Sakugafags are cancer.

:)

Don't, call, sakugafags, please, we already will have to deal with some hardcore yurifags, that's more than enough.

>Harry Potter: mean girls: the Anime
>full of sakuga
>Anime with ninjas full of fights that could have beautiful choreography
>literally a slideshow
Trigger was a mistake.

I WANNA FUCK THE FLIP!

>sakuga in TV series
you wish

>He hasn't seen Flip Flappers

Will we have sakuga of her ass?

Back to your containment threads.

The free government money and the Kickstarter bucks have all run out. The TV series might have some nice painterly backgrounds but the actual animation is going to be Hannah Barbera-tier.

I'm only interested if it's yuri.

>sakugafags

ABORT ABORT

I think Flip Flappers has proven that sakuga - the anime is not a viable approach to making a good anime.

Is that... real? Why does the diversity of the faceless bloggers reporting on the work of others halfway across the world even matter? Like, that's not an achievement for your gender.

Whatever, stop distracting me from the topic of the thread.

I'm surprised Kou Yoshinari will have some animation in this, I wonder what it'll be...

I hope it's not fire. He's done a lot of fire lately and it always looks like a half-assed videogame particle effect rather than something impressive. It's disappointing.

Actually now that I think about it, there were drawings by Yoh on Koh's doujin circle's twitter not so long ago, maybe that was a sign. I don't think they've collaborated since White Album.

Flip Flappers having good animation has no bearing on its clusterfuck of a narrative, it's proven nothing

It's not like LWA's story was ever its strong point.

...

It's going to be half sakuga and half slideshow like KLK was. Which is fine, Trigger's good at finding a reasonable balance.

>He's done a lot of fire lately and it always looks like a half-assed videogame particle effect rather than something impressive.
That's been Kou's approach to effects animation for a long time.

>reasonable balance
>KLK
Not with the CG action scenes and moving cutouts, no.

So are we expecting to be slice of life or will this ultimately be a set up for LWA 3?

somehow I expect Yoshinari to refuse to do any of that

I don't mind seeing more of this. It's the prettiest part of the movie.

LWA2 commentary:

>Will there be another episode of LWA?
>We can't say yes, but maybe with the support of fans we can.
>We personally feel we want to make LWA an ongoing series

>If we do a sequel, do you want a single episode or a TV series?

>TLER: There's support for both TV series and OVAs
>TLER: I think we need to do both
>Oh boy. We'll do our best.

>If I had twenty or so more minutes (50 minute run time of episode 2) I might be able to something more adventurous, like Akko saving the world!
>But it's all up to MP! (Mana points) Money

>We do have an epic story waiting that we had in mind for this episode which we didn't end up using.
>If we do get the money, we'd love to do it.

>Are there wizards?
>If we have a sequel, we'd like to introduce a male magic user but I can't make that decision on my own, so hopefully.
>One of the original scripts, longer ones, featured a male magician who possibly falls in love with Akko but we didn't go with that. Obviously.

>Are there evil witches?
>We do have an idea.

>What do you want the next story to be? Can we get a focus story on Diana and Chariot?
>If we get a chance, we'd like to cover their story.

>What do you want the next story to be?
>I'd like it to focus on Akko's school life, but I'd also like to tackle bigger issues and problems.

>Do they have a preference?
>A single feature is more work, but is also far superior to a TV series in animation.

>Could they do Inferno Cop style LWA shorts?
>I don't have the talent or the ability to do Inferno Cop style, so I'll have to ask Amemiya, to do more of those in the future.
>Inferno Cop is made with EXTREMELY high skill level animation and I believe only Amemiya can produce such animation.
>He's a difficult person, and to persuade him to make LWA shorts would be quite a task.
>So hopefully in the near future!

That's great, but that isn't Kou's work.

Even if it's sakuga (which it won't be cause Trigger) won't save it from being mediocre like the two previous LWA storywise

It isn't? I heard people were buzzing about Kou doing the best scene in the movie. This isn't it?

The webm shows Gen'ichirou Abe's work. Kou did the parts with Araragi catching fire by the scaffolding right up to Shinobu leaping outside and having to drag him back to the car park.

Were there any other notable observations from the prescreening besides it looked good for the 3 episodes they showed and LWA gonna be 2 cour?

It's 25 episodes long

Partial episode staff list

>It's 25 episodes long
Oh, boy.

Get ready for catastrophe. I don't know why they'd stretch themselves thin like that, even if there is going to be a break between cours...

>lavish animation is LWA's signature
>I know, let's dilute our efforts as much as possible!

>they go full trainwreck half of the show just like they did with KLK
What would be the twist?

Susy is frequently a victim of sexual molestation by her mother.

>sakuga
>trigger TV anime

If you mean 3 frames per second animation and characters lazily sliding in and out of shots, then yeah

This anatomy.

We can only hope it's a real hardcore all hands on deck sort of scenario.

In another thread someone mentioned Yoshinari admiring KyoAni. What if they try to compete with their level of quality? Sushio likes KyoAni too, also Satoshi Yamaguchi if he's involved. And Toshifumi Akai. Do we know if Nishigori is on board? He sucessfully co directed Idolmaster with an ex-KyoAni alum...

>implying this is a bad thing

>25 episodes

It's going to be shit in the second half just like KLK. I swear KLK was going amazingly until they hit episode 13:

>set up the general setting in the first episodes
>get Ryuuko and Satsuki to clash
>set up the Elite 4
>battle the Elite 4
>introduce the big bad and her right hand (Nui)
>chance for Ryuuko to get some character development and get Senketsu an upgrade
>nope fuck that just have her instantly recover and Senketsu doesn't get a new design after being put back together
>plot goes to shit with it being the same goddamn crap over again (fight the Elite 4), except this time there's the asspull aliens explanation

All I wanted was to have Satsuki continue on her conquest to beat everyone, only to be betrayed by Best Mom, causing her to form a shaky alliance with Ryuuko to get her throne back from mommy. All without any sort of shitty alien twist.

she gets it from her mom

Imaishi isn't directing this

>or Occultic;Nine
>just this season

>Inferno Cop is made with EXTREMELY high skill level animation and I believe only Amemiya can produce such animation.
top tier jap bants

sure but
>implying that this is sakuga
