Let's discuss. I for one, would be more comfortable with a Jewish family, with the exception of a very religious one. I find that standard assimilated Jews are generally easy to deal with and don't cause any problems as neighbors. It's only the ultra religious ones that can be loud and obnoxious and have big gatherings. Every experience I've had living next to a Muslim family has been terrible. Arabic phone calls at random hours. Loud arguments. Hearing them rush to get ready for their wackadoo prayer hours. Always a pain in the ass living next to them.

I think a lot can be learned from this thread in regard to our perspective. Most Americans (outside of Jew York City) don't often have bad experiences living next to Jews (or any experience at all really). In-fact, the only time I've lived next to Jews was in Jew York, and thank fucking God they were the Westernized, mostly assimilated kind. Because I did have a friend who lived next to Hasidic ones, and they could be extremely smelly and rude. Out in the midwest though, I've had experiences living near two Muslim families. Your observations are correct. They live as if everything around them is garbage. Almost as bad as FOTB Mexicans, minus the barking dogs.

id rather live next to jews. ive only met a few jews and they were all pretty friendly albeit big-nosed weirdo semites. i live near a muslims area and its not uncommon for arab muslims to death-stare you for no reason or spit when you walk past. theyre just delightful neighbours. violent crime rates are high for muslim areas around here. while the jews just commit white collar crime.
