DADDY

is it worth reading all 500 chapters of this?

Waited forever for this

And it looks even uglier than usual

Yes. I read like the first 300 something in a day.

Finally!

Now he just needs a use for the shield and the sword and he'll be golden.

I want to see Kanki in a duel with another General this campaign

I can't imagine him ever using the twin swords, but we still have like another 1000 chapters so I guess we'll see.

>tfw i realize that ill never be a concubine of his

Fucking finally

Great chapter. I can't wait to see Ousen in action as the supreme commander
Also I want a good fight for Yotanwa and Kyou Kai

absolutely yes

it came out sooner than I expected, but I have no problems with this. Let's fucking goooo

I wish we had some stats on Bi Hei. he's been with Shin for years so he must have gained at leats some fighting skills

I remember hearing somewhere that Kingdom is going to be around 950 chapters from start to finish. No source for it tho.

The mangaka gave an interview about a month ago, and he wants to aim for a hundred volumes. As for years left, I'm pretty sure he said ten to complete the manga.

I want a fight for him more than stats, I want to see how he deals with some enemies.

Genuine fist pump

>3rd most popular manga in Japan
>Literally no one in the West gives a fuck about it
How is that possible?

Not enough cute girls doing cute things.

>tfw you know the history and can guess what the author's trying to do in this war with Shin wielding Ouki's glaive
Sadistic bastard.

The anime killed a lot of interest in it.

But a lot of people do?

Only Sup Forums doesn't like it because there's no moe garbage in it

What happens? As far as I know shin isnt really in this section of history.

I've waited so long for this

I thought that Shin doesn't get utterly BTFO'd until later?

is very slow moving.
did he ever get with the strategist?

>the strategist?
You mean Ten?

>did he ever get with the strategist?

He hasn't gotten with anybody yet. But judging from history, somebody ends up winning the Shinbowl. Who it is is completely up to the author though.

>All this hype for Shin's glaive
>If it follows history Kyoukai will be the first to be promoted to general and be part of the rematch with Ousen and Yotanwa to finish Zhao after Kanki gets fucked up the ass by Riboku
>Finally able to tie together Sei building a temple for Shiyuu and worshiping him as the god of war

Though I can't see it happening since Shin is main character and it'd be weird for a harem member to get the jump on him even as fitting as it is.

>Not a lot of moe
>It's about chinks and not white people or nips
>Art is basically One Piece style

Ask yourself this, if One Piece was about Ninjas instead of Pirates and Naruto was about Pirates instead of Ninjas, do you think One Piece would be even remotely as popular outside of Japan?

Newfag here, is Kingdom worth reading 500 chapters for?

The art style is a bit dated but the quality is high which I can appreciate

I was under the impression that he will end up with kyoukai and ten.

Qin loses this war after Kanki gets buttfucked by Riboku. Ouki's first war after his return was against Riboku and he lost. Guess what's going to happen to Qin in Shin's first campaign using Ouki's glaive?

Hol up
Shin is actually historical?

I thought he was a OC donut just to give us a third person observer at the Qin rise to power

As far as I know Shin, kyoukai and Sei are all historical, only that kyoukai was actually male historically and there was no romance between the two.

Shin is based off of the Qin general Li Xin. So most of the big events in this manga are already set in stone by real life history. Though there isn't a lot of information so the author has a lot of leeway.

yes

When Sei became King, around chapter 440 I think, Hara said he is at the middle.

They take liberties with his birth, but that's about it and it's already foreshadowed how he gains (or technically regain in meta) his historical background. In history, Shin hasn't actually appeared yet.

Basically Shin will marry or get adopted into You's family, who so far despite being a highborn military family has never ever mentioned their surname, this is likely to keep it a surprise, where the family name is Li (Ri in Japan), which yes, means they are related to Riboku as historically Shin is Riboku's nephew.

Li Xin, Shin's prototype, was a real life general, best known for conquering Yan, fucking up the Chou campaign, and returning in Qi campaign.

The author will fuck with everyone by having Shin get together with that one girl from the city he saved in a side chapter and Sei's wife's friend.

>fucking up the Chou campaign
I thought that he only lost because of Shouhei-kun's betrayal

From what I understand, he was doing pretty well despite being cocky as fuck by asking for far too few soldiers until that

The Royal Harem girl?

noice, I didn't know about all that

Yeah.

>asking for far too few soldier

i could see this leading to the core of the shin unit being wiped

Well it's speculation and not guaranteed, but it's the most likely option at this point. Remember Heki? Everything thought he'd die because that's the main interpretation of the records, and then well, just read the omake and you'll understand.

Basically so long as Hara is clever enough to find holes in the recorded lines, he can spin it any way he wants, but it's clear he's not doing it randomly. The only character with totally unrelated shit I never could connect was Yotanwa being a mountain tribe person.

Hell, even the databook stats are perfectly in line with the historical results, which is pretty amusing. It's about the most accurate databook in all databooks as far as manga is concerned, with like a 1% deviation thanks to MUH WEIGHT.

That would be one way to upset the purity fag applecart.

>The only character with totally unrelated shit I never could connect was Yotanwa being a mountain tribe person.
What about KyouKai being from a clan of female assassins?
Speaking of which, you think she could defeat the likes of Ouki and Renpa 1vs1?

nice spoiler

It's just a matter of taking someone who is undefeated and connecting it to I guess you could say they took Yotanwa in the same way and just used that person as a vessel for the mountain tribes, but either Hara really really liked the idea of a bunch of tribal warriors slaughtering everything in their path or it was because during Kingdom's early days the connection to Duke Mu was all Hara could manage and didn't think very far yet. So I guess in a sense, I was wrong and it's likely that Yotanwa and Kyoukai are designed the same way, gender bending an undefeated general and attaching historical/mythological elements to them to generate greater interest. The difference being one was designed intended to be a waifu, and the other already has a reverse harem therefore the more OP shit belongs to Kyoukai.

