Are you looking forward to Violet Evergarden?

...

I look forward to fanart porn

well you're looking forward to something at least

Yes.

Feminist will decry that androids are replacing women and mark this anime as misogynistic.

Only if it's TV series. It will be shit if it's a movie

>force animation: the anime

It will be a masterpiece for sure

How mature will it be? I want to see a sex scene with Violet.

Yes, at least it has a potential to be scenery porn after Your Name.

Who is directing it?

No, I don't look forward to things because I don't feel like getting disappointed.

Yutaka Yamamoto

>Another "Pretty art, meandering plot" abortion from Kyoani

Sounds just like Shinkai

Looks like it'll be pretentious as fuck, hopefully I'll be proven wrong.

I am looking forward for Season 2 of Violet Evergarden in fact. Since first cour will only adapt vol 1.

Vol 2 is released on 29th december only. First novel is interesting - but its one big teaser, it raises more questions than it answers and prepares for actual happenings and revelations hopefully in vol 2.

I doubt they will do 24 episodes at once, given the timeframe - so likely one cour and than separately 2nd cour adapting second novel maybe at Summer or next Fall.

Still, first cour is good enougth to be excited for - though much depends on how KyoAni decides to approach it - which elements of story to show fully, which shorten and focus on more grim stuff and the world or more on violet and characters: it has potental to be both very sad and at times brutal story, or calm and healing story: depends entirely on what they`ll focus on and intentions of director.

Current best KyoAni KINO director - Ishidate.

Good to see people finally realizing Kyoukai no Kanata is Kyoani's best work.

Here's your sex scene.

Who cares what they say? Go fixate on feminists on r9k

The "plot" this time is actually pretty good. Though more to say there are "plots".

There is main story about Violet, which you`ll learn details about slowly as the story progresses - each giving some insight into her past and character: but essentially instead of telling you about her, making her more of an enigma revealing more details that raise questions.

There are separate arks, telling stories of other characters, with focus on them and not Violet. Each having own plot, dynamic and resolution. They are self contained, but important - because through them you learn more details about Violet herself, and more importanly - world.

The novel does consequent world building - so that Violet`s events when you learn about them would be put in context - the war, research of past, post-war social order, religious cults, story of character interacting with Violet, culminating in two important arks: pretty much "Confessions of the devil" where she attends the imprisoned terrorist mastermind that goes full Nietzsche and then ends with ark showing events before all it: during was as Gilbert found Violet, dynamic, bloody and grim events.

And then it ends. So that you have an mystery of Violet - an uneging, superhumanly fast and strong being that doesnt remember her past. That murdered and fought to survive, then lived a docile life helping people, but the world eventually leads her to try to find her past as well in center of events of changing times, before new tempest.

So it`ll be good show, by all means. Interesting to watch and certainly enjoyable. But wether it`ll be a masterpiece of flop depends entirely on next volume events - it can go in multiple directions.

It is certainly not, but Ishidate neverless is the best director. He did great work salvaging it, though i`d say KyoAni did big mistake making TV less bloody and edgy than novel.

There is rape scene. Its not sex scene though, since she murders rapists with bare hands.

People see this picture and see a graceful Lady landing with her parasol.

In reality its childish cyborg eager to try run above water surface like Jesus misinterpreting vague suggestions as commands and succeeding due to Sonic The Hedgehog speed and then after few steps failing and getting those clothes wet

Seems pretentious.
