When did you first realize he was a terrible villain?

When did you first realize he was a terrible villain?

Second form

When all he did after becoming perfect was to throw a tourney and have 0 motivation for anything anymore.

He wasn't the best villain in the series but he sure as shit wasn't a terrible one. Just really bland.

What the fuck else was there to do? Be a wageslave like Gohan? Train and do nothing like Goku?
He doesn't eat, he's genderless, that's two life goals removed.
There wasn't going to be anyone stronger than him to his knowledge, might as well motivate some fighters for some fun

When I looked back and realized he had literally no motivation after becoming perfect. He was basically just "Oh well I guess I'll kill Goku since that's what I was made for even though I don't have to" and just fucked around.

He didn't even have a generic "HAHA I'LL DESTROY THE WORLD" motivation, he was just "lol whatever i'm perfect now so who cares"

>"Oh well I guess I'll kill Goku since that's what I was made for even though I don't have to"

He literally never thought this. If anything, he respected Goku and was excited to fight him.

He's essentially an android/robot and a clone of Freeza. What did you think he would do if he killed Goku and Gohan at the tournament? Stand on Earth?

No, he would fly out to outer space and continue to get stronger flying to other alien planets. He'd basically become the next Freeza I imagine

He was clearly just a Goku clone when he reached perection. He would have flown around the universe looking for someone to send him to Valhalla.

He was just testing his new form, just like you test a new phone or laptop, you want to check all the shit you can do and the tourney was the best option, it just backfired badly

He did nothing wrong and just wanted to have fun fighting Goku. If Goku actually took Senzu bean when Cell gave him chance he might actually have won. Instead he just pissed Cell off and died for it.

Anything else like what?
Destroy the Earth?
Fly to other planets and kill weaklings?

What if Cell surrendered after Gohan beat the shit out of him and joined up with the Z fighters?

What would have changed in the Buu sagas?

I imagine his plan was to destroy the Earth once he defeated the Goku and his friends, and then travel the universe looking for stronger adversaries.

He didn't even wanted to destroy the earth, he is part saiyan, he prolly just wanted to fight strong fuckers for fun

There would be technically none and he should know about it, Frieza was heralded as the strongest until the abnormalities on Earth

Would've been another body for Buu to incorporate into his being. Wouldn't have done much more, given that Gohan, Goku and Vegeta were stronger than he was at the beginning of that saga and they got stronger yet during the course of it. Cell would be like another Piccolo.

>What the fuck else was there to do?
watch the chimera ant arc of Hunter X Hunter for the answer to this question

Would have gotten stronger than Buu easily if he had been training for the whole 7 years.

It took Vegeta 7 years and the help of Babidi to reach power above Super Perfect Cell, Cell only had to Self Destroy to do it.

Would Cell get stronger by training?

Freeza did.

Vegeta said he and Goku was stronger than Gohan was when he fought Cell

He is part Sayan, and did get significantly stronger when he tried to blow himself up against Goku

And?

Mean's he's above SPC without Babidi

Had no techniques of his own, just stole what the earth warriors had

Regeneration bullshit so he just came back to life millions of times

Personality wise was a less intimidating version of Freiza

Removed the androids from the story who were much more interesting because they had bonds and actually cared for each other unlike Cell who cared about nothing

Cell would have been a big piece of candy.

>Dragon Ball
>Good villains ever
Kek

>dissing the prince of all saiyans and the pink candyman

No, Vegeta said Adult Gohan was weaker now compared to 7 years younger Teen Gohan in the Cell Games.

Vegeta praised Goku for having a power level higher than Teen Gohan did in the Cell fight, After Vegeta had the boost from Babidi.

IF Cell has Frieza's ability to go golden because of his cells and are, he would one shot everything

Shitty writing aside though, he would have been stomped hard like the SSj2 and he would never surpass SSJ3 level
And by the time Ultimate Gohan and the fusion forms comes up Cell is far too behind like Vegeta

>dissing the prince of all saiyans
Im on board

>and the pink candyman
aaaaaand disregarded

piccolo is one of the best characters toriyama ever created

Goku could go Super Saiyan 3, he was on a whole other level

But not Vegeta and Goku only could because he had training in the other world, where his body has extra resistance.

Freeza being heralded as the "strongest in the universe" is just a title, and doesn't necessarily mean that's true. There could be some unknown warriors out there who would give Cell a good fight. He'd just keep looking until he found some.

Why did the Supreme Kai figure it necessary to intervene for Buu but not Cell?

He was never that great.

Android/Cell arc was more about the protags than the villains as opposed to the frieza arc. It'd be more accurate to call it the Future Trunks/SSGohan arc.

At least he wasn't as bad as Super Buu, who was even more of a bore.

The issue with viewing it that way was that Gohan was barely a focus of the arc until the very fucking end and yet he got all the glory.

And Super Buu at least was a Cell that was aware that other characters would be periodically trying to overpower him and planned accordingly.

>The issue with viewing it that way was that Gohan was barely a focus of the arc until the very fucking end and yet he got all the glory.

Because it was supposed to be a big twist. A swerve. You thought Goku was going to be the hero again, but nope, it's Gohan.

>When I looked back and realized he had literally no motivation after becoming perfect.
He was part Saiyan. Of course he was going to seek out the strongest dude and challenge him.

When he was too perfect to be a villain.

The Buu arc was more about the protags, well mostly Vegeta

Super Buu actually planning and outsmarting his enemies was better than mindless ape Kid Buu going on a rampage for no apparent reason

He was pretty good at building the ring. He could have become an Architect. I'm pretty sure he could have seen more meaning in creating things than destroying them after some time.

post yfw you realized cell is a shitty version of meruem

...

SSJ3 was only possible because Goku essentially had infinite time and stamina in the afterlife as well as a god who'd create equipment for him to his specification.

Granted Vegeta had the gravity chamber but he still needed to eat and sleep while also looking after his shit.

Goku got every advantage. Vegeta got none.

At least till Whis.

When?

>tfw you realise the 7-year period between the Cell games and Buu saga is analogous to the systemic discrepancy in societal privilege experienced by black people in comparison to whites.

When i heard Wakamoto's voice from him.

>playing chest

Meruem was a piece of shit glad that fucker went out in such a faggot ass pussy way he deserved it

When he wasn't freeza.
At least buu had an interesting fighting style and managed to stay creepy for a while longer than cell. Androids had some interesting character and interactions cell was just a shitty composite villain with a lower sayan kill count than any of those other villains and no interesting history/personality.
Everything after freeza was so improvised, lackluster and generally just hot trash, culminating in GT and super.

...

Or you know, find another hobby, just because DB is only about fighting doesn't means there isn't anything else to do.

Did he even know about Cell? It's not like Cell did anything other than kill a few people on this one planet.

...
