It's shit.
9/11 just ripped off the veneer of things seeming nice.
Everything's been shit since 1965 in America.

I don't wanna waste my time, become another casualty of society.

Ecstacy was much better back then.

Also, people didn't have a compulsion to require affirmation from absolutely fucking everyone.

I was a little kid. Enjoyed lots of movies that’s about it

american pie 2 was such a good movie, fuck.

they dont even make movies like that anymore

to answer OP's inquiry - sept 11 was demoralizing but nowhere near as bad as 2007-2008, if you ask me that was the real thing that did america in. and how else are we going to explain obama to our kids?

CUZ I'M IN TOO DEEP AND I'M TRYING TO KEEP.

No niggers women or pakis on the internet

1999 was the peak.

good times but the 90's were 100 times better. I feel bad for anybody born in the 2000's that will never experience the simple things like riding your Huffy over to your friends house to see if they can hangout and play cops and robbers and dig holes and shit

Last time games and cartoons were good.

Everything else sucked.

Most people on Sup Forums were not even born then.

i also think the mid 2000s emo subculture was a lot more cohesive, communities and scenes sprang up.

music stopped being communal when mainstream tastes shifted towards electronic music, music you can make alone in a bedroom, rather than music you make with other people.

I unironically prefer 2000s Star Wars (Prequels, Clone Wars, Darkhorse, The Old Republic) to 2010s Disney Star Wars

>tfw casualty of society
>tfw in too deep
>tfw it makes no difference

there's people that prefer it the other way?

The first three songs I learned on the guitar were from this band. I miss being naive about a lot of things. Can't wait to sell you all out when (((they))) figure out how to re-insert me back into the matrix.

>riding your Huffy over to your friends house to see if they can hangout and play cops and robbers and dig holes and shit
Fuck dude. Digging holes. Just digging a fucking hole. Getting a little older, making dirt jumps in the woods as a bmx track. Fishing at the lake. Goddamn.

I thought I was the only one who dug holes for fun as a kid.

I was 20 in 2001. So I've been an adult since then. The 2000s sucked dick for me. We had an idiot neocon as president who only did what the jews told him to do. We got blowed up one time. Then after that, it was just this landslide of cultural decline. That landslide yielded where we are now, which absolutely has to be the bottom. It has to be.

Bush was so bad that it made people vote for a nigger. That nigger ruined things even more, while still obeying the jewish dictates he was handed. Except this time it wasn't just about doing what the jews say, it was also about taking revenge on white people, and more broadly white society. Now there's been blowback from that, and I can only hope we're in recovery.

Why would I look back

I dont want to waste my time...

5 star post nigga

Emo was always absolutely homosexual my dude

Really weird time because of 9/11, but just remnants of the 90s.

nice dubdubs, it might have been gay or full of fags or whatever but a community of faggots is better than no community.

Downloading free music and porn. Everything else was a blur. Oh yeah and engineering school

1. Salival set a great tone.
2. Metroid Prime, San Andreas, and Contra 4 kicked ass.
3. WOODSCREWS
4. Top Gear blew my balls off.
5. Fuck Audi though.
6. Awesome new drugs came onto the market(cathinones HOO-AH!)
7. The psychedelic Renaissance began.
8. Number 8.

That's 2000s in general. Early is too short a time.

most of pol can't vote yet

Shoulda gotten laid.

good music
youtube.com/watch?v=dZLfasMPOU4

I cant remember....to many brain cells sacrificed for carnal pleasures. Tell me about it.sometime.

BRO I wanted to dig a foxhole one time and the faggots I hung out with ditched me. One of the saddest days of my life.

It's gay as fuck but would love to go back

play station 2 and runescape

its crazy the little stuff that you could do in the 90's and have complete fun doing it. I don't think I was bored a single day in my life back then. Me and my brother use to just run around the woods throwing sticks at each other for hours and have the time of our lives

OH! I forgot.
9. How It's Made, Survivorman, Mythbusters.

And of course, Sup Forums.

Abovetopsecret and kazaa.

...

I also did this.

what a bunch of losers

Kys

>digging holes
that was my favorite fucking hobby

Imaginations are THAT badass. It's because as kids, neural pruning hasn't finished, so with all those activated almonds, the imagination and spirit are able to run wild. Once neural pruning dies down, we often need stimulants and psychedelics to recapture that level of almond activating. It's cruel irony that we lose processing power as we gain knowledge and wisdom. But then again, to make learning and doing more energy and time efficient, this pruning is needed.

Sup Forumsacks = molemen confirmed

I did this kinda shit and I was born in 95, I really don't think things like this went away until the smart phone invasion around 2008

roflcopter and soulseek

halcyon days

I got it about knee deep before one of their step-dad's yelled out the window, "YOU DIGGIN TO CHINA?" Then I went home and huffed glue and painted warhammer. Pretty sure they went out and met girls. I think we all know who fared better.

>he can't get those super pure pills from northern europe
do you even darknet bro?

