There aren't many cyberpunk series and most of those are from the 80ies and 90ies. Very few are memorable.

I'm not even sure Lain qualifies as cyberpunk. If it does then the recent Ocult;Nine does too.

Psycho Pass is the only anime that I would consider a proper cyberpunk that has been done recently. And it is good, but don't bother with the movie or the second season.

If you liked Lain you should try Tehxnolyze which has a very similar style, same writer and chara designer. Plus it's definitely a cyberpunk.

Lain is one of my favorite series, but comfy is certainly not the word I'd use.

I personally like season 2 of GiTS better, but different strokes for different folks I suppose. Lain really is great though.

Well if you have an actual condition then thats more understandable. Not forgivable, but understandable. Do try to watch the whole show even if it seems a bit confusing, it'll all pay off by the end (and it's only 12 episodes, any Sup Forumsutist worth his salt can knock that out in a day easily).
