pandering to people already into it, they both did their job.

Love Live characters are generally more generic while Im@s characters are all HELLO THIS IS THE ONE GIMMICK THAT I AM ALL ABOUT I HOPE YOU LIKE IT.

It's really a matter of preference, LL is more "bland" but it's not like that's because the Idolmasters are better written characters.

>LL was better suited to people new to the franchise
yes, also basically im@s is more niche than love live since mostly normalfags in Japan know what love live is but they never heard of im@s.

because i'm not allowed to be happy

I thinks the main reason is just FLEETSTONES.

>not making ami and mami doubles

They are rankings not for rolls.

im@s only pandered to otaku

LL pandered to otaku but was also massively normie-friendly (same principle as K-On vs other moeshit).
It also had Ayase "make every female viewer spontaneously orgasm" Eli.

>female viewer
>implying i have a vagina

One is based on a series of pseudo-dating sims from the last decade where you, faceless harem protagonist, go on dates with idols.
The other is an intricate yuri shipping matrix designed by the author of Strawberry Panic.

You figure it out.

Wouldn't that be Maki or Kotori? Those seem to be loved by both males and females.

Beating Uranus is quite the achivement I think.

LL was far more approachable because it was basically a school club anime with an Idol theme, as opposed to an anime about actual Idols. A lot of people both in and out of Japan find the Idol industry very offputting even at its most innocent, and a group of friends doing school club stuff is both more relatable to the average jap and more easily understood to the average western viewer

IM@S has cuter girls. Prove me wrong.

Hanayo exists.

Checkmate, iM@Sfags.

Westerners only care about Love Live because of Flintstones.

The fact that there is no crossover yet is baffling.

Love Live isn't even just a school club anime, it's a highschool sports anime where the sport is being idols. Quite honestly I'd take that complete fantasy over Im@s' softball approach to the idol industry where they kind of sorta sheepishly admit that it's not all super great for a 3-episode arc.

someone forgot about GO MY WAY

Because LL is the DBZ and OPM of idol anime. Blacks and Hispanics love that shit to death.

It was my first idol show and I really enjoyed it, Watching it with Sup Forums too made it 10x funner.

Im@s has better music but LL girls (Mostly Maki and You) are better.

>not mentioning chinks

Who is the blacks' favorite idol?

>being an idol
>sport

Nozomi since she's THICC

Black guy here, can confirm. We also like Maki and Nico from Muse.

Better question, who has the best doujins?

I think it kinda is in their universe, even though it makes no sense applied to our world it seems to be a normal thing in theirs with their emphasis in "school idols" instead of just "idols". Like mahjong in Saki or tanks in garupan it's not weird for a school girl to do such things as hobbies in their world.

I prefer LL but Im@s has better doujins just by sheer volume. For every great LL doujin there's 5 great Im@s doujins

Nico, because of the ones with her little sisters, and the ones where she's pregnant with already sexy, mini Nico looking babies.
Good faps were had.

Nothing will ever top "As expected from country grown vegetables"

You mean in meme value.
It wasn't even a particularly one doujin itself.

>Both Otonokizaka and Uranohoshi showed all girl students
G-guys can be school idols too r-right?

>Not rating things from their memetic value

The same guy's Iori doujin is far better.

depends, how cute do they look in skirts?

How good do you think this room smells after they've finished a long dance practice?

Gay

Horrible.

Never watched an idol show but the porn is great so if I feel like I'm missing something, should I start with idolmaster or LL?

LL is just more fun and games compared to imas.

Start with Idolmaster and then stop after you've finished it.

Nice delusions.

Are you interested in her work?

Im@s 2011 is great, but both of the Cinderella Girls seasons are irredeemable shit.
Meanwhile all seasons of LL are consistent, has high production values and a good watch.

>LL
>high production values
lmao

Are you retarded on purpose?

>Love Live
+ better ensemble interplay
+ actually funny from time to time

± school idol concept is hilariously stupid
± absurdly heightened tone, everything is epic
± buffet of yuri shipping

- CG dancing
- attempts at drama tend to fall flat

>Idolm@ster
+ better music
+ better animation

± ostensibly realistic but romanticizes the business heavily
± enjoyment depends heavily on whether you like the character showcased in a particular episode

- barely any story and what's there isn't great either
- producer character is a bland nothing

idonmaster is a soulless Namco cashcow
While Love Live is a carefully crafted masterpiece by the fans for the fan by based Bandai

oh god yes, please sing and dance for me makoto!

I'd jog with her everyday and call her cute when no one else is around.

iM@S (CG as well) was actually good. Sadly, people have shit taste.

Yeah nice production there, they sure took their time with this shitty 3dcg

>CG as well
Troll spotted desu.

>- producer character is a bland nothing
You take that back right now. AkabaneP is a miracle of the universe.

go find a hole to fall into for cheap drama

The problem I have with idol master that makes them too difficult to follow is how little their group interacts. It felt like in the anime every girl just stuck with their respective groups or went and did their own thing. I know the purpose of that was to focus on each girl respectively, but I really hate that approach, I was especially put off by Ryugu Komachi and poor Miki getting BTFO, but I realized that's just the nature of the show, it's about actual pro idols. Love Live had a more tight knit, fun, and comfy approach and made me feel like this was a true idol group where everyone is having fun and coming together. I just think that's more fun and watchable than actual professional idol shit.

Fuck off, retard, we all know that 3dcg performances are a weak point in it. You know what they still are better than? CG's still only performances, not to mention it being a rigid, lifeless piece of low budget shit all the time.
2011 Im@s > all LL iterations > shit > CG

Yes.

Oh look, it's that pasta again.

Idolmaster baited with its first episode, then beach episode, then ara-ara wedding episode then Miki Honey episode and then it is unstoppable.

LL failed in baiting in its first episode while its art style is as creepier as its fanbase.

Not him but I thought we argue about 765 pro and original LL here?

So good it makes my dick hard.

...

Then you clearly didn't read my original post you first replied to.