I was high af

I was at war for most of it
Didn't know the jq yet

Definitely. It kinda started with AIM but it was a done deal when smart phones started popping up.
haha that china phrase brought back some memories. I think somebody yelled that at me during every single hole excavation

It was a "blast"

Meh, I had my fun. I like making some serotonin again

Internet and video games where exclusively a whit boys club, so awesome, I really really miss those days.

AIM. Holy shit. And the update that let you send messages even while your away message was up was a game changer.

Trump would have never been president it Obama and Hillary had never happened. but look at how shitty McCain is. Trump really opened Americas eyes to the fact that the last 30 years we had been voting for the same people.

Culturally it's a fake epoch engineered by 30-somethings ripping off they more talented peers.

That shitty music didn't survive its cycle and became obsolete by 2007, while mid-late 80s/early 90s pioneers are still around and influence people.

AIM was the shit! That was like the very first ignore button. I still remember the feeling I would get when that message would pop up from a new person that you didn't have on your buddy list and you would just hope it was the hot chick from class you always wanted to talk to.

OG Top Gear was the best, I remember watching it the first time, I sat on You Tube and watched episodes of it for weeks. A peace of me died when Clarkson was fired, but the BBC will always with out fail shoot its self in the dick.

Also remember when You Tube was awesome and literally anything you wanted to watch was on their, movies, TV shows, everything, it was better then torrenting.

Same. The early 2000s were pretty damn fun for me. Sure, it was probably objectively shit from an adult standpoint (9/11, two wars, etc.) but I used to have so much fun running around the suburb I grew up in, exploring the woods at the end of my street, shooting cans with my Red Ryder in the backyard, etc.

As you said, it was about 2008 when technology became all-pervasive during the smartphone boom.

Also true. Really, the 2000s were just a brief six to eight year gap between the 90s and the 2010s (which really culturally began about 2008). It was really more of a subdued, less fun 90s with the specter of 9/11 hanging heavy over everyone's heads.

pinecone fight/10
would get into trouble with again

The Grand Tour isn't quite up there yet, but it's got great potential.
Season 2 starts soon. I pay for Prime specifically for it.

>pinecones
Ever light them on fire and toss em? Also, dirt bombs.

When I came back to Sup Forums last year, it was a throw back to the early 2000s I forgot about how awful people use to be on the internet with zero repercussions. Being taken out of the kikebook trances was one of the greatest things to happen to me in a very long time. "Don't call that faggot a "fucking faggot" they might call your work place, or tell faceberg."

>smoked weed
>did psychadelics
>had a really hot girlfriend in high school
>had a car
>did a roadtrip across America while sleeping in my car and hiking cool places
>played in a metalcore band in the myspace-era and had retarded scene bitches worshipping me for a couple years

Was a pretty good time, really all went to shit around 2012/2013.

Then shit started getting real.

> when YouTube was awesome

Oh yes. I watched so many old movies my parents wouldn't let me watch that way.

Pinecones were game changers in my neighborhood. Especially those smaller condensed ones that were pretty much golf balls. The first person to throw a pinecone would spark great wars that nobody wanted to actually be apart of because we all knew we were going home fucked up

pinecones = 90's noob tubes

did you ever get emotionally attached to any of those females?

Hey NSA, did you save my ICQ logs? :3

It's sad that I remember doing stupid shit in the woods as a kid growing up and loving every minute of it. Now I barely see kids outside and spend most of my time inside. I wish I could go back to when things were simpler in the 90s

Just the high school gf

Took a couple years to get over her after we broke up

They provide context. All the culture wars being fought today are on the margins. Think of the inane amount of resources dedicated to keeping faggots placated relative to the size of the population. At the time of the 2000s, a degenerate Jewish media was pushing all manner of degenerate propaganda to just as large a participatory-though-reluctant audience, and there were no alternatives back then.

Most of Western Civ has lived in utter revulsion at the degeneracy of the left - even moderates, who are merely more cowardly and diplomatic right-wingers who don't want to offend every hysterical Chosenite.

How about now? Any serious gf/married or anything? On the verge of breaking up with my girlfriend. In my heart, I know it's not right or best for us, but I also miss her terribly when we're split. Any advice for dealing with those sorts of emotions n' shit? Also sorry to hear that it ended for you guys but happy to hear that you successfully got over her.

what band? link to myspace page pls

i want to go back and try again :(

This.
Exploring the woods was my favorite though. We found this old ass cemetery from the 1800's, a homeless encampment with a crazy guy, burnt cars, pornos, and all kinds of crazy shit. Those were that days man. But this was actually the 90's.

i saw a lot of kids outside last summer but only because of Pokemon Go

i miss the lan parties

this guy banged avril lavigne, what a fucking bastard

Good times. People blame 9/11 but for me the country just seemed to go to shit during the recession and then election of the nog.

If you ain't been chased up a tree by a buck in a rut, you ain't met God yet.

