Honestly don't know, I know Kubo doesn't like drama but his stamina issues, having to make time for his own practices and coach Yuuri, having two come up with four coreographies and practice them all, it just screams "Viktor is gonna have a mental break down" or "Viktor will get injured".

That doesn't change the implications that they don't communicate their feelings at all still. I honestly struggle to see how they've done anything even after ep 7 like and others expected when the "flirting" we got from them in 12 came across as romantic tension as opposed to a couple being playful. What couple has "almost kisses" like that or hugs that look so devoid of being frequent thing? Even the emotional climax that they're staying together was only under the pretext of coach/athlete.

I would love to be convinced they are actually a couple that fuck each other senseless until noon but ep 12 just crushed all feelings of intimacy they have, emotional and physical, for me.

Well, since YoI takes place in a world without discrimination, I guess there's a chance they could compete in ice dance as a same sex couple. It's a different discipline that they haven't trained for, though, so it would be kind of stupid.

Ice dancing doesn't really take a tool on one's body as much as skating. There are no throws or jumps. Ice dancing it's about synchronization so you don't crash with the other person, it's exactly ballroom dancing over ice.

Yuuri is a pro dancer, they will manag, but yeah rules get in the way.

They should compete in some dumb promotion competition for common people. Like, best ice-skating couple competition for some useless prize which one of them wants and smash regular people. Victor is going back to skating mainly to motivate Yuuri to continue skating because Yuri went batshit insane and was gonna sent off Victor to Russia to continue skating even though he wanted to keep coaching Yuri, and if he's gonna skate then Yuuri has to be physically there because otherwise the only thing that would keep him motivated is gone.

Yuri is asking him to be his coach while Victor is preparing himself.

They are both selfish, but Yuri is the one who gets the most out of Victor compared to what Victor gets from him. Yuri won't have to make double work, for starters.

It might be because I'm a pigfat but I'm glad he's not retiring, that's the thing I needed the most from the ending along with him not getting a gold because of MC powers, I wanted Victor to stay as his coach because it seemed like the best resolution for both of them, but sadly that didn't happen.

What I want the most from a S2 is shenanigans with the other skaters like the ones from Cup of China and with Yuuri retiring that wouldn't be possible. Also, dynamic between the Yuris is one of the best thing in this series in my opinion and now they're training together it could be really nice and Yurio would connect to more people as well.
