Anyone else become left-wing after initially being right-wing? When I was young and stupid I was a libertarian, then I was a conservative, and now I am a progressive nationalist. The biggest thing that caused me to change was researching the history of my own beloved nation and realising that we were trailblazers for pretty much every progressive, egalitarian policy in existence.

Australia invented the secret ballot, we invented old aged and disabled pensions, we were the first nation on earth to give women both the right to vote and the right to stand for parliament, we had the world's first elected labour party, world's second mandated industrial arbitration system (after New Zealand), free compulsory and secular education, etc.

What made you abandon the right and embrace the left?

When you let yourself be anchored down by either side you limit your potential to learn about the world and truly understand it. I'll watch videos of trans people as well as videos of people who talk about illuminati who say trans people are a baphomet ritual (or however they phrase it) just to give an example.

This cunt has a point.. why pigeon hole yourself

>putting labels on yourself and your beliefs instead of weighing facts and statistics for each issue

You think you're so intelligent typing your post out don't you?

lewd

Absolutely. Ultimately we have to do what works to advance our people, to give them healthy, fulfilling and happy lives.

It just turns out that government plays a big role in making that happen, and that at the base of conservatism is the not the welfare of the many people but the welfare of the few people.

When I was young and stupid I was into extreme politics. Now I'm a libertarian who wants to own a business.

A saying I like is, "We are closer to God when we are asking questions than when we think we have the answers."

God, in this case, being truth. A lot of people on both sides decide they have the answers they need and stop asking questions which means they get no closer to deeper truths.

I think you are pigeonholing yourself. The trick is only to have 1 strong opinion like nationalism, and build everything off of that

How are trans people a baphomet ritual?

Libertarian is extreme though.

I like how you used was, implying that your stupidity is past tense

I went from Communism to Socialist
To NatSoc to Facism to Libertarian.
Now I am a Libertarian and I don't give a fuck about race or politics much.

I'm the opposite, currently.
Double standards (specifically around race and gender) really rustle my jimmies, and the left seems to embrace them more often than the right.
Plus I'm beginning to become more and more jaded towards my fellow man as it's becoming more and more common for my fellow man to want all of my things purely by virtue of him not having the same stuff as I do.
I'm becoming more about individual rights, rather than communal rights.

It doesn't matter what you call yourself. When your country is overrun with foreigners who tend to be Marxist, they will decide for you. But hey, enjoy your dreamworld.

Sort of. All of my "left-wing" opinions are viewed through a Nationalist lens. I love what Australia has, but both Left and Right want to fuck the average Australian over.

Name me ONE (1) thing Labor (not leftists themselves, but THE LEFTIST PARTY of Australia) is actually arguing for on par with any of the shit in your OP, and i'll eat my fucking hat.

I think the governments prioritize the future over the present. They recognize what we're going through will be a challenge for many but see it kind of like birthing pains to create the new age. At any rate, I don't think there is any realistic odds of going back to America in the 50s or whatever view of traditionalism people have.

The baphomet is a religious symbol of androgyny. Many cultures believe that divinity is symbolized by the male and female united or in one being. Jews even say that the heavenly Adam (before descent into mortality) was both genders at the same time. Thus a trans person is seen by some as re-creating the supposed divine nature of masculine and feminine in balance or as one being.

it goes the other way around, people start leftist but with life experience and knowledge mature into the right.
you can see that on voting patterns.

You're a fucking ding dong.

Compulsory education has led to the braincucked anti-white state in which we currently preside.

& Women shouldn't have the right to vote.

My brother became a lunatic lefty after going to uni. He used to be a libertarian. Every argument he's given me for abandoning it boils down to

> I used to be a libertarian before my professor explained to me that passing laws changes reality and you need to love people enough to pass laws.

i feel like you are greatly misinterpreting something

>free compulsory
Pick one

he means "right" as in "traditionalism and capitalism"

That would only apply to the trannies that wisely keep their dicks attached though right?

Yeah but globalisation is suicide m8. I am a nationalist progressive too. But if I must choose between nationalism and globalism, nationalism always wins so right now I side with the right with no regrets.
I just want the WAP back.

see

james I know it's you, get back to work

So hes a commie because Australia did the right thing 100 years ago? Equating all "progressive" policies with those of a century ago sounds pretty fucking stupid to me. Early Mesopotamians were smart with their agriculture, later Mesopotamians ceased to exist because they kept doing the same shit that worked in the past.

Also are you him? Because he stopped posting and now you're here just saying 'this is what he thinks' i'd rather hear what he has to say, rather than your interpretation of what he has to say 2bh.

Ads invented secret ballot? Uh, try Ancient Greece. Secret ballots were constitutionally mandated for all elections in post revolution France,

I believe so. It's interesting that circumcision is likewise seen as a ritual of androgenization. Transition might then be seen as a next or greater step.

ITT: Shills responding to shills as per The Plan.

You keep changing because you don't understand that Liberal/ Progressive was associated with liberty from oppression. Hence the things you describe fit perfectly. Whereas today's liberal/ progressives are in favor of more government/ more oppression.

Progressives back then yes. Nowadays what are leftists even progressing towards? People being able to diddle little kids and fags sucking cock in the street?

Anyone who really learns, open minded and not cherry pick facts, history, or being apologist to both sides, eventually you'll be hard lean to left

>we invented old aged and disabled pensions,
didn't knew aussie are part of islamic caliphate

>Umar's innovative welfare reforms during the Rashidun Caliphate included the introduction of social security. This included unemployment insurance, which did not appear in the Western world until the 19th century. In the Rashidun Caliphate, whenever citizens were injured or lost their ability to work, it became the state's responsibility to make sure that their minimum needs were met, with the unemployed and their families receiving an allowance from the public treasury.[28] Retirement pensions were provided to elderly people,[27] who had retired and could "count on receiving a stipend from the public treasury".
