Rewatching the episode, I really feel like the only bad thing about it was JJ's score because that was a fucking travesty.

Maybe also Viktor's return to skating, but that depends on how it goes from here. If he's shown to be the totally unbeatable monster from before, then yeah, that would be contrived as hell, but seeing him struggle with his career while his age catches up to him could actually be rather cool. Perhaps I'm just addicted to his suffering at this point.

Anyway, seeing how deep their issues run, I'm glad that they didn't kiss. They really need to get on the same page.

Nah, the kiss didn't happen because it would feel out of place in this episode emotionally. They just discovered the extent to which they didn't understand each other. Yuuri also fucked up royally during the Viktor cry scene. (I'm not saying he's Hitler, mind you, but he really spilled his spaghetti there.)
I actually like what they did with them, having them express their emotions through skating, making up in a cute way when it really counted and general closeness but without a kiss. It shows us that they are very much in love, but that their relationship still has a long way to go.

I like the fact that Baldfat ended their relationship as a skater and a coach, but they're still wearing their rings and living together.

Even if the kiss is gonna happen in second season, at least we know they both (I mean Yuuri) see each other as fiancees/lovers/partners.

JJ still used all eight of his jump passes in his SP, he didn't fall or touch down, he still landed a quad, which pretty much puts him on par points-for-points with Phichit's program.

Are you fucking joking? There were multiple moments in which a kiss would've been PERFECT. I was actually on the edge of my seat anticipating them, because the set up was so ideal and it would've felt so natural. Pic related, the silver medal teasing (how can you justify that sort of sexually charged teasing if an innocent kiss would feel 'out of place' emotionally?) and the pair skating could've all had a kiss and been just right.

We just need to admit that we got blue balled. It's not 'baiting' necessarily, they've already gone too far for that, but they took the typical anime route out of avoiding couples getting physical because Japan is retarded. I see hetfags complain about the same thing pretty often, though usually more about sex in harems than kisses, and it's just insultingly infantile writing meant to keep us all hooked and hoping for more.

All the people who think Yuuri has a 'mental illness' are just people who haven't been married to a japanese guy like I was. Yuuri is Japanese, and his attitude is totally common here. In Japanese, there is a saying that totally explains his behavior:

「釣った魚には餌をあげない」

It means that "You don't need to feed the fish you caught'

Yuuri thinking that Victor's face was priceless when he started to cry means that he's conscious of having caught him. Then he gives him the rings, for whatever reason he says it is. But he perfectly knows that for anyone, that would mean much more. He already 'caught' Victor, so he perfectly knows the effect these rings have on him.

He doesn't say 'I love you' because like a 'manly' Japanese guy of few words and who expects you to understand his feeling even when there is only silence, he thinks there is no need for that. The rings are already enough.

His problem is that he is completely forgetting that Victor isn't Japanese, and what he's doing, the way he's behaving, like touching silently his hair when he's crying, ISN'T ENOUGH for 'us'. What he's doing is the reason for SO many divorces between interracial marriage partners with the groom being Japanese. The only way it can work is when the groom is a foreigner, and the woman Japanese, because even after they married their wives, foreigners often still treat them like love interests, saying 'I love you' and displaying signs of affection.

The only solution for Victor and Yuuri to have a chance, is exactly what S2 implied: that they live together. If Victor is patient enough he'll manage to make that japanese ice cube melt. If not, well, I already can see all the drama that is going to ensue, and it's not going to be fun. Or is it? I want Victor to take the matter into his hands and transform the whole apartment into a pig hunting area.

For me this 12th episode was well written for the reason that the public is supposed to be Japanese.

Yeah if they's not doing much about BikeFairy, they might as well let him have some background beef with JJ and nothing more.

BikeFairy manage to get pretty popular despite being late in the show perhaps they'd do something with their potential.

Well it did seem like he felt some kind of increasing anticipation. Maybe he's just motivated to do his best next time after seeing JJ fuck up but not give up, which would be pretty cute.