With a lot of regret. I was in highschool and then college at 16 in New Jersey. So much time wasted all for drugged out whores and stupid half breed friends. Feels bad man.

Pretty gay and bloated with consumerism and false rebellion. This era is just as shitty and I don't expect things to even get back to 90s era of morality and how to be entertaining and not be a complete degenerate. Not that I am saying the 90s is the pinnacle of American society. It was just the last time it was kind of normal and not a cracked out whore.

Tbh most parents seem paranoid af these days, my parents let me fuck off whenever I wanted to

2001 was fucking awesome for me. I had an entire house to myself all Summer, at 16, no school, no job. Smoking hot girlfriend. We even cleared out one of the rooms in the house and turned it into a grow room. All the weed and pussy I needed.

smart phones and the internet completely killed childhood for the 2000+ generation. It's almost like the younger crowd has about 8-10 years of actual childhood now and then they immediately jump into shoes/clothes/drugs/lil yachty. Compared to most of us who were still running around digging holes and exploring the wilderness for another 5 years.

sage...but i do want a nostalgia trip

don't remember shit about 9/11, i was just a baby...but i remember time in elementary school. Life was blue pilled as fuck, but i never talked to anyone. always excluded from shit caused I honestly wouldn't act like a normal kid at times, so i deserved what i got. one kid did talk to me on occasion even after i reported him for stupid shit since i never thought too well of him. he always sat in the back reading manga (something i didn't know about) and it seemed he got special treatment at times.
after i went back to public school after homeschooling for a little, he was the first one to talk to me. since the isolation got to me my 7th grade, he was the friend i had for a while into the year. i learned how to act more normal (but still worthy of shit talking behind my back...still deserved it), made some other weird friends.

it was my youth i spent in isolation from friends and bonded with my siblings, playing outside more than anything. exploring the woods, internet was slow as hell and not viable. the big thing i look back on now along with it being my youth, was how i didn't know of race realism and shit...heck, even until a few years back, the friend from elementary school (half black, half native. now he is like 6'6")talked about "the whites moving into brooklyn" (he's from new york and moved to the south).....he will always be my best friend despite what i know now...i just miss the simple times and the blue pill....the red pill and black pill are depressing, but you can't go back...

>inb4 nufag
yeah, i've lurked a while. don't mind saging on a clear slide thread by (((them))). it's like a place i can say things that won't matter in the end anyway

It was fun and cool because I was a teenager. Now I just look back and think about how naive and foolish I was.

i was a kid having a blast

Cultureless cesspool. Nothing good came out of that era.
Still, better than today, I suppose.

G4TV, Runescape, Guild wars, Double dash, boy scout back then before it became shit and 9/11.

Don't wanna dox myself cuz I still do music but it isn't metal

It was like technical metalcore/deathcore. Sorta like Veil of Maya/Born of Osiris type stuff. We had a pretty good following in our city.
No I am single with no girlfriend. I had a a gf/fuck-buddy type thing last year but that ended (way too stressful).

My last serious girlfriend was 2 years ago, I thought she might be wife material but really didn't like her after I dated her for a year so I dropped that. Then before her I had another girlfriend who I dated for a year, kinda similar to your situation where I knew we shouldn't be together (she was an atheist liberal asian) but I was attached to her.

Is this your first breakup?

If you are already feeling like you are on the "verge of breaking up" in your head/heart, then it's pretty much over. It's okay, most relationships don't work out.

Best way to do it is just cut the chord and let it go. You might be sad at first, but you will probably also feel free and released from a situation you knew couldn't last forever.

Break up and just get really into yourself ( know that sounds cliche). Being single gives you way more time to focus on your career, education, working out, hobbies, maybe a little bit of traveling.

After I broke up with my last serious girlfriend, I got REALLY into hiking. Just fucking obsessed with seeing new landscapes, and doing a bit of outdoors photography, and also exploring abandoned buildings and stuff. I got so into that, I didn't even give a fuck we were broken up.

>I was born in 95
Fuck dude, I was born in '77. Why in the fuck am I still here?? My oldest daughter was born in 2000. I could literally be your fucking father.

I regret not having enough sex with teenage emo girls when they were out in droves.

-Although Y2k never happened, there was still some optimism that something great would happen, so for the first year, it felt there was still some magic and mystery left in the world.

-Internet was slower, but people were generally smarter and less access to images made people put more thought into text. No "TL;DR" faggotry.

-Political Correctness was already here, but was quieter then. Even in Texas and Tennessee, there were people whining about how Muslims were the 'real victims' and acting like every song was gung-ho patriotism when there were like, maybe 2 from the same artist.

-Freddy got Fingered was the last great American comedy (I'm not even joking), and it was made by a Canadian.

-Superhero movies felt special, less because of quality and more because of what they represented to fans who never thought they'd see their favorite characters on the screen. Nowadays, I wish those dreams had never become reality.

I appreciate this, user. She & I have been serious and broken up a million times before. I guess there's a reason we keep breaking up. All in all though, thanks man. Truly appreciate.
