Captain Tsubasa.

watched baby steps for the first time it was pretty enjoyable I wouldn't mind watching it again

love it. havent finished slam dunk or joe yet though.

Bara n gay anime when?

i am absolutely diamonds for eyeshield 21

Sports is objectively the best anime genre.

Unfortunately some works like DAYS or Area no Kishi was shit and so bland.

Loved Slam Dunk.
I should really start on Real

Volleyball here.

Any sports anime that isn't Slam Dunk is garbage.

Joe and Ippo aren't garbage user

that shit was hilarious, faggots could run from one side to the other in a couple of hours. you could see the fucking curvature of the earth.

SD>RKB>FUJOBALL

i love slam dunk and ippo is one of my favorites anime . kuroko wasn't great but it wasn't bad either ! thinking to start with joe but it's too old for me and i know about the end !

This ED is great.

This.

Anything is better than blatant fujobait

what is RKB?

I had a blast with oneouts aka baseball akagi.

Yerp, Slam Dunk is great. Characters in it are superior to Kuroko's though Kuroko gets me more hype. Watching it is the equivalent of railling out blow

...

Sports Drama is better.

Ro-Kyu-Bu!

that loli a center I fucking hate anime what is this

Granted, the center is one of the taller girls.

thanks but i won't watch it . looks too moe

I really enjoyed Haikyuu. Felt like its a good mix between intense and comfy.

but a center isn't just tall player though I'd love to watch this I saw gifs of them passing the ball

I've been told a guy with a legit wolf fist was in ippo's manga is that true

>like a character
>try to look up fan art
>all yaoi shit

That's my only flaw with sports anime

thats with most anime though

Cross Game is great

oofuri is excellent.

>Kuroko gets me more hype.
Because it's more recent. In a few years it'll be forgotten unlike Slam Dunk.

>try to look up fan art
Well there's your problem faggot

>looking up fanart of male characters
what were you expecting exactly

>watched All Out!!
>all males are strong but feminine as fuck

Why?

Is any user watching days? Is it any good?

I don't but I heard the mc sucks ass at soccer

SD is the best and totally shits on KnB, that's for sure.

Perhaps she got too carried away with wanting to emphasize their thick bodies and exaggerated their proportions too much. Wish more of Sup Forums watched it.

I remember watching some tennis anime when I was growing up that was pretty great just because how ridiculous it was, like players taking swings that intentionally bounced the ball into the other players face and stuff like that. Forgot the name of it though.

Prince of Tennis

Thanks man. I'm only just starting to get back into anime watched all of JoJo and just started cowboy bebop, might end up watching that next.

I can't wait for you to reach the part about space and dinosaurs.

am I the only person on this board that watched babysteps a little disapointed. is prince of tennis better

I am only halfway through, but I am very much enjoying Baby Steps. Though I did have a some moments where I found it boring, I realized that I needed to simply stop watching when I wasn't feeling it and come back after a break. I usually watched two-four episodes at once.

As for PoT, depends on your definition of better. Entertaining for sure, but not necessarily better. And keep in mind that you'd be in it for the long haul. I think they have the record for most character CDs to date.

I feel you even I took a break every now and then but I still ended up binging it. as it goes on maruo's progression becomes more apparent I think it was handled well it got me more interested in tennis and the romance doesn't take for ever. fun show might even be one of my favorites. remembering marathoning ippo and I really don't wanna marathon another sports anime that long I'' probably never watch PoT.

Only memorable thing about Kuroko were the outtake shorts.

Sports is the most consistently high quality genre in anime.

Yeah, when I was 16

Boxing is fighting, not a sport.

Can someone post the Captain Tsubasa line-up with retarded proportions?

Same user, same

I love how MC was incredibly technical about the sport, but the dialogues would sometimes get long and I couldn't absorb anymore or I felt like I was forgetting what he said previously. But I still love the series and didn't force myself.

Stay away from PoT. You have to be highly committed to take that one on.
KnB was fun. It was your typical shounen sports series with a lot of funny and bro guys that hooked me. I'm still following it for the movies and animation next year.

>but the dialogues would sometimes get long
indeed I found myself trying to read the subs and the pages from his note book at the same time alot and having to go back although most of the time he summarizes what was said

This never gets old.

I wish I could say 'well, it seems sports anime is made primarily for children these days'.
If only.

this. I don't understand why its always assumed to be fujo bait its literally basketball Z

Sup Forums fell for the meme.

Because it makes mens dicks hard you dip.

Prince of Tennis.

>tfw you don't have to deal with retarded fujoshits because they are scared of bara tits and thicc

But that was also the best part, right?
It was all about pacing. Force and speed and whatnot are obviously a big part of tennis, but I've never seen the science.
Is that clip from the promo that had those effects the entire time? I could never find it again.
Good times.

Real is fucking top tier, easily one of my favourites.

It's good and bad because the threads are terribly dead. They can be good for discussion.

Nothing left, not even the ashes

Real runs deep for me. I had to read that manga twice to pull myself out from under. It's painfully inspiring for those with physical disabilities and even those close to them who can never fully understand.

im just glad Haikyuu threads this season arent full of fucking fujos and yaoi posts

Modern sports anime is pure trash. At least moe shit doesn't take itself seriously the way fujo bait does. We'll never have anything even remotely close to Slam Dunk again.

I just read RRR. It might be something you like as well. Although, I wish it were longer.

...

I recently finished Kuroko and really liked it, entire cast was bro tier and it had some of the best fights in any anime I watched. Now watching Haikyu and really liking it, it's super simmiliar, but a bit less hype. Ippo is fucking great and Tsubasa was my childhood, first anime i watched and got little robot me to try going out and playing with other kids before i started to go full autism.

I like sport series, I can watch most if I just want to binge something with a some food in hand.

Also hope the new soccer series in SJ doesn't get axed in half a year.

mochiron!

Man who has only had eyes for rock stardom has an unknown path open to him and what do you know?

I'm interested. Thanks a lot for mentioning it, user.
Some of the greatest bros and best girls
ever. It was quite a ride and the third season 10/10 with God hand OST.

>those mouths in the back

Don't worry, All Out is two cour, there is still time for it to get popular. At least there has been an increase in fanart.

Today's died right after HS, but you can't force a conversation. He's hoping it picks up when we get to a major match.

Rookies was nice. Anime never but that's okay.

Wish the ending had a bit more meat to it, personally. All that build-up for such a brief conclusion, it wasn't bad but I didn't feel satisfied by it.
