Should I watch Brotherhood?

Should I watch Brotherhood?

if you want more background info on why the main party are friends then yes, it ultimately makes the final game far more tragic in retrospect.

its not as important as the much shittier kingsglaive though so its not really needed for the story.

>Doing anything FFXV related
What cancer,

Watch 2003 first, it's better imo.

Sure, if you want to watch fujoshit garbage.

Nice one

best FF since 9. the plot gets kind of messy before you realize the whole nifleheim conflict was a red herring to the actual plot of stopping ardyn that was in your face the whole game without knowing it. That and the main 4 characters are probably the most human characters in jrpgs.

It's one of the most comfy anime ever made.
Only bad thing is that it doesn't feature chocobo,

First when i saw main cast, i trought it's going to be tragedy. All-guys party, looking like Jpop band. But not it's one of best parties in whole series (yeah, one from 9 is also great).

Too bad too much happened off-screen and we have to wait for Season Pass DLCs to fill some blanks

It was pretty mediocre. Nothing really happens. The only decent one was the ignis episode. I guess if you like the characters it's worth watching though.

...

It's probably the best vidya adaptation around, so yes. But Christ, watching Noctis progress from his early Brotherhood days to the end of FFXV fucking hurts.

>tfw no chocobos for Noctis to hug

Slap Noctis butt.

Watch 2003 up until the the point it begins doing anime original stuff, then switch to brotherhood.
Then go back to 2003 and lose your mind over the difference in direction

Watch both Kingsglaive AND Brotherhood. It's basically required watching if you want to understand/care about anything when you play.

Would anyone mind telling me how accurate it is to the game?

What I mean to say is- Does Prompto eat shit every time they get in a fight?

Why can't the Japanese just give us a happy ending for a change?

He's pretty shit at the beginning and obviously the weakest party member by far, but his support skills can be OK eventually if you learn how to use them. Overall, their gameplay strength goes as follows:
1. Noctis (obviously) - can warp for days, nuke small armies with magic, and summon
2. Ignis - basically Red Mage, not that great by himself, but his skills shine with Noctis around
3. Gladio - tank and can hit hard with physicals
4. Prompto - support

Shoot, came here to make this joke.

Most JRPGs end happily, though. Only a small handful has ended on a truly depressing note.

Top fucking kek

In this case, there was literally no way it could've ended happily.

STAND

Of course there was, just have Noctis end up with best girl Iris

>it's better imo
yo is wrong.

Prompto episode is golden. The rest ranges from "meh" to "pretty good."

It's pretty good

Iris is indeed the best girl, but she's been like a little sister to him since they were children. And besides, the Crystal turned him into a dead man walking when he was five. Iris would have had to bury him anyway.

Noct and company deserved better than the bad end they all got.

But Iggy & Co. are still alive, right?

I think they died.

Aren't the story updates free? That's what I remember reading at least

>Tabata
>happy ending
I'm waiting on the PC version of XV, but Type-0 was pretty fucking tragic too

>you will never fall in love as a loli to an older boy who's cock you'll endlessly lust after but could never have because he's already betrothed to another woman

But Kingsglaive was better than the game

...

I had to force myself to stay awake during Kingslaive. The plot, characters, and fights were boring. Brotherhood was more entertaining and meaningful for me although it doesn't tell you anything relevant to the story.

As far that we know.
I wonder what will be different or if we'll get a different ending.

>Does Prompto eat shit every time they get in a fight?
Glad it wasn't just me

They are alive, its a tabata game so if he wanted someone dead they would get it very blatently and on screen. Then fighting demons was just to parallel 10 years prior except as a final goodbye this time.

Fuck i hate that ardyn outright won, well i love it cause he made a damn great villain but it still feels shitty knowing noctis had to give into his plans to stop him.

And I'm still trying to force myself through the mess that is the actual game.

yeah the game feels like an unfinished masterpiece, the amount of things happening off screen was a let down but thankfully the parts of the game it does well really hit home specifically how great chapter 14 was. XV is kind of in the same veign as nier for me where there is just alot to bitch about yet anytime i start getting into the negatives slowly i just start shifting towards all the things i loved about it.

Fucking shame she's not present after the time skip. Woulda killed to see her +10 year design goddamnit.
