What Homura did at the end of rebellion was basically brainwash and force everyone to be her dolls playing happy house, she acknowledge that she hasnt fix much, and only create a situation were Madoka is happy, at least from her point of view, she also knows that Madoka will eventually regain her memories and power and this will only lead to a huge fight, and doents even try to look for a way to fix everthing, she create a situation were she isnt even stalling for time to find a way to fix things, she create a timebomb. Whatever she did to kyubey and its race, is going to backfire somehow, even Sakaya told her that what she did was just force them on her own ideal world no neccesary ideal for the rest. Like a second world she create on her soul gem, a happy world, yet a false one, with a lot of shit going on in the back.

This world is just as valid as the one that Madoka made at the end of the original series, except that Homura has more control over it that Madoka ever did with hers. If you call this one "false" you should call Madoka's world false too.

I never implied it was a glorious save everyone option that would give us a happily ever after, I only implied that it was preferable to the previous universe because it frees Madoka from her heavy obligation as a god, and allows the original quintet plus Nagisa to exist in reality, as well as punishing Kyubey for his extreme greed. It's only temporary, but it is the lesser of two evils in comparison to the mess that was the Wraith arc.
Speaking of the Wraith arc, anyone know when the scanlation of Chapter 9 is coming out?
