Did you like it? What other shojo and josei do you like?

Did you like it? What other shojo and josei do you like?

is the manga worth reading?

Yes.
Yes the manga is worth reading, though it hasn't ended and has been on hiatus for years.
It's literally the only shoujo I like because it's the only one I have found with main characters that don't make me want to rip my hair out. Hachi and Nana are actually a breath of fresh air, every other female shoujo protagonist is the same fucking character with slightly different quirks. Plus, it portrays unhealthy relationships for what they are instead of glorying abusive assholes like 90% of other shoujo manga.

Basically, it's a shoujo manga for someone who fucking hates shoujo.

Yeah, Hachi's forst breakup because of fhe cheating guy is probably the most realistic depiction of cheating ive ever seen. Tfw falling in love with someone else but dont want to break your lovers heart

>Ai Yazawa will never finish Nana but will continue to string us along by releasing art every year

This is by far my favorite CLAMP work. Mostly because of the morals it gives.
I haven't seen or read Nana though.

I liked the anime and the manga, but I regret reading it because it will never be finished. I wish Yazawa would just fucking come out and say she's not going to finish it, it's pretty shitty to just keep people waiting for years.

I liked it a lot, and it's by far my favourite.
No other series could ever give me the strange feels as NANA did. On one hand I loved it, but on the other it left me very heartbroken. I still feel like crying when I remember all those feels I had years ago.

I usually don't watch shoujo, i really liked Sakura Cardcaptor when i was a kid.

This week i started pic related, around 10 episodes in, really really digging it so far.

I don't think this is a shojo.

I refuse to watch it or read it because it won't have an ending.

If you're liking Utena and CCS then you'll probably enjoy the big hits in the shoujo genre. It's just a matter of finding out what your tastes are (the 3 ep test usually does the trick).

I'm not usually into anime with heavy romance themes, but I love Ore Monogatari.

UMIBOZU

This!! I just finished the series and I never want to let it go.

We have similar taste, turns out I really like the older popular shoujo like Glass Mask in addition to Ikuhara's other stuff.

Utena is seinen and shoujo ai

I thought this series was a shoujo at first.

What is the difference between a shoujo (ai), josei, and etc.?

GOAT

Josei is like adult shoujo.

>shoujo (ai)
ai at least is for girls loving other girls, it's not as hard as Yuri though. No sex or anything. Usually it's more implied than anything.

Someone correct me if I'm mistaken, but I think the difference between shoujo and josei is that shoujo is made primarily for young girls and josei is made primarily for for older women.

Shounen
Shounen-ai
Seinen

That makes more sense, thank you. I guess the biggest difference is the age of the female viewer?

They're pretty arbitrary distinctions. Soujo ai is probably the only one you'd want to take into serious consideration.

and then shes gonna go and croak and then we'll be fucked

>the married man that fucked me at high school will surely stay with me!

Better Haruhi.

Michiko to Hatchin

Pretty sure it's all demographics, but directed by a woman so whatever

Also death-jazz soundtrack is fucking amazing, this is the successor to samurai champloo we deserved, not shitty space dandy

>delicious brown gyaru type
picked up

Haruhi is CUUUUUUUUUUTE!

CUUUTE!!!

Where do you get these Calendars?

>mfw this series author's biography is one of the best shit I ever read

I also cried like a bitch. Fuck this is too good for an autobiography

Forgot pic

slight correction
first of, shoujo-ai is not a demographic(unlike josei) but a genre. What you are thinking of is plain "shoujo"
Also, shoujo-ai technically doesn't exist. Shonen-ai does, but for girls loving girls there is the universal term yuri. Shoujo-ai was invented by the west to differentiate between soft and hardcare gay stuff, but since it's technically not a japanese term and even shonen-ai is not being used anymore, it has been pretty much entirely replaced by "yuri"
