The New Big Three
What's the one on the left?
I hate that picture of Luffy they reuse, he looks so downsy.
reddit zero
to be this new
Hinata from Haikyuu
Isn't Dragonball still more popular than those three?
DBS isn't running in WSJ, nigga.
It should've be The Big Four.
I mean, what about SnS?
Probably in the west but in japan one piece is king and IIRC kids been playing more volleyball thanks to haikyuu.
IDK bout boku no hero but that shit is popular as fuck as well.
So these are all their 2016 titles from all their magazines right?
One Piece is so much bigger than those other two that it's really kind of misleading to lump them in together as the "Big Three." It suggests that they're in the same weight class. If anything you should start counting from second place and simply call them the "Three Stragglers" or something like that.
>No Ichigo
That's fucked up
Does WSJ just not like Tite kubo or some shit? Did he piss them off at one point?
>tfw none of the new shonen are enjoyable or fun
Bleachfags BTFO
Not anymore, me guess.
Hakyuu I think? I'm really out of touch with these times, I used to be more simple with just Naruto, Bleach and OP around. I thought Shokugeki would have been one of the big 3-4 by now.
>no boruto either
why is one piece still popular but those two dead?
>Haikyuu
Wasn't that SnS?
Haikyuu sells 700k per volume, it may not be wanpiss tier but far ahead of any typical manga
Goku looks so so out of place in these posters. He's like a grandpa (well actually he really is) who is trying to act cool.
One Piece
Haikyuu
Shokugeki no Soma
Boku no Hero Acadamia
Those 4 are WSJ biggest hits right now
Haikyuu sell a lot more than SnS
SnS has been tanking in the rankings recently.
>No Ichigo
>Gon is still there
feels good man
>"new" big 3
>implying the big 3 isn't just an historic label
Ichigo is still there though.
You see that snot under Naruto's nose? That's Chigo.
Stop this meme
Why is Phoenix Wright in WSJ?
Not a meme, because it's the truth.
>Soma
Not with recent rankings
Kubo must be in very bad terms with the executives if Ichigo is not there
Bleach ended, all the series on there are ongoing
inb4 what about Naruto, Kochikame, Toriko, AssClass, KnB, Prince of Tennis, DBZ, Nube sensei
all theses series either have ongoing anime or ongoing spinoff or ongoing sequel (Toriko spinoff ends Dec 31)
Sales wise it still pushes 400k
Read
2 novels and a live action, not the best, but it's still something
Can we talk about Beet at the top right tho
I don't think many realize just how much Haikyuu sells. It was even selling more than Naruto when it was still running.
It pretty much absorb the Kuroko no Basket Fujo audience when that series ended and exploded in popularity once it anime came out.
>Naruto
>no Ichigo
So is Ichigo just not on this picture at all?
>>I don't think many realize just how much Haikyuu sells
Well that's probably because nobody on Sup Forums actually reads it.
I've been saying how popular it is for months. I was honestly wondering how anybody thought Nigga Clover was more popular than it
>four Dragon Ball characters
>no ichigo
Light novel =/=anime and manga
Live action =/= anime and manga
you should know, Shueisha prints its light novel under J-Books brand not under Jump Comics brand like their shonen anime and manga
Luffy and Yuya appear twice
...
Naruto anime is ongoing
Boruto manga is ongoing
Sasuke chibi manga is ongoing
Dragon Ball Super is ongoing
Dragon Ball Chibi manga is ongoing
Dragon Ball Heroes is ongoing
Trunks Dark Spirit Mission is ongoing
yeah, but the point of that poster is to shill
Then why's Toriko there?
One Piece is ongoing
One Piece Party manga is ongoing
Yugioh Arc V is ongoing
Yugioh Arc V chibi manga is ongoing
shill manga
Toriko chibi spinoff have not ended yet, it will end in new year eve Dec 31
That World End manga with the FeMC about aliens that replace humans is still ongoing? Huh.
Also Boruto anime is confirmed as far as I'm concerned, fuck that shit.
I know the Boku no Hero greatness but who the fuck are the other two?
There will never be another big three again. The anime craze in the west that was present in the 2000s isnt what it used to be.
The big three will forever be
Onepiece
Bleach
Naruto
Stop trying to force a new big three
>rankings
stop this meme
honestly this, i mean, this term is mostly western, all came at the right time, long anime is dying already and i don't see other big anime boom in the future, and the only one left is the weakest in terms of western popularity
>It was even selling more than Naruto when it was still running.
