On a more general note, people only watch Shaft shows for wacky animation styles and gag humor. 3GnL has Shinbou toning down his dopey visual knacks and isn't a gag humor series, simple as. The source material frankly suits KyoAni more (studio fanboys will never admit this, of course)

To be fair, the pacing of the anime is absolute crap. They could have easily adapted 3 chapters per episode, but instead we only get 2.

It's the opposite, actually.

It's a real shame 3gatsu got the Shaft treatment.
The manga is a masterpiece, in a complete different league to Kyoani's inane teenage melodrama, but Shaft utterly raped it.

3gatsu is actually good though, unlike hibikek
