They really drove home the Eva references in this episode

Full Metal Panic 11.

It was even Shinji's voice actor playing the Shinji character.

Funny you should mention Eva, part of the afterword for Volume 7
>Umm. Things have developed rapidly.
>Nowadays, this kind of story seems to be called a “depressing development”, but I don’t really like those words. It’s just serious, not really depressing. So everyone isn’t giving up.
>Since developments where the hero of the story secludes himself in a shell without doing anything, is hesitant and worries all the time are called “deep stories”, I wonder how long they could last. It will be 10 years soon (gazes far off).
>Sousuke is not that kind of hero.
>He worries, but he moves. Decisively.

The behemoth ark was awesome

Btw, that whole voiced by Shinjis VA was only in the dub, right?

Wait is this the second season

First

>a woman (Shinji's VA) voiced Sousuke
Get your facts right, faggot.

Yeah. Probably. I didn't watch the sub though so I'm just guessing.

Not talking about susakewhatever, there's this kid, brother to that commander submarine girl or whatever, and he pilots robots but then he gets spooked by a shake and has to get ordered into the robot, just watch the episode dummy and you'll see what I mean.

Sorry, I don't watch dubbed shit.

Then watch it subbed, genius.

>watching a dub
Never.

>they really drove home the Eva references
How can there be an Evangelion reference other than suffering mecha pilot thing if the original voice actors are not the same?

Well, at first the kid gives a speech and it's pretty obvious that he's just describing himself as the opposite of Shinji. And then the ground quakes and some shit happens, and he falls to his knees and starts acting like Shinji and a girl has to order him into the robot and even says that he mustn't run away. Also there's sync ratios.

It'd be obvious if you just watched the scene, rather than me trying to recite the screenplay from memory.

You're pretty fuzzy on the details. The guy you call a Shinji parallel was a terrorist and he's the only one able to sync up with the Behemoth. He has to be loaded up on drugs to be able to do it and was almost convinced he should give up on terrorism by the good guys until his older sister (a terrorist herself) convinces him.

Thank goodness he gets shit done. Well, aside from saving Nami. ;_;

2017 will be the year of tertiaries.

It's true. I don't pay that much attention. I couldn't tell you the characters names aside from that purple haired guy, or why they are fighting the war or whatever they are doing.

FMP got a new show?

FMP, FMP:F; FMP:TSR.
FMP3 on the works or something.

>Eva invented generic mecha trope #387
