DR3 ruined Junko by making her look more like a victim or circumstance rather than a mastermind.

Still, I liked her goofy moments and I hope Ryoko gets at least a small segment of craziness in the upcoming OVA.

I think the similarity between Ultimate Detective and Analyst is the reason why people here were expecting Kirijunko when DR3 was airing.

Junko coulda been ultimate detective. Hell if the theory that she's Lico/Rei is true she was a world class detective that outclassed kyoko and Yui. Kyoko just got Ultimate detective cause of her family being a detective clan

Theres were tons of reasons. A bunch of anons were pulling for it each week. I just wanted it to happen to see what Naegi would do when faced with the one he loved being a demon's vessel. It also woulda made the parallel to Munakata even better as Munakata didn't know chisa was a despair or for how long she was but Makato would have realized that every interaction he had with Kyoko since Dr2 was Junko playing a sick game which woulda mindfucked and may have broke him.

There were others that pulled for Junko coming back in Chiaki's body to fuck with Hinata and class 77

Just read Umineko, it has the relationship between the MC & the antagonist that you're looking for (atleast for a while) and both characters involved are way more likeable than Makoto & Junko
even if the plot arguably goes tits up at the end (though since you're into DR this should be something you're used to anyway)
