Back to whatever cancerous board you came from.

Sorry I have opinions.

>A friend forced me to watched it
Learn 2 English.

If it was average, anime media was more fun. It maybe shit, but average? Fuck no

So it's even worse?

It is a fun anime. Who cares if it sucks as long as it is entertaining?

For suck plot it has really much entertain value

it's fun

check this

k it doesn't exist

4chanx

It's just people spamming one meme

That's the point I think, people only like this show because "XD MEMES"

Its good

THANKS, now I know why people like it.
Is this show just a meme?

with good i mean actually good

a lot of people on Sup Forums watched it together when it was airing. that's really the only reason why. the threads were pretty nuts.

The problem was you were forced to watch it thus making you have high expectations for it.
He technically made the show shit in your eyes. Congrats.

Well, "forced"
It's not like she tied me down or something, she just insisted I do so.

ah, whipped. don't let pussy determine your life.

It's because you forgot to self-insert as Rivalz OP.

The characters, especially the protagonist. Then the ridiculous plot and mecha.

Poor mans LoGH.

In that way it's like Death Note. Most of us were 14 or so when we watched it, around the age when we're too old for cartoons but don't really feel the appeal of AAA movies. Code Geass filled that sweet spot through its sheer scale and tone, which was not only different from cartoons but also most shonen at the time (especially the big three).

Add a decade of nostalgia and rosetinted glasses and voilĂ . I'd be surprised if R3 wasn't a letdown of the same calibre as Berserk 2016. It's a cashgrab, the story has nowhere left to go yet they shit out something new.

I disagree, watching DN nowadays, it does seem pretty silly and edgy, compared to when I watched it as a wee lad. I rewatched CG twice and it was just as impactful.

it good

>it does seem pretty silly and edgy
Rewatching both and that fits CG perfectly. DN is ridiculous because of the autism of the main characters, which makes it fun.

It's an inside joke.

It has multidimensional characters doing exciting shit that at least initially contains a lot of plot twists without feeling artificial and forced. And even in season 2 it finishes strong which makes people forget about stabbing god with DNA bullshit.

Its only real problems are the supernatural world building falling flat, later plot points being more asspully and not set up, and cast inflation making each individual interaction feel less meaningful. If you know of an anime without those problems I'd like to hear about it.

Lelouch carried the show.

Because Lelouch is a good protagonist. Geass is a cool power. Crazy events are fun. Pretty nice ending. Some decent robot fights at times and awesome music.

A lot of people saw it when they were 14, and for a lot of 14 year olds, the quality of an anime is directly proportional to the number of robots in said anime. They then never see another anime, and remember Code Geass as a really good obscure anime because it had a lot of robots.

Madoka.

Biggest anime of the last decade

Because you didn't watch it with Sup Forums on tiny low quality livestreams back in 2006-2008

It's one of my first anime, even if I found better, I still keeping some nostalgia.

What makes you a normie is not your opinion but the fact you are watching it in 2016 for the first time.

>What makes you a normie is not your opinion but
>makes you a normie is not your
>a normie is not
>normie

Code Geass was always garbage. The fact that Naruto gets shat on by Sup Forums when the writing in Code Geass is just as bad is also hilarious.

how do i lost some fat

Code Geass gets hype because people like shows with events on a large scale. Aside from that Lelouch/Zero was great both as a fabulous freedom fighter and a magnificent bastard, which carries the story. It is overrated but at this point there's also some underrating going on so things even out.

Death Note was bigger.
