Note 3: Some people also consider "Tomie no kyoufu gaka" [ シリーズ富江の 恐怖 画家] as part of the Tomie franchise. Tomie no kyoufu gaka was the first Tomie's compilatory tankoubon that was ever released (It was published in 1996) and features five stand-alone stories (Gaka, Ansatsu, Mouhatsu, Youjo and Takitsubo) that were published a year later in Junji Ito's Horror Comic Collection.

Literally one starnd of hair made a girl obsessed with Tomie and later transformed her into Tomie.

Gathering every one of them is impossible. Even if you could, the sun would probably turn into a giant Tomie and the planets would try to kill each other to decide who can orbit the closest to her.

The power of true love. If i remember correctly, the only guys resisting her somewhat had girlfriends, and even then that resistence soon crambled.

They were helping because they knew Tomie too. Deep down, the desire to kill tomie started to form in them too.

There was that one guy with the dead girlfriend who was able to completely resist her all the way to the end. Aside from him having nightmares about Tomie getting killed over and over, which may have made him crazy later I guess.
