Is this the SLOWEST fucking anime of ALL time? Seriously, nothing fucking happens for episodes at a time. I can leave an episode to run in the background, come back for the next episode, and not have actually missed anything of value. It's just fucking talking, nothing else. Hardly any progression of the story, pure, unadulterated tedium. Cute girls though.

it`s funny that someone said that, this anime is just to complicated for you my little child

>watching monogatari for the plot

It does seem to be more of a novel than a television show. I really dig the thematic orderly backgrounds that Senjougahara always had though.

Don't watch stuff you don't like just to fit in.

/thread

Assuming you've only seen Bake, it really doesn't have much of a plot and ends up being more of an introduction to the characters of the series. But it is always about 90% dialogue so you might want to consider whether or not that sort of show is for you.

Just wait until Hanamonogatari. It's the cure for insomnia.

>watching monogatari

ONE WHOLE HOUR OF EXPOSITION

also technically Otorimonogatari was an hour and a half of someone talking to themselves
sasuga nisio

are you saying I have shit taste or that the novels are better?

It's because Shaft takes portions from the LN and spreads them out over entire episodes. Stuff that takes around 5 minutes tops to read in LN format. It's not that the anime adds detail or information either, usually it cuts stuff out even.

The Kizu movies are Shaft's first actual attempt at "adapting" the material to anime instead of just hiring admittedly fantastic VAs to read portions of the source material with some scenery porn slapped over it.

This may be difficult for you to believe but some people can actually find discussion interesting.

>It's because Shaft takes portions from the LN and spreads them out over entire episodes
are you high
if anything they cut stuff out
see neko black for example
literally the first third of that was entirely memes and references, thank god they shortened that shit

>if anything they cut stuff out
That's what I said
They copypaste portions of across, not all of it (that wouldn't be possible to fit into episodes). I'm saying that they shouldn't be so strictly copypasting shit across at all and actually try to adapt the material to fit the anime format instead (like what they're doing with Kizu to an extent) because it doesn't translate across all that well

>there are people who walk away from episodes they are watching

what the fuck is wrong with people? i literally dont take my eyes off whatever i'm watching until its over, anime or not - its called "paying attention"

If I was trying to fit in I would have said I liked it, retard. Fucking sucks that it's bad though, the girls are REALLY cute, they did a fantastic job, but I struggle to push myself through all the boring scenes not involving cute lolis.
It's not exactly good discussion though. There are animes with better discussion. The only reason to watch this anime is for cute girls.

-gatari is garbage.
We just watch it for the lewds.
But the plots and the characters, araragi aside, are shit.

That explains it. I wish there was somewhere that provided audio translations of Japan's light novels so that I could listen while doing other tasks.

it's not even that slow

I guess Monogatari is just a little too advanced for some people.

user, you have a wonderful future as an art gallery owner ahead of you.

>It's just fucking talking, nothing else

That's correct. Were you under the impression that it was like DBZ or Naruto?

If you have the fucking gall to call this angel a shit, then I have to say that you have a wonderful future in a dumpster somewhere ahead of you.

or maybe I said that nobody watches it for the plot because it's a character-focused show
but you'd just rather shitpost all day wouldn't you

Take your meds and stop posting, user.

The first season is slow as fuck and boring as shit, especially the snail arc. Bakemonogatari briefly shines in season two and that's about it.

>especially in the crab arc
What breaks the monotony is Senjougahara insulting Araragi a few times, but I still wouldn't call it slow. In the other arcs either the characters have better chemistry or there is a bit of action.

She's a vampire though

Vampire-angel.
