It's a good analysis, but I think it's a bit off to say 'feminist' (slightly too narrow to describe everything the post covers, but a convenient word anyway) ideas were the disease rather than a symptom. To me it seems these ideas were part of the wider movement towards egalitarianism and universal suffrage.
