Royals and religion lost to banking

((( )))

You mean virtuous whites lost to Satanic Jews

Very tacky: is that an American's interpretation of European architecture???

People stopped caring about the virtues that built them. In many cases, it's considered moral to pervert them with modern works.

>Imagine the boot of progress stepping on tradition, for eternity

need for quick rebuilding after ww2

Looks like a cancerous growth

Cultural Marxism

i had this comment typed out word for word before i read yours...

Jews took over.

It got pozzed. Just like art. Just like videogames are getting pozzed now.

But everyone wants to be a BLM/Antifa/CPUSA hero!
Kill whitey!

all anybody cares anymore is maximizing returns on investment. there's no ROI on nice architecture. you should see the shit they are putting up in Manhattan these days. concrete and glass, that's it.

this isn't real is it? tell me it's not real britbong.

In a lot of ways it truly is. This building has been a museum for 200 years, and when it was renovated with that addition, it was turned into a military history museum designed to instill German guilt rather than pride.

"By 2001, feelings regarding the museum had shifted and an architectural competition was held for an extension which would cause visitors to reconsider the way they think about war"

Germany is particularly bad about it. It's not even the worst example - this one's even worse in a way.

It's a completely intentional effort on their part to destroy their culture, and replace it with this shit.

What would be the reason for a traditional castle in 2017?

...

did my graphics card just over-heat?

...

There was no reason for that....thing when it was build.

...

I mean the castle was made irrelevant by long range artillery.
but really disgusting architecture has only been a thing for about 60 years now.
Art deco was the last good era.

That building survived the Dresden fire bombings.

But it didn't survive architect (((Daniel Libeskind)))

The Chrysler building should be held as an example to all skyscrapers. The gargoyles are beautiful.

Postmodernism. Decadence. Efficiency versus Aesthetics.

Holy shit it does look like a graphics artifact

And I meant those homely "castles" have nothing to do with defensive castles.
There is no reason for it to look like a castle, other than to look cool and for LARP'ing purposes.

Likewise there is no reason not to make modern buildings that look like that.
If you want a castle just build a freaking castle. - and people still do actually (pic is my country's latest castle still under construction I think, build in an area that was still sea a century ago)
