If you want to see what America would be like if it ditched net neutrality, just look at Portugal

So giving control of the internet over to China will save us money?

Makes sense if you are 100% retarded

>flag

That is a portugese mobile data plan. The apps get free data. This is not a normal net subscription.

B-but that's for phones user

OP's pic are optional packs with unlimited data for those apps.

Non-cucked parts of Europe pay two of those packages' fees a month for unlimited data on everything, though.

Still mobile data. Not regular internet. Mobile is another thing entirely.

>Mobile is another thing entirely.

Non-cucked parts of Europe allow you to share your data between devices on the same phone number, though.

(I guess they could be paying an extra 4.99 a month to use Facebook on their phone and desktop internet literally simultaneously? Like with each hand?)

Only faggots use Facebook

Or just look at America three years ago.

I love how people are acting like we never had internet before net neutrality and by getting rid of it we're venturing into unknown territory.

Make internet Great again not net neutrality

>Or just look at America three years ago.

THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FOR DECADES BEFORE 2015 NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE INTERNET
NN IS A GOVERNMENT POWER GRAB
ALL THESE PRO NN PEOPLE ARE NETFLIX AND FACEBERG PAID SHILLS

Leftists always invert the truth. Nowhere has ever had ((net neutrality)) and it's a terrible idea.

>mfw I lived long enough to see the former champion of a free internet turn into shills against NN and in favour of even more government control

How about just moving to China then, if you hate freedom that much?

Didnt you hear what comcast and verison were doing? The shit is bad now because companys will try to go out of their way to hurt their customers now, just for a little (massive) extra pay

>10 GB data
>optional
lol

I looked it up. You can get unlimited fiber 100mbps up/down for $27 bucks. If you only email or whatever, you can do it for about 6 bucks a month.

This is exactly why net neutrality needs to end.

>comparing mobile ISPs with landlines
>being totally ignorant of the inherent data limitation which is necessary owing to the scarcity of data able to be transmitted over an allotted radio frequency with limited bandwidth

>being totally ignorant of the inherent data limitation **of radio communication**

Will ending net neutrality get rid of many of the dindus and commies from the internet? If so, that's cool with me.

Have my babies!

oihjp

>but it will happen to landlines too dood

That's their mobile service. And American mobile service is not regulated by current net neutrality law anyway

Stop shilling all over the place. There are a hundred fucking threads between here and plebbit for you faggots to spit out your Facebook and Soros-endorsed talking points. We have to talk about the niggers.

Thats how much cable TV used to cost. Look at it now.

It will get rid of dindus, but the commies are generally rich brats so not them. The dindus will return once they get federal internet assistance so in the end there will just be less normal people. Sup Forums wants to BTFO itself pretty hard and doesn't realize it.

All the international fags have it worse though because you're gonna pay a real premium to get to those sweet American sites you love to hang out with the dindus and commies.

My mobile service can block websites that are age restricted. I had to jump through hoops to get it turned off. Just imagine if certain websites were deemed inappropriate for anyone to view them.

achas que os meme flags sabem do que se passa no planeta ze?

>can't comprehend
you better get back at putting those cookies in boxes or you'll be fired.

Theres literally nothing wrong with this. Its not pay for access, its pay for unlimited per category. This is basically a modular approach to unlimited data and probably more fair. The vast majority of internet bandwidth is used by a minority of users. If unlimited data is to be universal then you have to make the low end users pay more to cover the cost of the power users. In the US netflix alone takes up 35% of net bandwidth. It would be fair to make cell plans that limit streaming data unless youre willing to pay for being a bandwidth hog

>still buying the packaged internet bullshit and somehow defending it.
It would NEVER happen with landlines. Mobile yes, landlines? It would be a poor business decision and would be impossible to execute in most markets without doing it in lockstep with their competitors which is unlikely as one has the potential to profit off the the overwhelming demand for the traditional-tier.

So all of the cancer will no-longer be able to shill on Sup Forums because they used up all the gibs on facebook, snapchat, skype, google propaganda, twitch cancer, pop music garbage, etc.

I already like this.

Youre probably right that the package model wouldn't happen with landlines. But for mobile I think its actually very good and should be implemented here in various forms because mobile data still has a lot of room to improve in terms of coverage, speed and bandwidth. Plans should be more tailored to people's specific needs so that the networks can be more efficient. We have much more room for innovation and competition if providers can compete on more than just price by making "perks" and add-ons an option. I.e. we can have providers that cater to heavy streamers, people that just use facebook and email from their hometown, people that travel a lot and upload lots of pictures, etc.

In terms of landlines what will probably happen in the long run is that major bandwidth hogs such as netflix will eventually be strongarmed by ISPs into paying a premium. I don't see anything wrong with this. I doubt there will ever be a situation where consumers directly pay extra to untether but costs might trickle down via higher subscription prices. Very fair IMO. Net Neutrality is tragedy of the commons. People should be paying for usage and not asking very light internet users to pay more to make up for power users

This pic refers to mobile phone data packages. Look at it. Mongs

ITS A FUCKING MOBILE PLAN YOU KIKE, STOP SPREADING FAKE SHIT ABOUT MY COUNTRY. MY COUTRY IS ALMOST 100% SOCIALIST, THERE IS NO FREE MARKET HERE. KYS FFS

Agreed. Niggers watch netflix and slow down data. Ever notice that data is very slow in some urban areas?
Anyone else remember how slow 4G used to be at airports when it first came out?
There is an inherent scarcity to cellular data communication.

Its not about tiers of content or landlines or social media packages its a dumb meme people keep posting that misses the point.

The reality is that if you live in California and the website you watch is down the road then its cheaper than the guy who lives in Virginia who wants to hang out on the site in California. The ISPs want to charge based on where your data packets go and how far based on contracts with other people and who owns the lines they cross.

Until the Trump administration removes ISP anticompetition laws, I support net neutrality.
Right now, thanks to those laws, I have two ISP options: Cable One and CenturyLink (not including the resellers).
I'd rather not be forced into paying for access to 4chink at normal speeds, when it's been proven that ISPs like to fuck over their customers.
That's why NN was passed in 2015, amongst other things. Unless they were classified as Title II, they could get away with speed inhibition and selective blocking thanks to this lawsuit: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verizon_Communications_Inc._v._FCC_(2014)
Now I'm gonna go copypaste this into the other hundred NN threads that are in gross violation of the sticky.

companies are free to offer the same level of access they currently offer

who are these people so against the free market?

Good to see you again Norgod
