There are dead bodies only on the boat in some cases.

Free boats, though. So that's cool

This is the Japanese we're talking about so they get free meat too.

Are there many North Korean defectors in Japan?

maybe they tried to flee from nk to japan and their boat got damaged leaving them adrift for weeks ?

the fact that there was no fishing equipment found is strange if this woul dbe a fishing boat unless nk's are literally too poor to have more than one net on board.

another theory would be that nk simply killed a couple of dissidents , put them on the boat and let it float into japanese waters in the hope of manufacturing some sort of political incident that they can use as justification for hostile actions or purely for propaganda reasons.

They say they want to go back to North Korea or go to South Korea as exile

But they are Korean I guess. So no meat.

15 boats of North Korea were found In this month.

Korean People's Navy probably killing defectors or pirates

do they even have a navy?

Why do they flee to japan instead of south korea?

largest sub fleet in the world.
Largest reserve army.
largest special forces.
Americans are the ones fed lies.

>The vast majority of the KPN fleet consists of gunboats, with 80 percent likely under two hundred tons. These ships mostly mount heavy machine guns and light cannon, with the largest armament eighty-five-millimeter guns on turrets taken from obsolete T-34/85 tanks. Some boats are equipped with 122-millimeter multiple rocket launchers that are inaccurate against other ships and are likely meant to support amphibious landings. Still others are equipped with deck mounted torpedoes. Fire control is limited to primitive optical systems, radar is rudimentary and likely limited to navigational radar, and the ships themselves are too small to pose a credible threat to the U.S. Navy. As Bermudez writes, “the majority of these vessels are limited to calm seas and operating within 50 nautical miles of the coast.”

basically a carrier will be untouchable to most of their navy but god help you if you attempt a naval landing

the important thing: they have something like 80 submarines. an old diesel submarine may not sound like much, but it is capable of successfully attacking anything smaller than a carrier group. maybe even the carrier group if they attack en masse.

holy shit that's a serious navy
>no aircraft carriers

nevermind, carry on.

thats certainly more substantial than i imagined .

yeah i just googled a bit about those subs ... glorious diesel boats that are pretty much worse then german ww2 subs in terms of range speed and crush depth but apparently they do carry missiles.

where are the oars?

>will be untouchable to most of their navy but god help you if you attempt a naval landing

as far as subs go a halfway modern hunter killer sub with decent torps could probably sink half of their fleet in a single engagement . their subs are NOT fit for sub vs sub warfare against anybody who uses post ww2 tech.

>thats certainly more substantial than i imagined .

Greater armies have been destroyed many times before...

they have a different doctrine. they have no need for power projection.

>glorious diesel boats that are pretty much worse then german ww2 subs in terms of range speed and crush depth but apparently they do carry missiles.

>The brief but bloody naval war that occurred in 1982 over the Falkland Islands, known as the Malvinas in Argentina, is typically viewed as a triumph of British naval power. A Royal Navy task force managed to beat off heavy air attacks to take back the South Atlantic archipelago from Argentine troops.
>For most of the war, a lone Argentine diesel submarine, the San Luis, opposed the Royal Navy at sea. Not only did the San Luis return home unscratched by the more than two hundred antisubmarine munitions fired by British warships and helicopter, but it twice ambushed antisubmarine frigates. Had the weapons functioned as intended, the British victory might have been bought at a much higher cost.
>Moreover, the San Luis was in terrible condition and had to undergo rapid, incomplete repairs. Its snorkel was leaky, its bilge pumps were malfunctioning and one of the four diesel engines was not operational. Divers spent almost an entire week trying to clean crustaceans from the San Luis’s hull and propeller, which were impeding the vessel’s speed and stealth.

don't write the subs off.

I'm not sure the reason.
Police is at near the South?

to eat sushi in Japan

Jewgle?
They are mostly mini subs just like Iran that attach under cargo liners,
cant detect them.
those old soviet Ak-47's are no match for a new SK Daewoo K2.
Oh that old soviet garbage wont work. nevermind their eyeball blinding laser weapons. Or the FOBs put in orbit 2012 that circles the USA every 93 minutes.
Its just old Soviet technology.
Try diesel-electric dumb ass.

i dont underestimate subs , they are certainly a threat to most surface vessels . on the other hand a diesel boat that can barely travel at 10 knots submerged has very little chances against modern equivalents left alone nuclear subs that can run circles around them and even outrun older torpedos .i guess the real effectiveness of those boats depends on the crews .

Yeah but when you cannot project power, you are immediately on the defensive against those that can.

A naval war US vs NK would be laughably one sided, precisely because just 2 carrier groups could smash that entire flotilla in one engagement.

Fuck that’s like half the fleet. They could probably take care of Kim by doing this alone.

North Korea is actaully a CIA project. The millions of North Koreans do not exist. They have actors and they have slaves. These dead bodies may simply be those the CIA had finished their experiments on and sending them out like this will perpetuate the myth of North Korea.

Kim plans to get hundreds of mini subs under liners to Vancouver BC.
They will take large hostage businesses in seattle.
Get paid a few billion. each mini sub can hold 80 Norks.
They only take headshots with those old antique milled AK's.

that doesn't really matter. look at the falklands war. that submarine didn't escape unscathed because of it's technological superiority, it escaped unscathed because the british were terrified of submarines and freaked out whenever they spotted sonar contacts.

>Yeah but when you cannot project power, you are immediately on the defensive against those that can.
the north koreans understand this. their plan is to invade the south, secure the peninsula, and defend the peninsula until the americans give up. the gun boats and submarines may be laughable but they still work for their intended purpose: to prevent any landings.

>precisely because just 2 carrier groups could smash that entire flotilla in one engagement.
there are 20-30 diesel-electric submarines in the water. each of them have multiple torpedoes that could sink one of your smaller ships. they may have nuclear torpedoes which could certainly sink a carrier. any sonar contact you spot may be a submarine coming in for an attack. you do not have enough submarines to protect against all possible contacts. you must stop all attacks.

Bongs put all their shit on one boat.
The Atlantic conveyor.
Argies sank it
sent all those Harriers to the bottom.
bongs lost too much and balls shrank.

Nah we know the people are actually very content and nice people. Would be a shame if even one of them were killed to deal with Kim.

Shit must be getting even more desperate over there.

Shit, thats a swimming wooden A Bomb,.....
