Rikka was alright at first, but became progressively more annoying once it became apparent she couldn't do anything on her own, even think. The MC had to help her with everything aside from getting dressed. He seemed more like a babysitter than a love interest. Ranko isn't flawless, but she has most of Rikka's good points, without the annoying negatives.