That said, it's still pretty fucking impressive how a girl could get 95 strength just from beating down chimps and apes whereas even Kyou was training with Ouki since the start. Who the fuck was even Yotanwa's competition to begin with in the mountains?

How can you spoiler somethingthat hasn't happened yet you dingus

Manga is not a historic accord, it goes way off into fantasy land with the emperor alone

Finally holy shit
You've come so far ;-;

He only got one of Rinko's iirc

He's real, and his descendant in Han is more famous than him.

When will we get an update on Ryofui? If I'm not mistaken he should be already dead at this point in the story

Ah.

I didn't actually know how it went exactly. I bet it'll still be awesome.

Just how big did he screw up that he was forced to abondon Qin?

Well shit time to reread kingdom.

Riboku knows that his weakness is thaking big, risky gambles, I guess he's gonna set up some nice trap for him

Fuck now I have to go back to reading this

Yeah kanki just keeps gambling till he wins. All you need is sufficient bait, and sufficient hardheartedness.

I hope mustachebro gets to join Shin's unit if he's the sole survivor

or Ogiko

As a moefaggot whatever that means even I keep up with every new release for almost a year now. No idea whats up with Sup Forums though.

He just wasn't the emperor buttbuddy like Shin, so he had no choice but to run.

We had constant threads when Turnip Farmers were catching up and putting out like 5-9 chapters per week.

>tfw Han Xin will kill Qin, destroying everything his father has built

That makes no sense. Xin is the given name, not family name. Why the heck do you people keep mentioning this like it's fact?

To begin with, it's more likely that Li Dian of 3 Kingdoms is connected to Li Xin than fucking Han Xin, let alone the entire Li clan that became emperors during the Tang Dynasty, something you can even follow up on with Song of the Long March even if wiki and google are too boring for you.

pls let me have my head-canon pls.

>Song of the Long March

great manga, seriously.

If you want headcanon then Sei being poisoned by mercury will be a scheme of Ousen who will then start another fucking revolt but is suppressed by Shin and it's not recorded because everything goes to shit after Sei dies and people are too busy back stabbing each other to care about leaving history on scrolls.

>tfw "mad emperor" Qin Shi Huangdi is a meme spread by his rivals and he was actually like Hitler, who did nothing wrong really

Chink shit with Jap names.
Honestly I have no clue, but apparently above turns off quite a few people.

I would have thought Chu would get a lot of hype but then I remember Kouyaku the sword fag is related to Kou'en who is the grandfather of Xiang Yu so it's like we already had a glimpse of how they are destined to fail even with Karen. The Kou family is literally a family of jobbers from one dynasty to the next.

Well to be fair, the winners do write history and get to overturn the previous winners if they have the means. I doubt that's the case given how large the scale was for Qin Shi Huang but it's definitely something that's happened on a smaller scope for other people, so the idea itself isn't as outlandish as people make it out to be.

Personally I can't see how the guy just straight up believed mercury was totally fine without some insane hoax by the salesman. Like we're talking ancient chink used car salesman tier here that would put Lu Buwei to shame.

What's his request, fellas?
My money is on Kyoukai being promoted to 5k.

>Literally no one in the West

Have you even looked at any other site aside from Sup Forums? It's not Big 3 but considering Big 3 came out ages before Kingdom that's to be expected. It's definitely more popular than 80% of the shit in the threads on Sup Forums when it comes to plebbit, social media, or reader sites like Kiss.

This is a site where we have a board called Sup Forums and was made to worship moon runes. It's no different than how gook shit are hated here far more than anywhere else on the rest of the internet.

Which is ironic because Turnip Farmers themselves are chinks, so there's no grounds for them to be offended.

I'm guessing that will happen too. I have a feeling Ten is going to die because of Shin's overconfidence. It was foreshadowed that it's her fate if she keeps following Shin.

Educate yourself smartass.

OUUUUUUKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

It's impressive how the author managed to change my opinion of him.

Has there ever been a more atrocious CGI than Kingdom's S1ยก

Now finish the job Shin!

It's pretty funny how Ouki turned out to be such a bro despite looking so villainous.

I don't think so. It legit looked like a PS1 cutscene. Season 2 was a little better in that regards where they regular animation, but it still had plenty of that off putting CG.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

i got a little emotional

I think S1 used it almost all the time while S2 reserved it for battle scenes which made it a bit more tolerable.

Say what you will about the CG, the other parts of the anime were really good. Music, direction and VA's were on point. (Motherfuckin' Jun Fukuyama as Ei Sei.)
If they got out an S3 and Jun voiced this scene, I'd loop that shit for days.

Animated Coalition War Arc would be a dream come true.

I hope this war that is about to start reaches similar levels of hype.

Fuck.

>Shin got his glaive back in chapter 172
How many years ago was this for the japs?

Yeah, S2 tried to stick with 2D for the non battle stuff. I think the CG is what turned off so many people from the anime.

The the anime had a 2D look throughout both seasons, I think it would have been more popular.

I agree wholeheartedly. I got used to the CG early on and enjoyed the whole ride. Ouki's death made me tear up.

I've read kingdom 4 times and the whole of Sai still gives me chills

10 year anniversary was about 450 I think.
So maybe 7 years ago?

Kingdom has a lot of hype inducing fights but nothing gets me more hard than that chapter.

Absolutely. It's the only manga I helplessly wait every week to read. It never stops being good.

He did it... after all those years.
It's beautiful.

Are you sure? Check mangafox, a good checker to see what normalfags read, and it's ranked 23 in the most read monthly. That's rather high.
