Yuri subtext is still yuri, and something being subtext doesn't mean that is not canon, it just means that is not directly stated.

That said, the yuri in this series is something secondary, normally you would call an anime a "yuri series" if its plot revolves around the yuri itself. Also the romantic nature of the girls' feelings are only (heavily) implied until this point, so probably it doesn't classify as subtext if you take the word by its correct definition.

The sparkles still bug me, but I can't see any terrific/easy way of lining them up given how that shot is put together.

I'm bothered that Izetta is using her right hand to hold Fine and the left to steer. Should be the opposite.

Those stars in the bottom right corner look like shit. The cloning work is way to obvious.

The manga is way better. The kiss is shown clearly, and they do it in front of everyone. Besides, in the OVA they keep saying they're friends in that scene; in the manga they don't say that, so it's obvious they're more than friends.

It was pretty badass when Tomeo ripped off red the ribbon she gave to Nagisa, and pushed her forward. Cool ass symbolism.