No it wasn't. Its boost didn't happen until the anime premiered which was the same year Naruto ended.
It's the New Big Three. Get over it.
If it weren't for Togashi's health, pic related would be up there, too.
>health
>Health
>Implying he's not being a lazy nigger playing Dragon Quest
>no Burichi
Jump really hates Kubo.
>nigga clover prominent right behind and aiming for boku no pico academy's spot
I see you Shonen Jump
Don't undermine chronic back pain.
WSJ people are probably Ichirukis like many nippon fans so they are still butthurt over Kubo's last Fuck You.
its hard to say its an outdated term when the graphic designers at jump always seem to gravitate towards making 3 series much bigger than the others in group compositions
theres a resurgence right now, bunch of new fans are coming in through the new gateway shit, onepunch man and attack on titan
What is it about Togashi that so many people think he's lying about his health? Oda and the World Trigger guy don't get nearly as many accusations.
What the hell kind of health issues make a guy go a full two years without working? Oda takes one-week breaks from time to time, that's understandable (but probably also bullshit).
Because there's nothing to accuse them for unlike Togashi.
Does someone have comparison figures between the peak of WSJ combo vs now?
Ongoing manga that are printed under Jump Comics label and not in the pic:
Captain Tsubasa
Kinnikuman
Rurouni Kenshin: Hakkido arc
JoJolion
One Punch Man
Otoko Zaka
you don't hear their fans complaining like a certain crybabies fandom
Onepunch Man shouldn't be in that list, it was never in WSJ.
reread that post
When I played football in highschool one of my teammates hurt his back in a car accident and was out for the rest of the season
5 years later he's still not allowed by doctors to practice any type of physical sport or else he might get paralyzed
so?
I know.
It's printed under Jump Comics label unlike the rest of seinen stuff that are printed under Young Jump label
you can google its volumes and check for the label yourself
back injuries are dangerous as fuck dude
Isn't that Ichigo's son?
Oh, that's weird. Don't D.Gray-Man and To-Love-Ru have that label as well? or are those in the pic and I'm just going blind?
One Piece is the best selling manga of all time
Yes but for sitting still and drawing?
If you're that crippled just retire and collect disability benefits.
Allen near Luffy's right eyes
Momo under Boruto
leaning on a desk for a long time is very bad for your back
I thought this was common knowledge?
Whether you or anyone else wants to admit it, Bleach was a big fucking thing for many years and helped WSJ alongside One piece and Naruto.
90 Million copies sold worldwide, I think it deserves to be acknowledged just a bit.
And this is coming from someone who hated Bleach after the SS Arc
Then you just eat vicodin enough to dull the pain, you dont need the back to do anything special.
Hold on, Tanoshii Ping Pong is from the Jump? Then a next saeson is not such a crazy idea.
It was a big deal, but I don't think it "helped WSJ" as much as you think.
Bleach just happened to be there when manga got a huge fucking boom outside of Japan, so it's worldwide popularity exploded. In Japan, where WSJ actually sells, it doesn't even compare to OP, Naruto or HxH, which should be the real big 3.
there's a manga that is a comicalization of the games in V Jump
Digimon and Dragon Quest and Monster Strike and Machi koro games are in pic too
What part of only ongoing you don't get?
>helped WSJ alongside One piece and Naruto
An oxymoron, with those two, WSJ didn't really need Bleach's help, all it did was add to their riches.
Is haikyuu really that popular? I thought kids would stay away with that yaoi pandering.
Suppose it appeals to same crowd as eyeshield 21
why is one piece still a thing?
It's like Psycho Pass and Qualidea Code
the manga adapt the anime not the other way around
I mean I enjoy it, I'm just really surprised it's this popular.
haikyu broke the 1 million sales per volume ceiling this year. It took an entire year to do so its not as impressive as naruto, but that still puts it in the top 1% of manga to ever exist.
I forgot to Taiyou no Makibaoh, it's still ongoing
but I guess no one on Sup Forums ever heard of it
I mean even if you hate it, it's popular. Just rationalize it as Jump milking their fattest cow.
>responding to an obvious bait
why user....
OP seems to break some rules of good cartoons/stories. Too many characters, too busy pages, too much nonsense dialogue.
Eh?
