>mecha anime

>flop
Mecha anime are designed to sell toys, and model kits.

>thinking disk sales on mecha matter

Literally glorified toy commercials.

>He thinks Sunrise doesn't LITERALLY PRINT MONEY from Mecha, especially Gundam shows, and Gunpla Build Fighters above all

TOP KEK

It's the lack of people in the industry who could make such anime.

Animating mecha is so popular because you don't need any mechanical animation skills but you just need to apply the same set of animation rules like for you human animation.

Didn't GuP models sold well too?

GuP is shit
Only retards could enjoy that

>mecha anime
>flop

>you don't need any mechanical animation skills
They don't need them for 3DCG tanks either.
They hire consultant.

this
Without cute girls GuP would flop as fuck

It's a nice watch.
The threads were great before waifushitters.

Why don't Japan like tanks anyway?

They never learned to make them. I mean have you seen the tin cans they used in the war?

What exactly you expect them to do? GuP is a sports anime so more straightforward SoL with girl commuting to school in a tank?

the type 74 is pretty cute you cockmongling faggot

Realistic war anime?

Much better than aging abrams.

I think he mean ww II tanks

They don't literally print money from mecha you illiterate mongoloid.

Then where's the idea of a single giant robots win the war come from?

They're still making more GUP and it's hard to compete against it in its highly specific niche.

...

Only Gundam really does. And even then half of Gundam revenue is not plastic.

And you know that bishojo figs make much more money than Gunpla right?

This whole "mecha only needs to sell toys" crap is a meme.

Bandai gets those money you fucking idiot.

And even for them it's not the best moneymaker.

Except that's what literally built the genre in the 70s and 80s and mecha now is nowhere near as popular as it was then, which makes OP's point pretty moot.

Sure you've got otaku aimed mecha shows that don't rely on plamo and subsequently flop, but most otaku anime flop, so there's no point in OP singling out mecha shows.

This. Tank battle is so much fun than most mecha battle.

In top 20 anime of this decade there is 0 mecha. Pretty much every other genre is there.

90% of mecha is just typical shonen shit with screaming teenagers
